Well he is fucking massive, and there aren't many Aphelondras around. He could have just not found a lady he could do the nasty with that wouldn't break.

Also, he was a pirate, and having little babies around while you get into battles on the high seas is generally a bad idea. By adopting sons like he did, he was able to give directionless pirates a fuckawesome pirate figure and have all the sons he wanted who could defend themselves right off the bat.

He killed no one noteworthy (even after several panels were dedicated to Sengoku bitching about how dangerous he is) and was done in by something really un-oda like, Blackbeard's gang busting a cap on him. My prediction: After making it to Raftel and finding One Piece Luffy will emerge to find him and his crew surrounded by Navy Battleships, all being led by newly promoted Vice Admiral Coby.

I don't believe One Piece will end at Raftel. I mean it makes sense as an obvious end point, but it's not like the World Government would just bend over.

If it ends at Raftel, it means something big will have to happen, like Robin broadcasting a version of the true history to the whole world, or the Revolutionaries using Pluton to force the WG to back down.

Frankly I think it'd be more interesting to see Luffy become Pirate King, and then go beat up those 5 old guys in an epic FINAL BOSS showdown after beating the Black-Beard Pirates at Raftel.

I actually agree. He's a force to be reckoned with. But he didn't do anything in the war besides declare that one piece existed and failing at retrieving ace. It felt pretty downplayed. I guess Oda shot himself in the foot by not showcasing or having any important marines be targets for slaughter.
