So. Lord English is born from a glitched session.

We have seen his ENTRY into a universe but not his birth.

Lord English can only be cause by a glitch.

The glitch of no prototyping.

Prototyping a ring causes the 'final boss' to have restrictions. Force is to be bird/dog/etc.

Without restrictions the ring just results in....

Lord English.

Droog and english use pool cues as weapons. Droog is a womanizer and classy.

I'm telling you.

He will be Lord English the next time we see him.

Hmm? If that's literal, as in the aspect of void, that has a lot of implications. Is Derse's ring powered by void, while Prospit's ring powered by light? Would Roxy be able to use red miles if she mastered her aspect or something? What kind of powers does Prospit's ring have beyond the prototyping?

I don't think it's that literal. It is the ring of a void session, and there may be a similarity or two, but I don't think it's literally powered by that Aspect. Why would it even.
As for the Red Miles thing, Jack used it too, and his ring had fuckall to do with void.

There are Exiled carapaces, but none of them can reach any Exile stations except maybe the one located by Roxy's home. Remember that Exile stations land near the home of their corresponding player's server player (WV was at Rose's home, PM was at John's, etc). Since only one of the Alpha kids' homes is accessible to the exiled carapaces, probably only one kid could have an Exile: whoever winds up with Roxy as their server player.

Rose brings up the fact that underlings would remain unprototyped alongside the royalty, implying they would exist. However, I'm pretty sure in one of the LoWaS walkaround flashes, someone said that Typheus was creating the underlings for Derse. That seems like something that could be retconned out, though, as they never make it to the battlefield. They seem like just a part of each hero's quest and land.

If that were the case, though, that the underlings were a result of the war beginning, then it would make sense they wouldn't appear if the war never starts in a void session. Otherwise, no monsters because of everything on the planet being dead would make sense.

If someone could find that salamander who talked about the underlings, that would help. There's like 20 of those bastards throughout two flashes. Kinda hard to find.

My theory is that this is an effect of post-condesce earth- she outlawed "normal" human relationships/breeding, so it became a weird, proscribed thing that's considered obscene.

Either that or trolls, along with regular porn, have ashen and pale porn. Pale porno is just, like, a couple of trolls in a pile talking about their feelings and touching each other's hair for fifteen minutes.

Anyway, since we've been so distracted by Dirk shenanigans, anyone want to guess just what exactly Jane's Dad is on about this time? John's Dad got kidnapped and was pretty much always trying to find his way back to his son while dealing with whatever he came across. This time it seems like he's purposely leaving Jane alone, while while it may be meta-necessary, doesn't automatically sit with his character.

Well, except that he had a ton of off screen exposition from Aranea that we missed )':, during which he was completely distracted by her hot blue-spideriness. I don't think he can die in a dream bubble, can he?

Almost certainly not. We've seen Dave and John get dreamstabbed, and all it did was wake them up.
Well, I guess we technically don't know what it did to John, but Dave definitely woke up.

Right now, we have three kinds of dreambubble presences interacting. We have Jake, who's dreaming and should therefore just wake up when killed, we have Roxy, Dave, Rose, WV and the A2 trolls, who are physically in the bubbles and can probably die, and we have the A1 trolls. No idea what happens if they are killed.

I hope they wrestle and Meenah comes on top.

That'd be hot.

While fruity rumpus meteor town is certainly physically passing through the bubble, the people on it can opt in or out of the bubble by going to sleep or remaining awake. Karkat may have woken himself up when he chose to get the hell out of there.

Jake just suckered punched a ghost and Meenah's enjoying him roughing her up! Guess she's the little masochist.

What's up with Pages charging Thieves?

You know. This is probably the closest thing to what trolls consider hatesex.

Not only can she bask in the glory of her alternate self's raucous life story, but she even gets laid! Pretty good day to be a ghost.

Well the Condescence probably always wanted to have hatesex with Lord English anyway.
This is the closest thing to that.

What's up with Terezi being so gloom.

She's probably bummed out because the internet friends she's spent all this time convincing about how cool all of them are found out they're just as lame as they are in real life.

Seriously, was anyone else a bit bummed when we found out Dave and Rose aren't nearly as badass as we thought they were "online"? Rose talks like a normal girl instead of some 9th level literary prodigy and Dave sounds almost like an idiot.
>> No. 65846
>>65841
It's been a year on that meteor. It's unlikely she's still in a crisis over how uncool they are. I'm guessing she's mostly just fed up with Karkat being a ridiculous idiot and Dave humouring him.

Rose dropped most of the walking dictionary act when she started to investigate the Green Sun. Right now, she's in a healthy middle between her early pesterlogs and the impatient quick chats she had to rely on before going grimdark. Most of all, she seems happy and relaxed.

As for Dave, him speaking more normally just shows that he, to some extent, is outgrowing the ridiculous hipster phase lingo. Which is a good thing, since not wrapping every question in lengthy pop cultural metaphors and instead being at least slightly more open about his feelings points towards character development.

Both Rose and Dave's development is about how they have to become more idealistic, get in touch with their emotions and place trust their friends. Most of that "cool" behaviour was just their shields, and it's only natural that some of those layers would be peeled away eventually.

Also, read that sweet Rose dictionary spewing, she's not lost her ability to use all those lengthy words.

Terezi was talking about how they're not as cool as she tries to convince everyone, literally just minutes ago from where we are now.

I'm not saying Rose and Dave's change is a bad thing, just a bit disappointing at first. It's now kind of endearing, actually. But I disagree that it's only to show a marked difference between how they were then and now, I think Andrew's point with that (and Terezi trying to act cool and failing) is to show that nobody is as put-together and "with it" as they seem online. When Dave and Rose are online, they can cherry pick their words and come off as badass sounding, instead of looking like the awkward teenagers they really are when dealing with others in realtime. It's a very nice touch.

>DIRK: God my existence is weird.

I'd probably say more Dirk what with his previous juggling of multiple selves and the vague power of "destroying souls/hearts" makes me think that he's shattered his soul into all these pieces.

I find it really hard to believe she was in a stupor over how cool she sort-of-but-not-actually turns out to be, because of this panel: http://mspaintadventures.com/?s=6&p=006905

An ego trip, maybe? Jake kept going on about what the condesce did, msybe he kept going, but it just didn't show up in the log out if mercy. I would be a little impressed if my post-scratch version was so (from the perspective of a stab-happy see-witch) awesome that a person attacks me based on what the post-scratch version did. Im not entirely sure if she knows that jake is sort of clueless on how the whole thing works. Also does Terezi have a dirk-mind-splinter now, too?
>> No. 65860
maybe dirk is projected in whenever someone thinks about him
so when jake was examining dirk's existence during his dream bubble, dirk's heart powers projected a little of the real dirk into the figment, and that's what's keeping holo-dirk around
