I can't be the only one excited for the final book / movie coming out in August, right?
I'm looking forward to it, especially the final book. Can't wait to see how Scott's journey ends.
I'm probably gonna go back and read the first five volumes in the next few weeks leading up to the final volume, because I'm pretty fucking excited to see this end.
Kim better have a happy ending or i'll be so pissed.
I'm more excited for the final book than the movie. The first trailer had me pumped, but then I saw the extended one before Get Him to the Greek. I don't know if it was Michael Cera's acting (I typically like him) or the translation of the quirkiness of the books onto the big screen, that made me hesitant about how the movie will turn out.
>>63447Personally I found it was a really good translation from what I saw in the theatrical trailer. Also the idea of Micheal Cera as Scott is growing on me.
>>63451Yeah! When first hearing about Cera playing Scott...GOD NO. But now... maybe things will be ay oh kay
>>63457I think that was everyone's first impression.
If it wasn't Edgar Wright I'd assume it would suck. But Edgar Wright. As for the book, its been too long and I lost interest after the fourth volume.
This thing reads like an indie movie. I don't hate it yet.
Wait, wait, Isn't the book coming out in July? I pre-ordered it from Amazon, and it said it would ship mid-July.
>>63780Yeah, but the movie only follows the plot of first half of the books, then it goes off and does it's own thing. At least that's the story as I've heard it.
I just read all of what was available so far. I'm not big on the style because half of the characters look like the same person, but I like it because it's like No More Heroes: Toronto Edition.Part of me hopes that they location drop in the movie as much as they do in the books because Sneaky Dees is my homebar, but at the same time I hope they don't. Because Sneaky Dees is my homebar.
>>63793I'm pretty sure they've finished all the filming and whatnot considering it's coming out in two months.
>>63800Well obviously, but that has nothing t do with what I'm talking about. I just think if they show the bar in a big summer movie, it'll be even harder to find a table there for the rest of the season.
>>63793>No More Heroes Toronto Editionoh my godEverything makes sense now. Also it comes out late in the season, so it should be fine.I want to go to a midnight showing but I will probably A) be in Ottawa where I have no bros who are willing to go late night or B) Be in Toronto and celebrating super important family holiday. Also The Expendables comes out the same day so OH GOD DON'T MAKE ME CHOOSE
>>63836FUCK WHAT?WHATTTTT?Well fuck that Expendables takes priority over everything forever.
>>63836OH FUCK.Yeah, will probably see Expendables first...and maybe only the Expendables as I rarely ever go to theaters nowadays...
>>63837>>63842Derp.
>>63846I knew when Expendable was coming out, I jut didn't know when Scott Pilgrim was out other than "August"
>>63831Ah, well I guess what I meant was "well it's done filming, so if they haven't already then the bar probably isn't appearing" but whatever.>>63846Eh, I'd still probably see SP first or probably just see the two in the same day. More excited for SP though.
I'm way more excited for Scott Pilgrim than Expendables, mainly because I have this sinking feeling that Expendables is going to suck hard and won't be 1/16 as awesome as we all hope/imagine it can be, and SP has Edgar Wright, which is pretty much a straight-up guarantee.
Considering the Expendables spent half their budget on star power, probably. One thing I hate is when you have too many actors trying to act over each other.
http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3180026Also....maaaan, I forgot Edgar Wright was doing this...
>>64403KICK ASSMIYAMOTO APPROVES
Clearly, the solution to the Expendables and/or Scott Pilgrim problem is simple: see one, wait around in theater with ticket stub, sneak into the other. Worked for Iron Man and Speed Racer. And TMNT and Grindhouse! Also: seriously you guys have no idea how fucking stoked i am for this movie i am about to go blind with WANT WANT WANT and it's not even fucking JULY yet. Ever trailer thus far had me giggling like an asshole. I NEED this movie.
>>64403>Director Edgar Wright has managed to secure permission to include music from The Legend of Zelda in the upcoming film adaptation of Scott Pilgrim, but only after showing the film to Shigeru Miyamoto himself.
>>64560But I want to throw money at both of them!I guess I'll just be going to two movies that weekend.
Probably going to see at least one opening night. Which one depends on who I go with.
http://www.scottpilgrimthemovie.com/avatarCreator/Avatar creator deal. (No, I couldn't change the rating)
I just finished book 1, about halfway done book 2.This shit.Is amazing.
Haven't read the series and never heard of it until I saw the trailer for the game, but I read the books are merely just a bunch of anime and game references to appease to nerds. Is it actually something more than that or is that about the sum of it?
>>64860It's a good series that happens to have a lot of little references.>>64785WHY CAN'T I STOP PLAYING WITH THIS THING
>>64860If you intend to ever read it, don't spoil it by researching it or asking around. It's best to read Volume 1 with no idea what you're in for. I hope they can preserve that when they make the movie.
>>64879read vol. 1 all the way through too.
>>64860I don't remember any anime references--but then, they'd have to be very broad and commonplace for me to catch them. I do remember the video game references. They aren't the usual side jokes and tidbits, tossed out to prove that the author grew up in the same culture as you--"Wow, college registration is like playing Berserk, ha-ha". They are oddly incorporated into the plot, and I think a reader would still get the point, even if they'd never seen a video game in their lives.
Just started reading it. I'm liking it a lot so far, and the Monkey Island reference in volume 2 made me smile.
How come I never heard of any of this before today?I've seen the game and the flash last week but I have no idea there was more!
I just came really hard to Knives and Kim making out. I'm a girl.Just thought yall should know.
Bump for vol. 6 in two days
>>75079Oh god. I had forgotten. Thank you for the reminder!
>>75079oh no i'll be in non-comic-access areasoh no
Its already out in Canada.

>>75102Cool. I'd be all kinds of FFFFFFF, except I'm probably going to the midnight release party at my LCS tomorrow night.
Going to the midnight release tomorrow with my bros. I'll be dressed as Stephen Stills, we'll have a Wallace, Scott, Romona, and maybe a Lucas Lee with us.
SOMEONE GET THIS SHIT ON THE INTERNET YA
>>75191Awesome>>65814Double awesome.
>No midnight premieres anywhere in Houston or even a good 150 miles of Houston.Goddamn, this city sucks.
>>64578My head axplod.
You guys will bump this thread when scans are out, right? Being that going onto 4chan for scans is asking for trouble.
Hey! Wallace kills Scott!
>>75512Hey! Rosebud is the sled
>>75513Hey! Verbal is Keyser Soze.
I asked the girl at the local bookstore if Scott Pilgrim 6 would be out tommorrow. She said they weren't scheduled to get it until the 30th... of August.
Read it twice fucking loved it.Now time to sleep
>>75530Go to a comic store then, you betrayer
>>75598I live in the middle of buttfuck nowhere in the midwest. The last comic book store we had here closed a year ago, and even then it had nothing newer than 2 year old Spiderman comics.
>>75607then use an online comic store
Read it last night after I got home; OH SHIT, YEAH! Goddamn was that awesome. Gonna read it again today before I review it.
I made sure I didn't go to any /co/ board until I read it, I got a bad copy at the midnight premiere and had to go back a few hours ago. I just read and it was awesome. When Scott was killed it was a real "HOLY DICKS!" moment for me. In fact, I briefly considered writing "HOLY DICKS!" in the two blank pages between him being stabbed and him going to what ever weird purgatory with ramona.
Scan link?
>>75833I'll give it to you, but I want you to know that your mother and I are very disappointed in you for being too cheap to buy it.http://rs375.rapidshare.com/files/408041590/Scott_Pilgrim_06_-_Scott_Pilgrim_s_Finest_Hour__2010___c2c___Minutemen-DTs_.cbz
>>75844I'm sorry ma and popLove youuuuuu
NOW ALL I NEED IS THE VIDEO GAME AND THE MOVIE.
So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past.
I loved it :'D
It was ok. A bit silly though.
Well, that about ties it up. Cliche ending, but goddamnit, I paid for that cliche and I love it just the way it is. Although I was disappointed not to see that weird-ass tentacle monster fucker from the Movie trailer, so I don't know what the hell THAT'S about.
I really enjoyed the book. As >>75944 said, the ending was a bit cliche but I still loved it. Also, Scott and Kim start a band again, but without StephenAnd I grinned a bit when I saw that Ramona had a shirt that says hipster..
I'm not entirely sure if there was deeper meaning to the story or not. That's not necessarily a bad thing I suppose. The ending was a bit too symbolic, though. I get what the writer was trying to convey, but it didn't really feel like it belonged with the rest of the story.
I enjoyed it.
You don't even realize how happy I am right now. This is actually a POSITIVE discussion on Scott Pilgrim, where nobody uses the phrase "hipster garbage". I got so pissed at that. Anyways, I could talk forever about my excitement for the movie/game, and how much I loved Volume 6, but I'll just say that Stephen Stills coming out of the closet made me fucking jizz
>>76205>This is actually a POSITIVE discussion on Scott Pilgrim, where nobody uses the phrase "hipster garbage". I got so pissed at that. Yeah, try to avoid 4chan's /co/ if you ever want to have rational discussion over... well, anything...
Okay...so for whatever reason, the download didn't work for me. IT WAS A SIGN. So I went and bought the book like a good person. I'm not saying I'm above anyone thought because I still tried to download that shit first. hahahahaI enjoyed the end. I just wish there was more Kim but it's probably just because she was my favorite character.I'm so pumped for the movie though. UGHHHand this last book made me like Knives so I'm happy
http://piggyliciouspigpen.blogspot.com/2010/07/scott-pilgrims-finest-hour-reviewening.html WHORING TIME: I put this up last night. And it's SPOILER FREE!I loved the shit out of this book>>76233Yeah, I love Kim, but I feel like she got all her great moments out of the way in volume 5, and this one really was supposed to finally resolve Scott's shit. Which I think it did well. It sorta felt rushed on the first read through (I think it's because I was so excited that I just blaster through it), but I flipped through certain parts a second time and it seemed to flow better.
>>76252I think that was a great review. And I agree with what you said about Kim resolving her story in Volume 5. There wasn't much left for her, say, relationship-wise. Except for Scott in Volume 6 for a bit.I used to really dislike Knives but now I love her. When she's not an obsessed psycho, she's actually just a sweet girl. And Envy isn't a complete bitch anymore!Spoiler'd for your safety~~~

http://io9.com/5594440/it-was-awesome-first-impressions-of-the-scott-pilgrim-vs-the-world"Not enough Kim Pine. I understand that all those backstories and subplots couldn't possibly make it into the movie, but couldn't Wright have found a way to better highlight Scott's friend Kim Pine? Sure, she gets some awesome one-liners, but she never looms particularly large in Scott Pilgrim's precious movie life. If there's anything that will leave fans feeling cold, it's the lack of Kim."Well, poop.
>>76387Thanks for posting that, it was an interesting read. I can't help but be curious about this part: "And the appearance of a certain character at the very end of the movie struck me as a well-intentioned attempt to include a significant idea from the book that ultimately left the final scenes slightly overstuffed." I heard a rumor that there's going to be no indication of Stephen Stills's sexuality at the end. But since that was quite a shock at the end of Volume 6, I wonder if that's what the article meant...
Just read it, thought it was kinda cool how the whole "Scott-lives-in-a-videogame" thing was really just his ADD... and later it was just Gideon.Could have tied things up better, definately. But it's a satisfying ending. So, yeah. Good times.

>>77361Eh, only took 4 hours. I don't regret reading it, especially with the movie coming.
You know, people tended to think that all the vegan stuff in the books was because O'Malley is vegan. He's not. The vegan shepherd's pie thing was just sort of an experiment in doing something you can't really do in a TV show or something, the way it's cut between the story that's going on, like stills is in the background saying all this stuff for no reason. And the reason being vegan gave Todd Ingram superpowers is making fun of vegans who act like they're so much better than you because they're vegans, and you can't just be vegan because it's so hard. He basically thought it would be funny is that smug self-satisfaction came with actual superpowers.
>>77415And you know this how...?
>>77430Because......>>77415 is actually Scott Pilgrim.
Scott Pilgrim is FLCL, post-college.-Mysterious girl with unnatural hair color that transports things through subspace inside peoples' minds-Rickenbacker bass guitar used like a weapon-Mundane emotions and events turned into over-the-top spectacles-Focus on leaving one's youth behind and becoming an adult
Just came back from a private screener thing...It was awesome. Amazing. This will not disappoint any fans of the books.
>>77865How was the ending?
>>77865Good to hear.
>>77870It basically ended the same way, I was surprised. It was really fucking funny. The battles felt a lot more organized, and Gideon is a lot more central. It was an excellent adaptation.
Scott Pilgrim vs. the Animation
Went to the midnight premier in my town.Loved it. I brought along friends who didn't read any of the books and they really enjoyed it. Also:I've never loved Young Neil as much as I do now. He's sadly adorable through out the whole movie.Kim Pine was a disappointment for me though. Poop. That is all.
http://video.adultswim.com/promos/scott-pilgrim-vs-the-animation.htmlNot bad.
Saw it tonight and I fucking loved it. It's a perfect mix of faithful adaptation and it's own beast that I don't think any other theatrical comic book adaptation has done before. Easily my favorite movie of the summer.

>>83455The joke is Scott is a loser. Keep up.
>>83464That really is a joke of the series, Scott is a fucking loser, slacker who mooches off of his friends and used to be a complete asshole. That's why nega-scott exists.
I went to the midnight premiere, everbody groaned then laughed wildly when M Night's name came up during the previews. I'm also going out with a knives cosplayer now.
>>83468The exact same thing happened at the Expendables and to at least two other people I talked to who went to see Scott Pilgrim at different theatres in different countries.
>>83488Wow, there are an awful lot of Knives cosplayers out there, huh.
I just realized who Movie!Wallace reminds me of.Jack Harkness, pre-Torchwood. Not just the demeanor, like the look and everything.
>>83494Movie Wallace reminds me of the men in my naughty dreams.

It may pick up I guess and maybe do better on the international flip but..they really should have seeded this for the public better beforehand.
>>83496>BRIANMBENDIS: Just like private parts, Scott pilgrim had an insane amount of sneak previews. fans saw it 4 free numerous times before today. Bad move.
>>83499I mean, I saw it with fucking BLOM and some friends from the ning. It was a mistake, I didn't go pay for it.
>>83499And everyone outside the fanbase saw this as just another quirky comedy with this guy
>>83501Because of this film that one "What that movie where Michael cera plays an awkward teenager?" joke is invalid.
>>83500The film and the crowd were great, the idea for pre shows was terrible.
>>83502That would require people to see this movie, and Cera is already waaaay too typecast for them to bother.
>>83501I just can't look at Michael Cera without wanting to punch him in the face.
>>83518>>83520This and not communicating what the whole Scott Pilgrim thing is to the general population are what has led to the situation that the film is now in.
I almost got to see this today... but the sister wanted to see Eat Pray Love, and what the hell this is the last time I'll see her for years. glad to see you guys all liked it.
God, this movie is fantastic.Micheal Cena was actually surprisingly great as Scott. And Wallace stole just about every scene, as was expected.Too bad it's just not pulling in audiences. :c
I've read the first three volumes. It's okay. It doesn't really grip me but it's not bad.Not sure if I want to see the movie or not.
>>83619The third volume is where it gets good, and gets better in four. If you don't like it by three then just stop reading. Thanks for giving it a try.
Just got back from seeing it. It kicked ass. Also made me think that Edgar Wright should direct a Phoenix Wright movie.
Second favorite movie of all time, without a doubt. I say second because nothing will ever beat Back to the Future Part II.Dat alternate ending. I don't know which one I like more!
Never read the comics but I saw this with my little brother because of Edgar Wright. I was blown away. What a fantastic cast, even Cera managed to delight. I dug all the little quirky visual bits too, like the words crumbling onto the the floor and the pieces getting kicked around during the first fight.
>>83687I think I liked the comic's ending a little more. Namely for Ramona's role in it and the extra Gideon dickery. Not that the film's ending wasn't its own brand of awesome, though.
>>83374 Hey, I'm liking this! Well animated for flash, and it feels like the comic and >Wavves' "Post-Acid" pops upOHMYGODORGASMIDONTCAREIFISOUNDLIKEAHIPSTERIFUCKINGCAME.
Saw it Friday night with a friend who was completely oblivious to Scott Pilgrim. An amazing movie; I loved the stylized fights and comedy. If Michael Sera can get over his "awkward teenager" hole he's been shoved into, he has the potential to be a real action star. Action comedies, maybe, but he can do it.
>>83754That was the one thing that worried me about the film. Comic!Scott is a total spaz all day erryday. I was afraid that Cera wouldn't be able to emulate that, but son of a bitch, he did it perfectly.
>>83560This movie's got cult classic written all over it. I wouldn't worry too much if it's not exactly a blockbuster at the box office. Boxbuster.
>>83768A regular customer was in yesterday and I was telling him to go see it and, sure enough, Cera was his number one reason for not going. When I told him that Cera had quick-paced comedic timing and actually pulled off 'pissed off' in the final fight, he changed his mind almost instantly. I think Cera is this film's biggest anti-draw, but hopefully WoM will spread that he actually pulls great character and really does a great job.
http://www.cinemablend.com/new/Box-Office-Bob-omb-5-Reasons-Scott-Pilgrim-Vs-The-World-Failed-To-Find-An-Audience-20168.html>In a musical characters break into song and dance whenever there's something too big to be expressed by words. In a musical you learn about each character's personality through what he sings. Sometimes the songs even move the plot along or help change someone's perspective. Scott Pilgrim uses its fights in the same way. >Scott Pilgrim fights whenever there's something too big to express with dialogue, something too important to simply say. It's through these elaborate, colorful, fights that Scott's personality changes and grows. It's because of his fights that he eventually realizes he lacks self-respect, and when he gets some, that's part of a fight too. Except musicals aren't for everyone and even the best musicals always have their detractors. This right here is why I hate the comic a lot. Scott will fight, and then magically "get it", then probably lose it in the aftermath. There isn't any inner dialogue, captions or CHANGE that happens; Scott will absorb something video-game related and magically not be as big of a douche (but will make up for it in other ways).
I hate hate hate Scott Pilgrim a lot, so hearing that movie is bombing is very satisfying for me!
Setting aside questions of whether or not a person likes the story or characters in Scott Pilgrim, I would watch fucking Michael Bay movies if they looked like this movie did. Edgar Wright knocked this one out of the park, and if this movie fails financially chances are we're never going to see something like it again.
It'll pick up after the international release. North americans would rather watch a shit-tier action movie that should have been epic.
>>83950May I ask why?
It's too bad that the film isn't doing so hot. I REALLY enjoyed myself watching it, and it seems like some perfect cult classic material at least. Here's to hoping?
>>83960I don't know, it might be one of those slow-burners that claim a paltry opening weekend and then keeps on truckin' week after week thanks to word of mouth. It's got 81% on rotten tomatoes, so it's not like Speed Racer where only we like it for what it is.I mean, I don't even know all that much about Scott Pilgrim, but I think it looks quirky and fun....don't people like quirky and fun?
>>83960God, I sound like such an eastaboo. That wasn't supposed to be a dick slap to North America, just a comment.
>>83961Boring, shitty, filled with annoying characters. That combined with people never shutting up about how great it is results in ALL MY HATE
>>83966Except it's likely better than any of the shit you like. It has fun characters, and a good story. It shows scott going from a total mooching, good for nothing user asshole, to a good guy. All sorts of good shit.

>>83969That's literally the worst way to put it ever and leads me to believe you never even picked one up. I would have accepted hipster shit over that actually.

>>84420Take it back.
So I reread all the books over the weekend and I gotta say that I definitely think that's my preferred version, though the movie is still so damn good. Hell, it did what the books did with less time to cover the entire story and it even managed to do some parts better (Negascott in particular stands out), so I'd say they're actually equal overall. Gotta get some other butts to go with me to see it a second time.

Twilight for boys is something like Underworld.Of course the difference is not many blokes think they are some sort of masterpiece and accept that it's shitty popcorn entertainment.
>>84862>Ramona Flowers has seven evil exes. Are you a bad enough dude to beat them all?>>84853>Twilight for boysWell, it kind of IS. I'd make an argument for it being written better, but I've only been able to read 4 pages of Twilight before I gave up and rage-quit. I can say that SP made for a superior movie.
Okay, someone is going to have to explain to me: HOW is Scott Pilgrim like Twilight aside from "Dude fights for his girlfriend"
>>84940I guess people are playing off the obsession angle
>>84940Dude, it's just a troll. It's what people who don't like Scott Pilgrim say because "Hipster Bullshit" lost its punch.Anything popular now is just twilight something.
>>84940Anything with romance and/or vampires will be compared to Twilight today, I think.
>>84916It really isn't though. It isn't misogynistic, iit doesn't have a shirtless man in every scene. Plus Scott Pilgrim is a unisex fit.
Fresh from the ning.
I saw the movie tonight.Movie>>>>>>>>>ComicsFun. As. Hell. God, I wish people exploded into coins when you punched them. So satisfying.
Whatever people did the fight work for this needs to do that for whatever next Video Fighting Game. In short THIS IS HOW YOU DO STREET FIGHTER!!!!
So...wait...no happy ending for Kim...at all?
>>85818She comes off as similar a good friend of mine. Which is to say: she's permanently grumpy and realized not too long ago that she's asexual.
>>85818I hear she hooks up with Knives in the vidya.
WILL NOTHING EVER SATISFY MY LUST FOR A SP/KIM PINE ENDING?
>>85908The series is over.So no.Except porn there's probably a lot of that.
>>85908See if you can commission a fan comic or something where it happens. With porn in it or whatever.
>>85971But who to commission?
>>86042I got a guy.I actually do, an official guy who worked on it.
yeah, right a commissionI'm part of sp's target audience: poor hipster college kids with no moneyi guess fanfiction.com will have to do
>>86376Dude, I said I got guy. I won't even have to pay him, he does this kind of thing for fun.
>>86367>>86384I suppose it would be a bit much to get a name, eh?
>>86385Yes actually, it would. He did the scott porn on /pco/, if that's good enough for you.
Saw the movie yesterday. Shit was awesome.MIGHT look up the comics.
I've read, watched, and even played everything there is, and I still don't really know what to make of it.
>>84969I could care less whether it is or isn't to begin with. I like it, I think it's good, that's good enough for me.>>86503Obviously you just need to go see it again and again until you get sick of it and decide you hate it.Got the album on iTunes, it's pretty fucking awesome. I liked that they even included the song O'Malley got the name from, too, though I think that might still be up on +4radio.
>>86465As a huge scott pilgrim fan, I'm telling you to pirate the first 2 volumes, then if you likem buy them. But if you don't enjoy them, stop right there because you'll never enjoy it.
>>86527...why is Kim Jong Il suddenly Stroheim?
>>86593Because it's Kim Jong O'Malley. Glorious leader of the ning.
>>86527I don't have to pirate it, my local library has the whole series.
>>86607Oh cool.
Saw the movie. Hm...short answer: I liked it. Long answer...I don't think it was a good idea to make it only one movie. Or for Michael Cera to exist. One of the two.
Bought the gameits awesome.
I'd buy the game just for Paul Robertson's animation.
>>87086That's why I bought it actually. And the animation is beautiful
>>87086I love streets of rage and the like, wish they made it for PC since this is one of the few Ubisoft titles I'd buy outside of the insanely good pile of indie stuff I usually pick up.
Saw the movie yesterday, I'd totally fuck Knives.
I just finished the game.SCOTT PILGRIM IS OVER NOW WHAT?!
>>87688You have entered a dark realm now. With all canon material out of the way, your only hope to feed the addiction is with...FANWORK.
>>87696
>>87688FFFFffffdat soundtrack is so dericious
>>87696 Oh god I need a fix, please say you can hook me up, forums, good fanart, articles, whatever!
>>need a fixlook up 'SCOTT PILGRIM REMIX' on youtubeThose are pretty good.
I'm liking this -Ramona's 8th evil Ex- contest on DA....Especially the one with the horse
>>89486>filename
>>89568 There's certainly a King's Assload of them kickin about.
And this is only a fraction of the total.

>>89739 He's a Horse, BunkerWhy do you expect effective money-advice from him?
>>89742Hey those counting horses from back in the olden times were pretty on the mark.
SHOCKING NEWS!
Jesus I can't believe I needed someone to point this out to me...- - -Slighty related anyone have any references they really liked from the series? I seriously LOVED Ramona's take on the 'You fight like a cow' line while fighting Knives.
>>89811Also, I got the Stephen Stills reference early on, but it took me longer to remember why Neil was called "Young Neil"
>>89811>Slighty related anyone have any references they really liked from the series?NINJAGAIDENMOTHERFUCKER!
totally canon
I don't quite understand why the movie seemed to be pushing knives and scott together so much while still ending with scott and ramona together, it was written at the same time as the final book was being written or something so did they think the series was gona end with knives and scott together? That would have been horrible for everyone (that includes you). The ending to the books was just so much better.
>>89914They were pushing for Knives and Scott to be together? ...when?
Meanwhile...in Japan.
>>89924Think s/he's referring to how the film ending had Scott and Knives working together to defeat Gideon, giving the impression that since they worked so well together that they might end up back together.
>>89934Well that's dumb.
Are we talking about the thing with the alternate ending that's gonna be on the DVD?
>>90069Wait a second... What the fuck is a USPS label doing on an Amazon.ca package?
>>90319Whoever ordered that must've used Super Super Saver Shipping. Its delivery is outsourced to the United States.
>>89811This page might not be quite what you would call a reference but I found it funny.
>>89960 Not so dumb.Originally the movie adaption was gonna end with Knives and Scott hooking up, you can kind of see a build up to that in the rest of the film.
>>90366I love everything about that page.
>>90419Especially the little "Do not attempt to learn anything from this page" bit hidden in the bottom there.
Internet?I'm Gay,Gay for Wallace.
>>90700Everyone is gay for Wallace, even Wallace.
>>90706Especially Wallace.
tee hee
>>90700Being gay for Wallace isn't gay.Being gay for Wallace is just human.
>>90726something about "simpsonised" art makes me want to perform vomit kung fu
>>90760You annoy me, so here's a special present.
And for everyone else.
So has any drawfriend ever done up scott dressed like travis?
>>scott dressed like travisYou really think someone would have drawn that by now. Or at least some picture featuring both series.
>>90953 >>one of the characters going bad girlI don't think these are two fandoms you want to mix.
>>91012I now certainly wanna see Kim as Bad Girl.
>>90953Someone drawfagged Scott vs. Travis once. Don't have the picture on me, tho'.
>>90774
>>91048am I a bad person because I know what the original image is?
>>91053Is it a Gunsmoke pic? I bet it's a Gunsmoke pic. Guys, I miss Gunsmoke.
>>91053Nope, just means you fap to avatar porn
>>91129Y'know, I'm surprised that no one's ever commented on how DAMN ADORABLE the game is.
>>91159 I thought it while looking at these pics but didn't post itI just assumed it goes without saying that this game is cuteness personifiedEven(/especially?) when you use Kim's Knives-Assist move.
I love the SP game! one hell of a retrogasm.I've completed the hell out of it barring a few achievements and am basically waiting for the DLC character, no surprise who thats going to be.
>>91182IS it DLC? I just assumed it was some hot secret code that no one knows shit about.
>>91189 Heard it referred to as both, either way I'm waiting for it.
>>91189I bet you have to get that finish a level without taking a hit achievement to get the secret character w/o dlc.Cause seriously, fuck that noise.
>>91223You don't have to beat the level just reach the boss without getting hit and there is a glitch that lets you skip most of the first level. Check Gamefaqs.
>>91224I heard it was beat the game with no items.
>>91231 Someones been feeding you a line of BS.
>>91223>>91224What I did to earn the "INVINCIBLE" achievement was use the "Power of Love" code to get the sword item, start the Leo's Place level, return to map, and got to "The Main Stage" on the map, beat the two girls without getting hit and then just get to the boss fight. It took me a couple of tries but it worked like gangbusters.
>>91182What the dick?!
>>91264 what part of that post/image has shocked you so?
>>91265I don't remember being able to play as Knives or Nega Scott...Just read some of the comments under it though, DLC I guess.Cool.
>>91266 No, you unlock Negascott by completing the game with the starting 4 characters.
>>91269Oh.Didn't know that.Thanks.
>>91182I don't remember Envy and Lynette's portrait being shown in the game, like, never.
>>91331 Boss Rush?
To clarify, they're releasing DLC code for Knive's with the DVD.And there's a Scott Pilgrim game thread on /cog/.JEEZ GUYS
>>92453 Get over yourself, there's nothing wrong about a general SP thread happening to wander into discussing the game a little.
>>92454Whatever, I just always assumed that there was a reason for having other boards, you know?
>>92455 You'd have a point if this thread was started to discuss the game, but it wasn't, a fraction of the posts started talking about it sparked off by some cute images being posted as part of an image dump.Don't be so anal, dude.
>>92457You know, to be fair, it wasn't even a big deal. I saw people talking about the game and informed them that there was a thread on /cog/. I wasn't uppity about it. I assumed the "JEEZ GUYS" would be taken sarcastically. I forget that plus4 takes things too seriously.
>>92459you forgot that trying to get a tone through text only is kinda hard without, y'know, hearing your voice or having some sort of facial expression. Ya doofus.
>>92461Yeah, but how many people do you know use that and really mean it? I just can't imagine it. Though I guess I could see someone like Sneaky Tiki doing it.
>>92461When you say "Ya doofus" please tell me you are being ironic, right?>>92463And I always do!
>>92467Uh...sure?D...dork face?Wait, what?
>>89709pffft what the hell is she doing?
>>93183>Fem!WallaceI was not prepared.
>>93183Femwallace is nowhere near as hot as regular Wallace....Oh God.
Was Wallace the gay one?
>>94999If you were attracted to him, it was Wallace.
