My god, there's no title, but this cover arc should be called "Things we all want to be canon"
Wait... What was that about the wind?
I'm guessing this is before Dragon got his fruit. This makes that "Each fruit is meant to fulfill a human desire." statement Oda made seem kinda morbid.
>>7878>>7879 as I was going to say with my next post involving that image, it seems like Dragon just has the wind of destiny at his back at all times.
I think this is a cover arc of what people are doing in their time after the war, but I guess not since there's no captions or anything
Enjoyed this chapter. Kinda glad to see how the celestial dragons are relevant[/spoilers]. Also, [spoiler]fuck yeah, Dragon! He didn't do much, but it's nice to see him actually in the story.
>>7879Wait just a minute. Does this mean Dragon was a noble? Does this mean Luffy might also have some claim to nobility? And does this mean that Garp still IS a noble? Holy SHIT Oda, way to spring a lot on us at once.
OK, I'm just gonna bring this up now: Why in the world would taking the trash that is surrounding your town and setting it on fire an effective way to quickly clean it up? Wouldn't the just make a bunch of ash which well get blown around and spread over the entire kingdom?
>>7896that's what happened with Eyjafjallajoekull
>>7894And if so is this in any way related to the will of D/sovereign haki?
>>7896well, it WAS pretty windy that day, so i'm guessing they were just hoping it would blow away. Or they could pass it off as clouds.or maybe they had a clean-up crew prepared to dump it in the woods or something.
"Will they survive?!"No, they all die.
>>7896 I think you may not have noticed but the world nobles are kind of a bunch of assholes with illogical ways of thinking. And this way...they get rid of the 'human trash' at the same time.
>>7903Well, those aren't actually the world nobles (they're local nobles), though I guess either way they have someone more responsible to clean their shit up when they do something stupid without consequence.I guess they could have gotten rid of the actual trash the regular way, and this is just for getting rid of the people quickly.I just hope this does end up blowing up in their faces (almost literally) instead of the laws of physics for some reason agreeing with their jackassery. Either way, we definitely know Windmill Village made it out alright because we've seen it in the present looking fine.
>>7905I raised it before in the spoiler thread, but I want to call it again:We're going to see Ace get his devil fruit powers.
>>7899>pretty windy that day>Dragonmyface.jpg>>7894no, Dragon says he was "born in this kingdom" which is the entire Island. It doesn't make him a noble>>7906no, because Luffy is surprised at Ace's powers when they meet during Arabasta.
>>7879>>7880To be fair, having a devil fruit doesn't give you the power to bring about the kind of change Dragon wants/stands for, it just gives you power. He's saying he doesn't have enough power, not that he doesn't have any power at all.
>>7876Designated driver, eh Smoker? For the chapter itself, my god the nobility's "Oh yes, we're going to incinerate a bunch of poor people, didn't you know? :) " is creepy as fuck.
>>7907>Luffy is surprised at Ace's powers when they meet during Arabasta. Was he? I can't remember. Someone mind posting the page?
Dunno which pages, but if you watch the episodes where we first meet him, Luffy is clearly suprised by Ace's fire powers.Around the 20:00 minute mark in 94, and 7:00in 95.http://www.onepieceofficial.com/videos.aspx?v=3106http://www.onepieceofficial.com/videos.aspx?v=3108
>>7913"This content is not available in your territory."Can't people pirate their anime like good little fans anymore?
>>7912http://www.mangatoshokan.com/read/One-Piece/0/159/8
>>7915Thank you kind sir. Still, the translation to "he hasn't eaten one before" is kinda vague. I'll take your word for it though.
I can't post it right now because I'm at work, but look at the cover for chapter 546...
>>7920http://www.mangatoshokan.com/read/One-Piece/Null/546Yeah, someone mentioned that in the other thread. Besides the hat, their hair is fairly similar.
>>7892I don't get it.
Hey guys. Ace is dead.Where is his devil fruit?
>>7926Nobody knows. It's never actually been stated what happens with Devil Fruits after somebody dies.
>>7926We know that the fruit won't regrow until whoever has the power dies, but we don't know how long after their death or where the new fruit will grow.
>>7924that's Sogeking pre-sniper king uniform, look at the nose and hair it's the exact same
>>7921That hat may be just dapper enough!
Well, at least we know the King will be an important upcoming plot point. The last two times Oda obscured a character's face so selectively were Vegapunk and Akainu.
>>7939Unless...That speech bubble IS his face.
>>7941Confirmed for best power.
>>7942Perhaps this king is elevated into being one of the 5 old men?
>>7942>implying the power of DON would not be the best metafictional power in One Piece
>>7950You said it, bro.
>>7928We know that the fruit won't regrow until whoever has the power dies, but we don't know how long after their death or where the new fruit will grow.But... Blackbeard???
>>7952Maybe it grows from the grave of the deceased? The body provides the food the seed needs in return for the power the previous fruit's powers.
>>7954I'm still not even sure if it's because they grow because the user died. I'm honestly wondering if there are thousands of devil fruits as opposed to the hundreds Oda implied, but they only grow once every 400 years or something. Even the average giant will only see the same fruit once in a lifetime, but they'll hear firsthand rumors about it if it reappears.
>>7955Yeah, I wonder if he'll ever explain it, or if he'll just leave it to the imagination. (think I'd prefer leaving it to the imagination)
>>7954I figured whatever gives you the power leaves your body when you die to grow into a new fruit somehow, and Blackbeard used his power to pull it directly into his body.>>7955Well, in the SBS Oda clarified a statement made by Usopp to mean "The same powers don't exist twice AT THE SAME TIME." So no fruit can give you the same power someone else currently has.I might not be that your death causes the fruit you had to grow, but unless you could lose the power some way besides dying I don't understand how that could work.We know the same powers/fruits have to reappear sometimes or else Vegapunk couldn't have cataloged them.Although, funnily enough, the "grows everyone once in a long period of time" thing was how Luffy's fruit (which wasn't shown to be one of any kind of fruit) worked in the pilot.
Ha-Hina NOT Tipsy, Hinash fine, now get in dish bar and don't dansh like a ffffaggot thish time.
>>7957Perhaps Vegapunk growsgenetically engineers them in his gardenlaboratory himself
