Okay, the fact that UU said "come of me" instead of "become of me" makes me think it wasn't a minor slip of the keyboard. I bet something is going to come out of her/them like how LE came out of Doc Scratch.

Homestuck seems to work off a collective consciousness theory, so if that mind-Dirk came from Jake's subconscious (which often has a more accurate portrayal of other people than our own conscious self does), it may be as well close enough to being the real thing. Memories also have a way of hanging around the dream bubbles, like projections.

It'd be cool if mind Dirk stayed.

I'm thinking, perhaps any copy, effigy or iteration of Dirk becomes a separate being, that would be a really interesting power/quirk of being the Prince of Heart. Just like Dave's quest was about realizing his own worth and not just moping in the shadow of Bro/Davesprite/John/his future selves, Dirk would have to find all these splinters of his personality/soul/whatever and, as the Prince, either destroying them or working out how he can use them for destruction.

The denizens are pretty important in the fact that they're the most powerful beings that are vaguely on the player's side, compared to the horrorterrors and Lord English. Both the denizens and players are a product of the game. The reason that we haven't really gotten around to them is the fact that everything up to the EoA5 was the kids entering and escaping their doomed session, and learning how the game works.

Only now are we going to delve into the whole Lord English vs. Horrorterrors vs. Paradox Space ordeal. All our players are going to need some guidance as the plans of the Condense and Lord English unfurl, and we learn more about his true nature and such. That won't really happen though until everyone enters the B2 session, though.

The Horrorterrors might stretch a tentacle a player's way if they believe it will help them in the long run, but they are ultimately opposed to Skaia and the creation of universes, for whatever reason.

Hussie has been writing them so vaguely, it's hard to tell whether they're trying to help the Kids and the Trolls, or if they are trying to stop them. I mean, sure, they sent Scratch / the Condesce / Feferi a city-sized monstrosity capable of wiping out all living trolls, but they also helped Feferi set up the whole dreambubble corpsedrama conspiracy meet-up and they are actually helping them all along by tampering with the Furthest Ring so the meteor can reach the alpha session. They corrupted Rose, but they also helped her and Davesprite reset their bad timeline, and it's arguable whether the whole grimdark phase even was that bad, since it was what allowed her and Dave to reach god tier, and Hussie still isn't telling us whether she still can use their magic or not.

I'm not sure what I wrote due to being tired and sorta rambling, but the horrorterrors' alignments are ambiguous and probably beyond human understanding or some shit.

>> No. 65884
>>65883
Yeah, that's obligatory. The home planet is always destroyed, but since the trolls had already spread across the galaxy Gl'bgolyb was necessary for the extermination to happen.

But since the Condesce had such might over her, she was able to wipe out large parts of the population if she felt like it. The looming threat of possible doom was the only thing keeping the lower blood castes in line, and Alternia would not have been anywhere near as shitty otherwise.
>> No. 65887

>The only concrete thing we know about the Horrorterrors is that something is killing them and they are crying for help.
Do we? We know that Rose/Feferi said so (don't remember who), we haven't actually seen evidence for it even though we assumed Jack to be said threat. What stops the horrorterrors from lying to anyone if they want something done for them?
>> No. 65888
>>65881
I interpret the horrorterrors as a metaphor for the chaotic internet voices controlling the players' actions early on in the comic. They have millions of different agendas, so they are constantly infighting and contradicting each other whenever any of them are trying to get things done. If Rose needs to decide which direction to turn when navigating a maze, some will say "go left," some will say "go right," some will say "plow through the wall Kool-Aid Man style," and one of them will whisper "Dave grunted as he pushed the terrified cucumber into his ass."

It is meaningless to try and paint them collectively as good or evil or having any single motive in any way at all.

Remember the Squiddles?
They are a subconscious manifestation of the Horrorterrors in the form of disgustingly cute cartoon squids. Humanity does not know of their existence and yet we're apparently able to realize that something is wrong.

I don't think they're lying about being slaughtered by whoever this Skipper Plumbthroat is supposed to represent coughenglishcough. If they really wanted to wreck the Kids' shit, there is no way they would be as helpful as they've been thus far.

uu said the disguised piece caps were well crafted, weightless and such. But they're "his" pieces. Why would their weightlessness be an issue to fooling UU if "she" wasn't also moving them around? They're both in the same body.
>> No. 65970
uu "eating" the dead pieces and hiding them, messing with them. Sounds like metaphor for horrorterrors manipulating dead players in the dream bubbles.

two things, here.

first, attaining god tier seems to be correlated with the resolution of a character's issues, but it's not a strict correlation. vriska... didn't undergo any significant change of character as part of becoming the luck fairy.

Dave and Jade are easily the clearest cases

Dave came to grips with his own mortality (something Aradia said was of crucial importance for Time players) and went on a suicide mission to protect Rose. It was really obvious to everybody that he was having a Character Development Moment and next thing you know he gets tiger

Jade brought Jack under control (for a while) and talked to her denizen in order to finish making the frog. And Jadesprite finally stopped whining and used her Bec powers to help her friends. There are different theories about which of these was more important but I think both count.

Someone should catalog all those transport devices. There's transportalizers, that thing Jade used to snapshot biomaterial, gates, lotus pads, window devices, and the machines for transportalizing stuff between universes. Missing anything?
>> No. 66044

Let's see.

We have transportalizers, which have been shown to go between places within a universe or an incipisphere, but have not crossed over from on to the other.
We have Roxy's windows. They seem to go from one place in a universe to another, but cross through the Furthest Ring in the process.

We have Gates and Return Nodes, which go from one place within an Incipisphere to another.

We have defense portals, which go from an incipisphere into the universe it's being played in.
We have the SBURB victory door thing, which leads from an incipisphere into the universe contained in it.
We have the SBURB entry mechanism, which leads from a universe into the incipisphere of the game played in it.

We have appearifiers and sendificators. These are one-way only, but can cross between a universe and the incipisphere of the session that's being played in that universe.
We have whatever the thingie in WV's station is called. It can go from a universe to the incipisphere that universe is located in (as opposed to the incipisphere of a game being played in that universe). It also has a second setting, we don't know what that one does, but it seems likely that it would lead into the icipisphere of the universe's game.

We have the Transmaterializer, which can apparently go two-ways to any point in a universe or its scratched counterpart.

We have First Guardians' bodies, which can lead from anywhere to the Green Sun.

And finally we have brute-force travel through the Furthest Ring, which should be able to get you from any incipisphere to any other incipisphere. And the Green Sun.

Oh and there is the fourth wall, which can lead from anywhere to Hussie's place, and the fifth wall, which can lead from anywhere an in-universe narrator is to Hussie's place.

Myeah, I think that's all the transport devices I can think of.

I mean, okay, we know the players are Main Characters and it is probably inevitable that her dad will die and Roxy will survive one way or another. But how does that translate to Jane figuring out that trying to save her dad is totally futile and she should just worry about her friend?

Speaking of friends she could save, how about Jake? What the fuck is he doing there? He has no extra lives, and no lifey powers. He's in even more distress than Roxy! What if ignoring AR was exactly what she needed to do to show up in time to rescue Jake?

Yeah, Jane is such an idiot because that teleporter was clearly labeled "TRANSPORT TO DERSE, WHICH IS CURRENTLY BEING DESTROYED BY RED MILES. DO NO ENTER"

So far she's just been on a giant, dead, empty planet with lots of open ground to cover. She probably thought that her Dad was just going through some more caverns or crypts.

But I guess everyone's gotta flip out that Jane doesn't know that it would lead to some purple city-planet, where an alternate self of Dirk would be, which pissed off a black-carapace pseudo-alien, which had access to a magic ring, which had the power to destroy said planet with stringy fire-lasers, just because the flippant auto-responder said "No, Jane. I still don't see was is so abnormal about Jane attempting to both save Roxy and find her Dad without a real sense of not knowing how dangerous the other side of the teleporter would be. She probably thought it was no more dangerous as her own planet.

As for Jake, you could argue he has less of an excuse to go into that transportilizer since he didn't have any guardian to worry about. Though he was raised on an island full of dangerous beasts and he probably though he could take what was coming....

...yeah, it probably would have been better if he stayed put.

How true this is depends entirely on how important it is to have your house on your planet, and whether or not you CAN get to your planet without entering the way the game provides. So right now a big "MAYBE", but I'll bet that it is important to do the normal entering sequence.

>>66096
>The chain didn't even exist in the original human session, remember?
Ah, but it did. John did connect with Jade and get her into the game. The odd connection with Dave being the server for Jade was done after the critical game entry was complete, and was just a workaround to deal with the terribly debugged SBURB mechanics after John's computer was lost.

One interesting thing to note though is that this chain will be normal as long as Roxy is the one to be the server for Jake.
Entry Order/Connections (clients on left): Jane -> Dirk -> Jake -> Roxy (Jane servers for Roxy)
Instead of a mobius double reacharound, it's more of a simultaneous reach ahead (Jake server for Dirk) and behind (Jane server for Roxy), skipping the third connection in the interest of getting the fourth one done quickly.
Consequences?

A pair (or even cluster, who knows) of universes (here: the B universes) is contained within one universe frog. That's why he said "internal iterations" and it's why the Miles hit both the B1 and B2 universe.
As for the guy who "hired" Jack, well, remember that the circumstances around the destruction of A2 and B1 and the Scratching of the kids' session were facilitated by Doc Scratch and, by extension, Lord English.

Well not really.
Jack can destroy both B1 and B2 because he's attacking it from the outside, not the inside. Normally, Jack would never be able to find BS because he lives in the progenitor session of the universe, therefore something no one would typically have access to.
Now, why Bec Noir's Red Miles can utterly decimate a universe is explained by either:
a)Jack's Red Miles are First Guardian enchanced
b)Since he's attacking the universe from the outside, where it's much smaller, the Red Miles can stretch enough to tear it a part with some wibbly wobbly spacey logic

The thing is that these multiple universes are not just multiple universes, they are also, literally, a great big frog. Which is understandably far more fragile than a universe, and susceptible to attacks that can fuck up planetoids.
Now in an ideal SBURB game, this would probably not be an issue. The players are supposed to win the game before creating their Bilious Slick, so there shouldn't be anything willing and able to destroy him left in the session. Maybe destroying the rings, as the trolls did, is even the way it's supposed to go. There are still many things about the Ultimate Alchemy that we don't know.

>> No. 66161
>>66158
Well, I'm not sure myself, but from what I've understood it works like this: When you scratch the game, the universe/BS creates a new timeline which splits from the previous one right at its creation, and then makes that universe the new alpha timeline. So instead of B1 being the real universe and the real timeline, B2 takes its place. It also recons a few things that happened in the session, such as changing the Skaian portals so that the meteors carrying the babies end up in the new universe and in the right order.

So yeah, they are basically different sub-pockets of reality, space and time.

In my distress I called upon the Lord, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears.
Then the earth shook and trembled; the foundations also of the hills moved and were shaken, because he was wroth.
There went up a smoke out of his nostrils, and fire out of his mouth devoured: coals were kindled by it.
He bowed the heavens also, and came down: and darkness was under his feet.
And he rode upon a cherub, and did fly: yea, he did fly upon the wings of the wind.
He made darkness his secret place; his pavilion round about him were dark waters and thick clouds of the skies.
At the brightness that was before him his thick clouds passed, hail stones and coals of fire.
The Lord also thundered in the heavens, and the Highest gave his voice; hail stones and coals of fire.
Yea, he sent out his arrows, and scattered them; and he shot out lightnings, and discomfited them.
Then the channels of waters were seen, and the foundations of the world were discovered at thy rebuke, O Lord, at the blast of the breath of thy nostrils.

Now that that's over with, looking at all the THEORIES, I've gotta say I originally considered UU might have been a third species when her first pesterlog was revealed, but I will admit i was fooled by the troll costume like probably everyone else.

Also, more than 12 classes CONFIRMED in the FACE. I'm a little worried about these "master" classes though. I had kinda thought/hoped that each class would be formidable in their own way in the end game (God Tiers), but "master class" makes it sound like there are definite ranks to the classes, meaning that some can be much more "OP" than others. HMMM.

Also, CHERUBS. How does their session relate to the human/troll mess? Was their Bilious Slick the Troll's universe (Universe A?). Are they from the universe that the Kids/Teens will hopefully make? Or are they from a completely unrelated universe/session? If so, why pick Humans/Trolls to bugger out of all of paradox space?

Ohh, I just had a THEORY, but I'll put it in the ideas and theories thread.

"Limebloods" might not be a real thing. Calliope was basically roleplaying a Mary-Sue troll character the entire time. The special powers and tragic backstory with Calliope being the "last of her kind" could easily be all made up. The real limebloods don't have bright blood like Calliope did, they have the yellowy-green colour on the Grand Highblood's wall and probably aren't super special or extinct. Or, well, I guess they are extinct, because none of the troll characters are limebloods, but they weren't systematically exterminated or anything.

This made me wonder about something: We've seen that humans, trolls and cherubim were recruited to play the game, level up, complete the task and all that jazz. There are probably shitload of races that play Sburb. We've also seen that carapaces can influence the game from both the inside and the outside. Given that carapaces are a created race for the war they are supposed to be only an internal part of the game, but we've seen how lenient Sburb is with requirements.

Do you think there are sessions played by carapaces? I think it's possible, but it demands a whole set of crazy circumstances for it to happen, like carapaces being sent to an universe devoid of sapient life and bringing the needed tech with them. Or maybe being part of a chain mixed with other species. Either way I don't see why Skaia would "refuse" them.
>> No. 66386
At one point it was mentioned that the carapaces are meant to repopulate your dead world and eventually prepare it for another session. So presumably there have been at least some sessions played by, like, the distant descendants of exiles and such. It's just that both Earth and Alternia were destroyed with their universes, so that never had a chance to happen.
Of course, if I recall, Karkat said that. Or maybe Terezi. Either way, it might have simply been a mistaken assumption.
