I do think Veronica could perhaps be called "nicer" than Fran, in that she tends to think a bit more like a normal person. She takes into account things like quality of life, whereas Fran focuses more on simply ensuring life, whether it's a particularly good one or not.

It's sort of funny that Fran mentions the over-sized eyes when her and Veronic even moreso also have pretty damn big ones, even if they're not that exaggerated... which seems to actually be represented by their skeleton(s)!

This chapter had a different feel than usual, didn't it? Not bad, just different, kind of free-form and open. Usually Fran ends with something like "In a hilarious, Twilight-Zone style twist, Event A happens!" This chapter is different; Fran observes the monster, and we observe other people's reactions to it, but there's no "Well, that wraps things up" moment, and it could be the first part in an ongoing storyline. Which would be fine by me!
