Secondly, I agree wholeheartedly with Hancock teacher, and the point of this as a shipping thread. I'll mention that my favorite one-on-one pairing will always be Robin and Franky, but I'm not only okay with mix and matching the Strawhat pairings, I fully endorse it.

I can see where the LuffyxNami, LuffyxRobin, even the LuffyxZoro people are coming from, but the most realistic pairing in this romanceless One Piece universe is Luffy and Boa.

She's clearly shown more feelings and dedication to Luffy than anyone else. I mean, nothing says "I really love you" like helping the break-in to the world's most infamous and dangerous prison.

Zoro/Luffy/Nami works pretty well, in my opinion. Luffy and Zoro have this great dynamic, but neither of them could ever initiate anything. Nami, on the other hand, is much more proactive about this sort of thing. She has her reasons to want Luffy, and given her acquisitive personality she probably wouldn't mind Zoro as a muscular bonus. Luffy would just be happy to be special friends with his special friends; the boy is virtually drama-proof when it comes to these things.

If you want to be nerdy about it, Zoro and Luffy have chemistry and Nami is an enzyme.

Y'know, honestly, outside of Frank/Robin, I rarely ever think of romance between the Strawhats in terms of anything involving relationships. They're a bunch of teenagers on a fucking boat. All the time. So any romance would just be a case of "Hey, I'm horny, your horny, we're not doing anything better at the moment, let's fuck." I mean, you'd have to do some explaining of how things work to Luffy, but I think he'd get the basic idea rather quickly. The only ones I don't see getting their freak-on are Chopper and Brook, because Chopper would just be wrong and Brook doesn't have genitals (I think...). Usopp might be holding out for Kaya, though I could see Nami luring him in by teasing that even if Kaya put out, he'd have no idea what to do.

Incidentally, your statement also summarizes what I think Luffy's approach to sex would be like. He'd be like, "This is a fun thing to do with [sexual partner(s)], and it makes [sexual partner(s)] happy, so I enjoy it!"
