And in the Ankama-verse, it's the actual name of what we call cats (they don't have cats and bow meows), so it's not a cutified alternate name.
Up til recently, I would have told you I've never seen "chat" or "chien" in Ankama's stuff, even in standard idioms containing them, but Remington 4 has "chat de gouttière" ("stray cat"). I would have expected "chacha de gouttière", given their track record. Now it kind of throws my previous paragraph's argument off balance.
