It......was OK. I tried to like it. I was reminded of Milk Chan when I watched Kaiba.
I found a version of the show on Anime Network's YouTube channel, but it's a bit... off. Different voices, these interspliced live-action sequences with the ADV crew, different dialogue... overall a totally different feel that has none of what I loved about the version aired on [as]. It doesn't even have the delightful, trippy opening sequence.

>>48093According to the internet the one that played on adult swim was a litteral translation of the original Japanese, while the ADV one localized the jokes and took out the 'video essays' and replaced them with the aformentioned live action skits featured ADV crew. I haven't seen the second one but honestly it sounds like a terrible idea.
