Well, that perfume *might* actually work as a Charm effect on people who smell it. In that case it'd be as as easy as not being able to smell.
If it really is a fortify personality effect, well, good luck. Stealth or ranged tactics would probably have the greatest chance of success, after having made sure that the effects have worn off, obviously.
Also it would be interesting to see a conversation where both sides use the stuff.

To be disappointed, you need to start out expecting something, and then have that expectation denied. I can't really get my head around people expecting things to go swimmingly for Katia when the whole thing is subtitled "Making a cat cry: the adventure".
Besides, isn't the thing supposed to be a, well, prequel to Oblivion? Meaning that unless there's that "not the main character after all" tweest inbound, it's going to end with her in prison.

There are a BUNCH of characters who do stuff that only the player could get away with in the actual game. For example, I pretty much swindled people the same way as Sigrid in my Thieves Guild playthrough.

I guess Gharug just gets singled out for not obviously being based on a named NPC. He's actually (probably) a reference to the Adventurers you encounter sometimes in certain dungeons (http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Adventurer). Most players don't know about them though, since the main quests don't send you to places where they can appear.
