I marathoned RBGY about 8 months back, and then got GSC about 3 months ago. I keep getting sidetracked by other things, but I enjoy it when I pick it up. Gold seems like the worst character in the series at the point where I'm at though. If the OP pic is an indication, he gets better.

I still need to finish reading G/S/C, but I doubt they'll be as good as Yellow. Yellow made me actually care about Raticate.

What happened to their outfits being different in the manga compared to the official art, anyway? It's true that the official art itself has gotten more consistent (and the in-game art better), but Diamond, Pearl and Platina are carbon copies of Lucas, Barry and Dawn, and that's a bit... well, compared to Red, who got that weird hairdo, and Gold, who got those nifty goggles, a bit underwhelming.

I'm enjoying the DPPt chapter though. It made me care more for Barry/Pearl than I thought I ever would. Dia's pretty neat, too.

Well I'm done with GSC, though it turns out that volume 15, which was included in the GSC download, also has the start of RSE. Anyway:

-FUCK YEAR DAT WHOLE FINAL BATTLE
-Gold did in fact grow on me, though he annoyed me at first. His naming sense is still shit though.
-That whole "herp Breeder power" thing was a complete asspull but I guess it works.
-I for one am excited at the creation of the new Elite 4, though I doubt they'll be doing much now that we're moving on to Hoen (same with Lance)... and in fact I'm not sure what exactly the old Elite 4 did prior to their rebellion in the Special universe.
-Pryce worked pretty well as an antagonist I think, though his backstory felt kind of cheap and tacked on... I guess I was okay with the way he went out though.

Yep. FR/LG featured the original cast again, and it fed into the Emerald arc. HG/SS has the guys from GS dealing with the once again reemerging Team Rocket, still looking for their boss. Who died at the end of FR/LG. I'm hoping it's just a front for something new. Maybe related to the Arceus event.
