Had a great first episode. Actual animation pretty much throughout the series but the plot focuses HEAVILY on Maria who is by far the worst character. We only get inklings and unfinished stuff in regards to the politics and espionage which really sucks considering that's when the show was at its most interesting.


From the bit I gathered it's about Alphard and Canaan fighting over being the best of Siam's students and being worthy of the title Canaan.(holy land IIRC)

Both are working for opposing factions and Alphard is trying to implement Bioweapons in the form of Borners into the field. This is all an attempt to replicate Canaan's synthesia power who even Siam said was to be feared. He also tells Alphard that she's close to said power but doesn't have it. she's just a bad ass normal like Batman.

Alphard has no human connection though while Canaan does in Maria (her waifu) so she's always going to be a better soldier than Alphard because she isn't just fighting for hateful reasons.

KnK was better but still not even good in my opinion it was ok. God tier music though and some nice action sequences. But the main 2 characters felt flat and it was basically a romance about them.

I was mostly just talking about the animation quality. As for soundtracks, all three have good music, even Tsukihime.

Still, there's really no substitute for the original novels and VNs.
