See, the problem with this line of thought is that we've already seen a super-prototyped game construct. Jack (Bec Noir version) is pretty much the epitome of the game constructs, and while DD is a fantastic character with much more of a schemer's aplomb, going back to a game construct seems like...a step backwards.

Lord English, it's implied, is Caliborn, who's a fellow player gone hopelessly bad, completely evil. As Jack was the epitome of construct opposition, he's the epitome of player opposition: put simpler, Jack is the hardest PvE fight in SBURB, English/Caliborn is the near-hardest PvP match.

The only thing that's going to be stronger than him is a player that was on the "right" side and then betrayed his friends--i.e., Gamzee.

Let's look at some other evidence:

-Gamzee is the most important character in Homestuck.
-Gamzee has demonstrated incredible power out of nowhere (the fight against the Black King)
-Gamzee is known for mimicry (his Jokerkind sylladex)
-Bards are known for their capability to save or destroy whole sessions
-Gamzee was the last person to talk to Doc Scratch

I think Calliope will be the one to write the code/create Sburb. She's the Muse of Space; the ultimate passive class paired with the aspect most closely associated with the creation of universes. And if we're to believe Jade, it's also connected to physics.

If Calliope ends up making Sburb, she has allowed for the creation of a possibly infinite number of universes. Through these sessions and universes, she's also establishing tiny pockets of conventional physics in the vast and eternal realm of space-time fuckery that is the Furthest Ring. After all, wouldn't it be incredibly appropriate for the Muse of Space to spread her dream/goal/influence throughout existence without actually doing much herself and the creation of countless races, societies and individuals, especially when considering that her opposite, the Lord of Time, is seemingly working to end reality itself?

Without going into a full-blown character analysis, I'd say that Rose drinking (on the meteor; the doomed timeline is another matter entirely) is a sign that she's grown up, and that she's come to terms with her Mom's alcoholism and her feelings towards her. One could perhaps also argue that she's exploring the more Void-y parts of her personality, since it slightly obfuscates her speech (and thoughts).

I doubt Gamzee would show his face to these two. Rose doesn't seem to have a beef with him, but Kanaya pretty much wants to slice him in half.

Also, these last few pages have been rather enjoyable for me, but probably not for the same reason as most people. For ages now I've seen countless attempts to portray Kanaya and Rose as a couple. It's probably one of the strongest ships in the series, despite the fact that, until very recently, neither of them had even hinted that they might have feelings for the other. It always irked me that it was almost impossible to find anything that involved the two of them (who play off each other quite well just being friends) that didn't pair them romantically, almost always casting Kanaya as the bashful little girl crushing on the sassy Ms. Lalonde.

Now that it's actually happening, it's Rose who is stressed out by the prospect and Kanaya hadn't even read into the invitation enough to plan for any romantic involvement and, once she discovers Rose's intentions, she takes it all in her stride. I find it a refreshing twist on what had become to me a very tired setup.

Here's how I read it.
Definition: Let's call the thing that makes a person that person, but is not a body, a "soul".
Souls have been shown to inhabit different bodies. They get swapped around between real- and dreamselves when they go to sleep/wake up. When a body goes unconscious (or dead) without another one to contain the soul, it gets forced into the dream bubbles, manifesting as a projection. The soul is vulnerable here, and can be destroyed as demonstrated by LE's hyper beam thing.

Calliope and Caliborn are two souls linked to the same body. Originally, this worked out by having one soul in the body and one in its dreamself at all times. But when Caliborn killed Calliope's dreamself, her soul didn't have a backup body to go to. Which is why, as soon as Caliborn took over the body, her soul was forced into the bubbles, thus made vulnerable to be destroyed. That is why LE is looking for her.

Now the weird thing is, of course, that we saw what looked like LE's body being created, when he was born out of Doc Scratch. But I'm pretty sure that, for the purposes of the whole soul thing, it's still the same body. It's certainly missing the leg and the tooth, and Doc Scratch was pretty specific about LE being summoned, not created.

How exactly Cal and Scratch play into this entire business, though? No idea.

Her Seer power is to know the outcome of an individual's decisions, but from what we've seen so far it seems more focused on preventing doomed timelines, so its use in this situation is unclear. Aranea, while a Light player, isn't good for this sort of thing either. While Rose's power is to see connections and what needs to happen to achieve the most fortuitous outcome and would likely be able to figure out what's going on, Aranea's role is to help others heal and develop through illuminating underlying facts and helping them see things for what they really are, which is why she's so obsessed with exposition. I figured it was actually a non-dream-bubble ring that was brought to the outer ring somehow.

...that raises the question of what the real limits of being a bubble-ghost are, actually. Bubble-ghosts can be killed, they can hold physical objects, interact with the living, and they're not tied to their dream bubbles apparently. So are they essentially the same as dreamselves or something?

Well, they had a pretty complex relationship. Dave idolized Bro, but he was also a bit afraid of him, I guess, due to his freaky hobbies and general weirdness. During their session Dave went through this whole character arc of self-loathing and stepping out of Bro's shadow and establishing himself as his own person, and grieved for a bit after finding his body... but while Rose accepted most of her Mom's faults and came to see their relationship in a new light, Dave never got to properly sort out his issues with Bro. And then, out of literally nowhere, a younger version of his Bro appears in a dream bubble, takes his sleeping kid Mom and disappears.

I actually thought he'd take it a bit worse than he did.
