You are now realizing that Miranda Lawson looks like Michael Jackson.http://www.morphthing.com/image/25203422-1273549944664-jpg-1273551707786-jpg?key=b14ca99734643c60e51ca314ea79bab6[/spoiler]
So....I guess I'm the only one that already knew that?
>>79330Oh get outta here Tiki, trying to be all observant. You couldn't observe a safety precaution if it slapped you in the balls, let alone a mild resemblance.I'm just kiddin, man, I love ya.
People were joking about this before ME2 even came outslowpoke much?
The two of them combined look even better than themselves separated. Who knew? All Miranda needed was more MJ. All MJ needed was more Miranda.
>>79342 Shut up, diet Moe
So, remembering vaguely from the last thread, the Asari do not breed with other species, so much as they use their genetic structure as a template for sploicing up their own child's. But that doesn't explain the apparent damage to the Asari's own DNA.
>>79359>damageHuh? What damage are we referring to?
I knew there was something missing in /cog/.But didn't recall it until now: this threads!
>>79396When fighting Collectors with Samara or Mordin, Harbinger will comment on the "fragility" of the Asari genetic code, citing the reliance on other species for genetic randomization.
One interesting piece of information: if the Salarians wanted to test a genetically diverse species, they'd be better off importing a couple chimpanzees than kidnapping humans. Some studies of areas on the X chromosome of humans and chimpanzees indicate that overall genetic diversity is higher in chimpanzees than in humans.
Anyone try out the Equalizer Pack which I didn't know had been released until just now?
>>79401Well, it's fragile, but I wouldn't call that damage. And to be honest, all Asari need is DNA randomization. One of the NPCs in the game commented to that, "Radiation would do the same thing.">>79409I haven't tried it out. I can't get excited about new equipment, especially when I've played through the game four times now. Gimme an expanded romance DLC and we'll talk. (Yeah, I like my dating sim, thankyouverymuch)
>>79409That visor is fucking cool as shit. Everything else is just okay.
>>79409I'm planning on dropping some points on it in a couple of days. Really looking forward to it. My only complaint about the armor is the stats. I imagine it would almost make playing the game too easy, but then again, it would give me a reason to try a nightmare-mode playthrough. The aesthetics are absolutely marvelous, though.>>79411To elaborate on this, the asari race reproduce with electrical impulses and a melding of the nervous systems, and they use this bond to explore the genetic heritage of their partners. It's more of a "survival of the fittest" thing, since the asari joining allows them to choose the beneficial genetic traits of another species to pass on to their offspring. So really, it's more of an advantage than anything. A pureblood asari is just a genetic rehashing of the species' usual traits.
>>79422Another note: This is why most asari choose not to breed with humans, since most of our short history has been spent developing our genes instead of perfecting them.
>>79333I know, but just so you know, I get into those problems helping people who DON'T heed signs and precautions.>>79409Oh Wow, gonna have to try it.
>>79423Indeed. Only the truly exceptional like Shepard and Miranda would be beneficial overall.
>>79429Perhaps. Miranda's engineering might prove conflictual with the asari melding, though. Maybe not.
>>79422I had thought that the passing on of genetic traits was a myth among Asari, and the melding just allowed the Asari to further randomise their own genetic structure.
Wait... Miranda had a face? And FFFFF- that new DLC looks delicious, too bad my free month subscription burnt out shortly after I dl'ed Kasumi.
dr pepper DLC headgear was better
>>79445Its really debatable. Officially they say no but the facial markings of an Asari always match up with the facial structure of the "father" alien.
>>79409Bought the DLC, took the armor out for a test run. No huge benefits, but very flashy. Currently using the visor with my Infiltrator character. Now my only complaint is that they haven't actually added a female version of the full suit yet. Unless it was intentional, there should be a patch soon.
I smell samefag, but I'm not sure where
I hope they make Shepard's dancing less ridiculous looking in the future.
>>79530Yeah, what was with that anyways? He was doing fine in ME 1, but he just McLovin'd up in 2.On a related note, I completely forgot the shadows under Liara's eyes.
>>79535He has never been a good dancer. ME2 just made it more obvious to continue the gag.
>>79536>he>implying FemShep isn't the superior ShepardANYWAY.>>79530>>79535I completely forgot that Liara draws her eyebrows. It's seriously jarring. Is it weird for me to think Morinth is more attractive than Samara? It's the facial expressions.
>>79545I call her Morinth Man-Jaw.Because her jaw bears several traits associated with masculinity.
>>79536THE SHEPARD SHUFFLE IS THE BEST DANCE
Shepard sucks at dancing. Its canon. I don't want them to change it.
>>79547I laughed at the name.>>79549The Rachni learned everything they know about human dancing from Shepard.Actually, how much of an impact has Shepard had on other cultures concerning their view of humans as a species?
>>79546>>79545I'm more of a fan of Shiala and Aethyta.
The Commander's good at damn near everything else, I guess they had to lame him up somewhere. lol Shepard Shuffle
I always thought it was odd how every female dancing NPC is wearing a floor-length skirt, and that was the only time characters wore skirts.Actually, were there any male dancing NPCs?
Well I'd say that everything is settled down after that buisness with th- ALL HAIL THE OVERLORD!
>>79569HAIL HAIL HAIL!
>>79562Actually my favorite Asari are Aethyta and Aria. I'd love a Bonnie & Clyde-esque adventure story of the two of them.Add Wrex for even more win
>>79570You know.....I think I might pass on this DLC. Not story related, not that interested. >_>
>>79569What happened to Zordon?
>>79576Alpha left The Matrix playing on a loop
>>79572>implying you won't buy it anyways you Bioware slut
>>79641I'm hoping this one will be free.
>>79651560 Space Bucks
>>79655Curse them. I want more free shit dammit. Unless it does something amazing I'll probably pass.
>>79679That reminds me. Maleshep has the manliest codename ever in Kasumi's mission.Seriously, Solomon Gunn. Can you make a cooler fucking name than that?
>>79681Max Power? But yeah, Solomon Gun is a damn fine name.
>>79681Maston Thrust.
>>79681Ugh, Kasumi's mission was frustrating. She kept dying on me. I swear I used at LEAST 5 Medigels on her.
>>79695She kick ass for me. I just sat back as she stealth striked our way to victory.
>>79687Brick Hardcheese
Rock Punchgroin
>>79700Slab Bulkhead.
>>79697It was probably because I was playing as an Infiltrator myself, so she drew all the fire as I was snipin.
>>79708 Infiltrator high five!
>>79709Hell yes!
>>79710 There's just something really cathartic about taking a Batarian's head off while he's chatting with his buddy.
>>79712Those Blue Suns never saw what hit 'em. Especially since his friend then had brain gore all over his visor.
>>79713 There's something to be said for Vanguard and flinging people around too, but it just doesn't match the satisfaction of blasting a hole in someone's shield and then putting a bullet in the SAME spot.Plus, ejecting that spent thermal clip is badass no matter how you slice it.
>>79715Oh god, the satisfaction of hearing the "chi-thuk" and seeing that clip pop out while your headless victim is still falling down in the background is THE BEST FEELING.Personally I prefer tech to biotic. Incineration and AI Hacking are the most useful skills ever. Not to mention having a dronebro to help you out on the field.
>>79716 I miss some of the ME1 Infiltrators skills like Overload, but Incineration does have that wonderful achievement where you make 20 enemies die screaming on fire. It's also pretty nice to line up a shot and wait until your target springs out of cover just to get a bullet in the face. Or shoot them in the ass while they hide, that's always nice too.ITT: Infiltrator wank.
>>79718Well, you could always look into Advanced Training and add Overload to your set of skills. And I always try to bring heavy hitters with me on missions. Biotics throw the enemies around too much, and techs are show-offs most of the time. Soldiers know how to keep the opposition hiding, which makes those brief moments when they come out of cover excellent chances for headshots (or buttshots, if the situation calls for it).
>>79720 Normally I always try to bring Garrus with me. Heavy Concussive Shot will knock people off platforms when required, (Woot, Rail Killing!) and his assault rifle does wonders. The third member of the party tends to switch out more as the situation calls for it. Though Tali is always on the list (Go for the optics Chikktika!)
>>79716>>79718INFILTRATORS, FUCK YEAH! You are the best class in the history of fucking anything, I swear to god. And holy shit, I know the Widow has more stopping power, but I don't go ANYWHERE without the Viper. There is nothing more badass in all this world then firing off 12 sniper rounds in rapid succession. I feel so fucking cool every time I do it jesus christ.(As for who I typically bring with me? Jack and Grunt. They can both take all kinds of punishment and keep going. It's amazing.)
>>79723 Jack serves me very well for what I call "crowd control"Take that you fucking Husks! Have a facefull of SHOCKWAVE!
>>79724Fuck yes, I laugh every time I see those grey bastards flopping off into the distance each time she whips that move out. Their surprised groans are hilarious.
space wizard was here, using mah space magic to turn enemies into pinballs.then teaming up with black guy for ultra-pinball mode
>>79731
I still need to play Engineer and Adept, but so far Infiltrator and Vanguard are the bee's knees. The Widow is a BEAST. I doubt I could get through Insanity without it. Well that and AI Hacking. PROTIP: Don't do Aria's cache mission on Insanity mode unless you have AI Hacking.
>>79753 The Cain does wonders too.
>>79753Protip: Get Cain at level 10, save all 20 crates.
>>79772Real men play Insanity from a level 30 save
I remember the first time I fired the Cain.It was high in the towers of Illium, the enemy had me pinned as they occupied the bridge leading to the penthouse, and to Thane.I swept up, taking a shot or two as the Cain charged, and then it spat fire and death.I killed myself with it and had to do it again, but so worth it.
>>79793>I killed myself with it
Posting the hat series for /baw/.
>>79799I don't get it.
>>79801You wouldn't.
>>79804I love how tiny her mouth looks compared to the rest of her face. It is a tiny mouth.
ITT if ME2 was made by Valve?
>>79806You mean we'd still be waiting for it?
>>79805 Well the Asari basically are filter/bottom feeders. The only way they can advance is by leaching off the success of others. Breeding or mind eating, one way or another they’ll find a way to get their hands on what you have.
>>79804Oh, hey, I somehow missed this one. Thanks!
>>79810There's a reason for that. I made it earlier this afternoon.
>>79804This makes me want to see Liara as a space pimp.
oh christ what have i done
>>79818Perfection. :D
>>79812 You mean she isn't already!?
>>79800Amonkira keep my pimp hand strong.
>>79860 The Hanar taught him well."Must this one choke a bitch?"
>>79861"This one would enkindle dat ass three ways through thursday."
