Welp...
Is dat some world building?
In b4 Sabo is the author of this history book.
The the Tenryubito do not appear in this chapter. Why were they mentioned at the end of the last one, then?
>>7623because they're gonna show up on the next chapter (maybe)
>>7622What history book?
>>7626The history book called "One Piece", now serialized in Shonen Jump.Sabo is the narrator.
>>7626The story of One Piece (Luffy's adventure) and Sabo being the narrator.
>>7622>>7627>implying Sabo is alive
Kid Luffy is such an adorable, hilarious twerp.I wonder what was it that broke their brotherhood bond with Sabo after all.
>>7630Sabo dying.
>>7630But what if the brotherhood bond isn't broken? And what if they reunite and Luffy still considers him a brother?
Sabo has a dream, it will be retarded to kill him off and not achievieng it
kid luffy is moe
I liked this chapter. It had a number of great moments:-Awesome cover page-Worldbuilding -Luffy leaving behind an IOU-Luffy declaring his dream-The ageless Makino-Garp kicking their asses-Treehouse!-Dadan surprisingly worried.I approve.
Sabo for last straw hat
>>7636>But what if the brotherhood bond isn't broken? And what if they reunite and Luffy still considers him a brother?Luffy yelled to Ace back in Marineford: "You're the only brother I have!"
Oh Garp. This is the best reaction image of all time.
>>7633Kuina had a dream too
>>7637That might be awkward. Maybe Sabo really does die. I can't foresee Ace and Luffy forsaking Sabo, especially since he did leave to protect them from the Bluejam pirates.
>>7639>implying Kuina is actually dead
>>7643... that's what happens when you use gender neutrals!
>>7637Right, I forgot that.
Dat shadow
>>7642>implying stairs leave any victim alive
>>7629Ever since Ace and Whitebeard died in a non-flashback I keep expecting Oda to make it look like Sabo is going to tragically die during this flashback, only to have him live at the last second. And then everyone pulls the troll face
>>7637Maybe Sabo's a woman now? This is One Piece we're talking about, after all.
>>7646Why are you pointing out the rim of the third cup and its shadow?
>>7652It was hidden when the flashback was first shown, but obviously there if you look.
>>7653My memory must be terrible, because I for some reason assumed that was a panel from this chapter rather than a previous one. Excuse me.
Oh man I hope Sabo is alive but bad and thus redeemable instead of dead. I like the little Dickensian mite. Also, looking at their childhood made me happy. Tough as hell, but fun. It fits them.
Also Sabo where did your missing tooth go.
>>7657could have been a baby tooth that grew in. I don't think it's all within a short amount of time
>>7659But it goes missing again in like the next panel when they're all "what was that huh Sabo". That's not a big time skip, there.
>>7672a) He lost the other one for whatever reason.b) Oda made an art errormake your pick
>>7637That's hardly conclusive. If Sabo was taken away by his parents and Luffy never saw him again, Luffy would hardly 'have' him.
And then Sabo, Nami and Robin team up and invent the encyclopedia.
I love how Luffy's training to use his rubber body properly. That was so adorable seeing Pistol fail tremendously.
>>7646Oh Oda, you glorious, clever, insane man.
Maybe Ace and Luffy think he's dead, or at least "dead" in the sense that he's back with his family and stuck living the life of a noble, never able to leave and join them on the sea. I could see Sabo's father telling Ace and Luffy that Sabo is dead just to keep them away from him.
>>7697Why would you lie to garbage? The idea of garbage disobeying you is unheard of.
If Sabo is stil lalive then he will show up soon.Do you think he'd sit idly by if his brother get killed, and the other heavily wounded?
>>7685How do you make an error like that? That, and DAT HAT, are Sabo's trademarks.I'll bet some incompetent mongrel drew this page.
>>7711Actually, Oda draws everything living. His assistants do backgrounds. Too lazy to find the interview but he refuses to let other people draw characters because it messes up his flow.Anyway, he's only human, people make mistakes.
>>7712>Anyway, he's only human, people make mistakes. He drew Crocodile without his hook once. Granted, it was in a cover story, but the point stands.
>>7713Might get fixed in the volume, then.
You know... couldn't Crocodile just make a new hand... out of sand? Maybe to play in a Band?
>>7725Logias don't do body modification. They can be taken apart and put back together, but if the hand REALLY comes off or came off before the fruit was eaten, then it stays off.
>>7726Well. he probably COULD make himself a hand out of sand. It's just that he'd have to constantly maintain its shape.
>>7727And it wouldn't be a real hand. It'd actually be made of sand. So it still doesn't really help...
>>7728Come to think of it, have we even seen Logia constructs on such a complex level? The closest I can think of is the Paramecia wax products.
>>7729Akainu created dogs out of magma, I'm sure Croc could manage a hand.
>>7730 Was that for one of his attacks? It isan't the same thing as making a useable hand and constantly maintaining it.
>>7730Making a giant blob of magma shoot out that looks like a dog isn't really the same as making a fully functional hand of sand and maintaining that shape.
>>7733Croc got decapitated by Flamingo and just reconstructed his head.
>>7735The body manipulation granted by Devil's Fruit seems to be based on the form present when the fruit was first eaten.Meaning Croc lost his hand and received the scar before becoming a sandy motherfucker.
>>7736This.He didn't reconstruct a head, he just turned into sand and then back again.
Maybe this was discussed before but, it looks like Ace has always had an X on his arm, tattoo or otherwise
>>7738Huh! Wonder if it's intentional.
>>7736>Meaning Croc lost his hand and received the scar before becoming a sandy motherfucker.Or it happened after he got wet, though the former is still more likely given how well he kept him weakness a secret.
>>7692Also just realized: If we see him do Pistol in flashback, it might never be perfect (curves slightly, etc) because he mentions to the Sea King that he's been practicing for YEARS to actually punch him.
I prefer to think Croc is just fucking around, and just holds a big ass hook in his concealed left hand in order to up his cool factor.
>>7743I could buy that. Gotta be as manly and badass as possible cause he used to be a chick (that's what I believe anyways).
>>7743And Impel Down let him keep it?
>>7746He's superglued it to his arm. He's very keen on keeping the illusion.
>>7747Also, that brings up another question. Why DID they let him keep it? It's a FREAKING HOOK. Sure, if it is his "hand", it'd be mean to take it away, but WAIT A MINUTE this is IMPEL DOWN.
>>7748Because he's Sir motherfucking Crocodile. Duh.
>>7748Nobody wanted to get close enough to it to take it off.
>>7748I guess they figured that if he got loose, the hook was the least of their problems anyway.
>>7750I-I want to get close enough to take it off.
>>7759I think quite a few of us want to get close enough to take it all off.
>>7763
>>7763...indeed
>>7766I should be thinking "This is hot" but I am instead thinking "UNHAND HIM YOU MISCREANT"What is wrong with me.
>>7768And I should be thinking "oh a reaction image" but I am instead thinking "Banquo ;_;"
>>7769...OH MAN- now I can never use this set of reactions again
>>7657It's obvious what happenned here, Oda forgot to mention that in this world, people have six to seven sets of teeth in their life, loising and replacing them frequently, it's why Usopp always has broken off teeth after a fight, and they return later, it's not artistic effect, it's a fact of their biology.
>>7814Never change, Spreeses.
Croc's hook happened because he just got bored on day and decided to cut off his own hand and use it to kill a man. His men were all "But Sir, you need that hand." and Croc was all "Fuck hands, I'm Sir Mother Fucking Crocodile." He tried to cut off the other, but he realized he needed another hand to do so. He'd have had his men do it for him, but no one touches Sir Crocodile but Sir Crocodile. Then he had sex with all the women... and a good deal of the men, who turned into women upon being penetrated by his glorious manhood.
Crocodile has become tiresome to me, all cause his fans are a bit much.
>>7817I'm still of the belief that he forgot to dry off his hand before feeding his prized Bananadile, Pickles.
>>7818I just like making absurdly over the top explanations for things.
