pokemon you want to see in the next genI really want:a turkey pokemona squid pokemona pokemon that looks like a samuraia fire/water salamandera "missingo" pokemon thats only flying and learns fly, brave bird and watergun.
>>5488Just emulate the third type with an Ability. Use Levitate or Volt Absorb, or invent some new ability.
if they actually rooted out on the whole "sound" element I would like to see human shaped Pokemon based off musicians.Imagine Mr.mime evolving into Klaus nomi or a lady gaga one.shit would be hax
I'd like to see an evolution for Primeape. Like, a badass boxing warthog monkey.Or just a warthog pokemon in general.
>>3208They used to have a dolphin pokemon but they all got eaten.
>>6658Kyogre counts sort of.
There oughtta be a kid-friendly Pokemon version of the Candiru.
>>6797......o_o
>>6813It would give an entirely new meaning to Swift Swim. :D
Gimme more paranormal Pokemon, NAO!
>>6884I feel my /x/phile side beginning to emerge again. And it is very happy with that picture.
>>6884>>Sableye looks like the Hopkinsville GoblinsHOW THE FUCK DID I NOT NOTICE THIS?
>>6884>>Mothman Pokemon>>Flatwoods Monster Pokemon
>>6884Agreed. Where the fuck are my greys? And my Jersey Devil? And my Chupacabra?
We have Eels don't we?It seems odd that they wouldn't have gone with an electric Eel, it could prove interesting if it weren't for that other Water/Electric type, Chinchou I believe it's called.
Erp, on the subject of the paranormal, I'd love to see a psychic type pokemon that would resemble a Grey. The problem is that they'd have to warp the image of a Grey to make it look a bit more animalistic yet still humanoid enough to be based on a Grey, if Gamefreak could pull it off I'd love them forever.
>>6902It's on Bulbapedia. Every Pokémon page has a short section down at the bottom about it's design origins. >Sableye is a stylization of the Hopkinsville Goblin, a creature from an alleged Kentucky "alien encounter" described as having shining eyes, small legs, clawed arms and swaying hips (a movement that Sableye does indeed imitate in the 3-D Pokémon games). The Hopkinsville aliens are most famous in Japan, where they have appeared in other anime and video games.
Mewtwo has some features that match the description of a Grey/Zeta extraterrestrial.
>>6938>>6959http://earthbound.wikia.com/wiki/Gigu>Giygas' form in Mother looks very similar to Mewtwo from the Pokémon series. It is possible that Mewtwo is based on his design. This theory is backed up by the fact that many of the people who worked on Mother also worked on PokémonNinten or Ken was also going to be an optional prefab title for Red.
I wonder...Would a chinchilla-based Pokemon work?
>>7036Yeah! We'll make it an Electric-type! The fans'll love that!
>>7056Are you implying that it would be another Pikachu rip-off?... Now that you've mentioned it, I can see a chinchilla-based Pokemon working as an Ice/Electric type.
>>6884I jizzed in my pants at the idea.
>>6884Flatwoods Monster *Q*
>>6904>ChupacabraSo, dark-psychic? Psychic-poison?
>>7144I don't think every "paranormal" Pokemon needs to be dark, so I'mma go with psychic/fire. Do we have that type combo yet?
>>7151I can understand the psychic part, but I've never heard anything about the Chupacabra that says 'fire'.
>>7152Because unique type combo. And I dunno, maybe Mexico makes me think of fire.
Speaking about occult, this guy totally needs a pokémon themed after him.
>>7155It's a unique type combo, and I can see how defaulting to dark for every cryptid/paranormal creature could be boring; but I think it would be better to stay true to the spirit of the legend. Plus, the Chupacabra is not limited to Mexico or the southwestern U.S. where it's hot and dry, it's also known throughout Central/South America where the environment is often rainforest/jungle.I could see psychic/fire for a Jersey Devil or a Spring-Heeled Jack type Pokemon, though.>>7144I like these. Both are combos that haven't been done yet, and each seem to fit with the flavor of the legends. However the psychic/poison combo would be susceptible to dark, and that somehow seems off for a vampiric, goat-slaying monster. Maybe have resistance/immunity to dark as an ability for it (and any non-dark type paranormal Pokemon that would be weak to dark)?
>>7157YES.
these burds
>>7164That would be adorable and I want it.There's already a hell-hound, thanks to Houndour/Houndoom, but I'd like to see something more akin the black dogs of European folklore. A hound Pokemon with the ghost type.
>>7168Maybe a Fighting/Ghost werewolf. That'd be cool.
>>7169>Fighting/Ghost werewolfYes! WANT!
>>7168 Speaking of Houndoom, he needs a three-headed Cerberus evolution.
>>7176There we go. Now we have evolutions for Mightyena and Houndoom.
I wish they'd nerf Hail a bit. Steel, Rock, and Ground resist Sandstorm, but only Ice resists hail? Why not Ice and Steel, or if you don't want to make Steel too powerful, Ice and Water, or Ice and Fire? Something I've been thinking of since they came up with the weather effects was "swift wind", basically a weather effect to benefit flying types. It could make moves like Fly, Razor Wind, and Sky Attack, which have been around since First Gen, actually be of some damn use. Sky Attack and Razor Wind would work like Solarbeam with the sun out: no charge up, do their second turn effect in the first turn. Fly, however, would work like this: If the pokemon using it is the faster of the two, it flies up on that turn, then hits the opponent after their turn, but without counting as their next move. So, unless the opponent has a move that can hit a flying pokemon, they're fucked. To prevent it from being totally OP, Gust would do even more damage to a flying opponent when it's windy, and Whirlwind would not only hit flying pokes and force them out when it's windy, but do the same damage as a single layer of spikes to them. Give some flying types an ability that boosts their speed when it's windy, maybe a legendary or pseudo-legendary who can summon a permanent wind condition (a la Groudon's "Drought", etc.)Other potential weather conditions:-Acid rain-DarknessAnd Castform, of course, would benefit from all that, being able to add three more types to it's roster.
>>7241 Hey, Fly was stupidly overpowered first gen.
>>7241>DarknessIn Gale of Darkness, there WAS the Shadow Sky move, which...made everything all purple haze-y for a few turns, and caused damage to all non-Shadow Pokemon.
>>7241On the rarest of occasions, acid rain does occur in gen vi, and it's basically every weather effect happening at once. I thought my game was glitching when it first happened.
>>7248But that's just a fan name.
>>7246I was thinking they could just have it boost the evasiveness of dark types or something.
ooh, I had an ideaGround/Ghost. Think dangling chains and a shovel.
You know, there are the moves Gravity, Trick Room, and Tailwind. Not really 'weather', but they affect the field in a similar way.Except there's no way to extend their effects yet, and no Pokemon that cause them automatically upon switching in.
>>7241...Wait a minute...I made that macro!
>>7318I like this idea. Kinda reminds me of a Knocker/Tommyknocker.
crystal onix
Fire/ghost Will-oh-wisp.
I want an Electric/Fighting pokemon based on Raijin.
>>9404To this day I say Electivire should have been Electric/Fighting.
