What if John is really about to find out how evil Vriska is at the core?

Maybe her plan she was concocting wasn't meant for his eyes, and his newly skeptical teenaged mind won't be able to swat it away with naivete. I liked this ship too but it might be heading into a real iceberg.
>> No. 69089
>>69088
But Vriska's not evil at the core, she was a scared little girl playing hardcore highblood pirate, and she paid for her hubris in the end with her life.

Also, I really doubt that her desire to live again is going to involve something super evil, unless it's like, allying with Lord English/Caliborn? But that dude is breaking the afterlife and leaving nothing behind.

It's much more likely that John will meet Tavros, and either a.) suddenly have a name and a face for the guy Vriska killed, making him see her as much worse, or b.) he will think Vriska has found a troll boyfriend and be like "phew! so much for that d8, hahahaha! :B" while she is all "::::("

>> No. 69137
>>69136

All we know is that she's tired of being jerked around by the afterlife/Hussie/what-have-you, so she wants to do something about it. Dunno what that might be, exactly. She doesn't need an army to combat the idea of the afterlife. Maybe she's getting Tavros to collect treasure for Meenah so she can get into her army, or trick her? Or maybe she's just giving Tavros menial tasks to do.

We don't really know what Vriska's deal is yet, what she thinks of Tavros or John, and what her exact plan is.

I don't think Tavros has really changed. He just swears more often and gives Vriska more sass. Which he was already doing last time we saw him.
>> No. 69174
I'm placing bets on it being DD. He's shown more understanding of his situation than any other so-called game construct, and it is implied that he may have orchestrated LE's creation, whereas Gamzee is merely fitting events together as part of the puzzle. DD strikes me as a mastermind doing it for himself.
>> No. 69176
Gotta say it's nice getting to see what Vriska's been up to all this time.
I'd almost forgot why I enjoyed her so much in the first place. She's just so fucking cocky and full of herself it makes me smile like a madman.
>> No. 69177

Would make sense, as the B2 sessions has been focusing quite a bit on DD. I guess we'll see in Act 6 Act 4 (whenever we finally get there, god damn this intermission is long) and what else he does besides killing everything with the red miles. (CMON DROOG YOU CAN DO BETTER THAN JACK)
>> No. 69180
>>69174
But what motivation does he have?
I mean, what could he possibly gain by orchestrating the rise of an immortal omnipotent omnicidal time-travelling universe-devouring reality-wrecking skull angel of double death?

The Horrorterrors (with whom the Dersites are allied) hate English, as do his boss the Condesce and Jack, his, uh, friend?. Unless Kurloz or Gamzee are somehow brainwashing or controlling him (it wouldn't be the first time, after all), I can't see him working for English under any circumstances.
>> No. 69181
>>69180
That's the point. Someone even bigger than LE wouldn't be working for him, but they certainly would use his creation as some vehicle for ulterior motives. DD is probably the most shady character in Homestuck.
>> No. 69182
>>69174

See, the problem with this line of thought is that we've already seen a super-prototyped game construct. Jack (Bec Noir version) is pretty much the epitome of the game constructs, and while DD is a fantastic character with much more of a schemer's aplomb, going back to a game construct seems like...a step backwards.

Lord English, it's implied, is Caliborn, who's a fellow player gone hopelessly bad, completely evil. As Jack was the epitome of construct opposition, he's the epitome of player opposition: put simpler, Jack is the hardest PvE fight in SBURB, English/Caliborn is the near-hardest PvP match.

The only thing that's going to be stronger than him is a player that was on the "right" side and then betrayed his friends--i.e., Gamzee.

Let's look at some other evidence:

-Gamzee is the most important character in Homestuck.
-Gamzee has demonstrated incredible power out of nowhere (the fight against the Black King)
-Gamzee is known for mimicry (his Jokerkind sylladex)
-Bards are known for their capability to save or destroy whole sessions
-Gamzee was the last person to talk to Doc Scratch
-HUSSIE FUCKING LOVES CLOWNS

I mean, I hope I'm wrong. I'm digging Caliborn, honestly, I hope we don't go the "and then AN EVEN WORSE MOTHERFUCKER THAN LORD ENGLISH SHOWS UP" route because that would just be stupid! But if there's an Even Worse Guy, it'll be Gamzee.
>> No. 69183
>>69182

-Oh, one more thing: Gamzee has been shown to have synergy with Li'l Cal. The real Li'l Cal, not Dirk's fake one.

Caliborn himself said the only purpose of that juju is to make the universe it inhabits into a nightmare.

If a new enemy arises, it needs to be different than NEWANDIMPROVEDEXTRASTRONG3XCLEANINGPOWER.
It was what made Doc Scratch such a good villian, he was manipulative and scheming, as opposed to Jack's deathmurderkill. It was refreshing and interesting, would you rather be stabbed in the back or front?
Kurloz could be great as a team sabotaging mole. New forms of challenges, rather than "Oh jeez this again"
>> No. 69210

It almost kills me that we may never know where Sburb originates and how it was created. I still feel Scratch is an underlying entity involved in it, other than LE. Like, some sort of devil figure who ensures LE does as intended. I may have said this before.
>> No. 69216
>>69215

There has to be some reason Caliborn has this immortality, such a strange game session, and integration into universes throughout all of paradox space. It'll probably have to do with the fundamentals of Sburb, so I'm looking forward to seeing what happens in his session.
>> No. 69217
>>69215
This is honestly the one thing I've been curious about since act 1.

What's probably going to happen is the same deal with the Green Sun

Everyone's probably going to come together and code the game in the first place and send it to the first ever universe (undoubtedly created by the Cherub's session in a paradox reacharound) so that all the universe's could exist in the first place
>> No. 69219
>>69215
I always liked to think that sburb had no origin, that there's an infinite amount of sessions and universes into the past with no fist one existing.
>> No. 69220
I think Calliope will be the one to write the code/create Sburb. She's the Muse of Space; the ultimate passive class paired with the aspect most closely associated with the creation of universes. And if we're to believe Jade, it's also connected to physics.

If Calliope ends up making Sburb, she has allowed for the creation of a possibly infinite number of universes. Through these sessions and universes, she's also establishing tiny pockets of conventional physics in the vast and eternal realm of space-time fuckery that is the Furthest Ring. After all, wouldn't it be incredibly appropriate for the Muse of Space to spread her dream/goal/influence throughout existence without actually doing much herself and the creation of countless races, societies and individuals, especially when considering that her opposite, the Lord of Time, is seemingly working to end reality itself?

I think she'll inspire others to do it for her, since that's what muses tend to do. The kids and trolls would most likely work on parts that play to their various specialties, with Sollux and Dirk probably handling most of the actual coding, Roxy maybe also coding but probably handling everyone else's IT problems, Jade advising them on how to make physics work, etc.
