So as of the new chapter, Isshin has taken Ichigo to the Hyperbolic Time Chamber to train, since apparently time is physical enough to be 'dense', and they'll be there for an hour, the equivalent of three months. That's leaving Gin and Aizen alone for about an hour, which should give them just about enough time to menace a mailbox in Bleach time.Meanwhile, Tatsuki and one half of Those Two Guys are reminding us that they exist, except everyone else in the world seems to be asleep at the same time.
I waited for this.
Is it just me, or does Tatsuki look sort of different because the art style's changed so much since the last time we saw her?
KEIKAKU DOORI KEIKAKU DOORI KEIKAKU DOORI KEIKAKU DOORI KEIKAKU DOORI KEIKAKU DOORI KEIKAKU DOORI KEIKAKU DOORI KEIKAKU DOORI KEIKAKU DOORI KEIKAKU DOORI KEIKAKU DOORI KEIKAKU DOORI KEIKAKU DOORI KEIKAKU DOORI KEIKAKU DOORI KEIKAKU DOORI KEIKAKU DOORI
My personal theory about Aizen's new abilities:The hogyoku gives him some sort of instant-evolution abilities. Recall that Isshin, Urahara, and Yoruichi were beating on Aizen pretty easily... at least until Aizen got hit with the Getsuga Tenshou, at which point Aizen proclaims that he "understood that blow" and returns the walloping in kind. This made me think: "understanding" Isshin's attack seemed to play a major part in Aizen defeating him, so I'm thinking his new body automatically adapts him to any opponent he faces; in essence, he is always at the exact level of strength he needs to counter whoever he is facing at the time. Remember Kuromomotaro from Yu Yu Hakusho? Yeah, it's basically his abilities, cranked up to eleven. So, how does one defeat such a foe? Well, remember how Yugi beat Pegasus? That's right: by being two opponents in one! Methinks we'll be paying another visit to the Dark Side of the Universe in the near future...
Let me guess, we'll get to see Ichigo train in real time and the plot is on hiatus for the next three months, calling it now. Also who did Aizen shank at the end of the chapter? Gin? Urahara? Ishida's dad? Who?
>>44622I think that was just a close up of Ichigo's coat.
>>44615Huh. Good theory, strikes me as pretty likely. It'd be a really bleach-esque twist if the "massive reiatsu" that's got Ichigo floored is actually an accurate mirror of his own power.
so they left namik and now are in the hyperbolic time chamber.
God Bleach is so shitty, why can't I stop reading it?
Mullet.... Aizen is McGuyver.
BLEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAACHIIGOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOI'd like the story if they could manage to write it faster.
Even more missiley in animation!
Bleach is by far the worst of Big 3, but I enjoy it more than Naruto. Maybe it's because while Naruto is just plain sub-par, Bleach is HILARIOUSLY bad.
Jesus Christ no! Look at what Kubo did to Zangetsu!
>>44860NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
>>44860Man, these 2,000 hours are really going to be down to the wire!
>>44860 NNNNNNNNNnnooooooooooooo! as well.
http://mangastream.com/read/bleach/13681102/1I can't tell if this is suppose to be Zangetsu after changing form or a separate being.
>>44860>>44861>>44869You think this is bad now, just wait for the DOUJINS.
. . .Wow.
>>44888Kubo needs to do something besides making a manga. Fashion designer, album cover art, anything that doesn't let him actually write.
>>44890Fashion designer is apparently his actual dream job.
>>44888He just needs to MAKE ART. Stop making fucking manga. Someone just give him a ton of money to lock himself away in his apartment for a year and draw. God fucking damn.
>>44896Except he's a horrible artist. Technically, I mean. I don't think he has any idea about how composition works.
Admit it, you HNNNNG'd a little.
>>44877I know, I thought Hollow Ichigo ate Zangetsu so he wasn't around anymore.
Banking on our friendly neighborhood ghost vendor having given Tatsuki and the gang some crazy protection gear.
Someone on /a/ pointed out that Ichigo promised not to let it rain and the whole damn place is now underwater.
>>44932I don't think Zangetsu ever told Ichigo about how he hates the rain. I though he just monologued that to himself.
>>44932It might be a Tensa (Tenga?) Zangetsu thing, given he's never gone into his inner world in Bankai form before, so perhaps things change a lil'. It might not be his experiences which have changed the world (although I'm not ruling it out either).
>>given he's never gone into his inner world in Bankai form beforeExcept those times he has. This really makes me suspect that maybe Kubo doesn't write a lot of Bleach. How else can you forget what you wrote at the start of the arc you're trying to finish?
>>44975What are talking about? Using or talking to his Hollowed side isn't the same thing as going into his zanpakuto's inner world. They're different place (as much as those can be considered places) even if they are capable of reaching each other.
>>44975Somehow I think he's implying a difference from going into his inner world in Bankai compared to entering in Shikai and then using Bankai while inside.
>>44977It's all inside of him.
>>44981But they're not the same part inside of him. Say they have to be the same place because they're both inside of his mind is like saying your spleen in the same as your liver because they're both inside of your body. The chapter didn't actually say it was the first time since he's achieved/while he's using bankai that he's been (anywhere in) his inner world, it had Tensa Zangetsu say it was his first time "here" (meaning the Zanpakuto part).
>>44981But Zangetsu wasn't even there. Hollow Ichigo had displaced him at the time.
>>44982It's the same place for them all. That's why Zangetsu and Much Better Ichigo have been there at the same time. Kubo's just a terrible writer.
So....New chapter. Kubo is a forgetful idiot.http://mangastream.com/read/bleach/87715573/1
>>45282Not even going to hide the fact that this is all according to Aizen's plan, I see. Also how many Deicides are there going to be?
>>4528444?
. . .Damn. Been a long time since someone said something to Ichigo with that kind of punch.
Yes. YES.I've been waiting for this turnaround for four damn years.
Inner Hollow Ichigo again? This getting to eighties cartoon villain level repetitive. Every time Ichigo gets down in the dumps, Hollow Ichigo shows up and calls Ichigo a pussy and brags about how he should be in charge, Ichigo beats, gets a power up, and Hollow Ichigo goes, "I'll get you next time Kurosaki! Next time!"You want to throw me a curve ball Kubo? Have Hollow Ichigo become the dominant personalty and give the series the ultimate BAD END.
>>45294It's bad, but if that's what it takes to de-pussify Ichigo, I'm willing to deal with it.Anyway, CALLING IT NOW:NEXT WEEK'S THE WEEK!
And now I'm disappoint again.
>>45295>It's bad, but if that's what it takes to de-pussify Ichigo, I'm willing to deal with it. It's never works though, it's like putting tape on a busted pipe, will it stop the leak? Yeah, sure, for awhile but then it'll wear through the tape and the problem's back. I know Kubo keeps bringing Hollow Ichigo because of FANS but damn it, can't he think of a better representation of Ichigo's inner turmoil then the same ole plot element? Also, you posted the wrong pic, let me fix that.
>>45297Oh it's a temporary fix, I don't deny, but then again Kubo has stated there's only one arc after this anyway, so who cares?>The real heroNow stop me if this sounds crazy:What if... they team up?
>>45299Don't they already team up, kinda-sorta? The whole King and his Horse thing? To be honest, I kinda wish Hollow Ichigo would take over. Make the main shonen hero the major villain. There's a trope we don't see often.
>>45301He meant Ishida's dad and Kanonji.>>45299He already has a team.
>>45294Protip: Kubo doesn't know how character development works. This is why every time a character resolves some of their internal drama, sooner or later it'll happen all over again, almost exactly like before.
For the record? Happy as I am to see this turnaround, unpredictable as things may presently be, I still haven't written off that theory of mine about how the next big antagonist will be a fallen Ichigo.
I'm beginning to suspect Bones is using Aizen-before-his-hair-was-terrible pictures to make sure I pay attention to these threads. Clever man. Also have a thing that makes me lol every time.
So despite being one of the better characters in this story and meeting Urahara, Tautski has no way to defend herself. Why do I bother?
>>45325Listen, I'm as big a Tatsuki fan as anyone. But you're bitching about someone not standing a chance against a villain who is presently what can only be described as God Mode- and your rationale is that she got some hasty training from a guy said villain already defeated, in a 3 on 1 fight.
>>45329>3 on 1 fight. What? But it's Aizen and Gin, unless you're counting the Hogoku too. Also, >>45295 this and >>45297 this needs to happen. They won't win, but goddamn will it be cool to watch. Hell, the first one alone is enough for me to be excited.
>>45339He means Soul Reaper Dad, Mister Hat N' Clogs and Catlady attacked him all at once and got their shit ruined.Ichigo was holding off Gin at the time.
Calling it.Don Kanonji is the Spirit King.
>>45499Best. Tweest. Ever.
>>45499... I guess that's why it's called Blech! lololol
Now with 75% more flashbacks to make a single page take up 3 minutes.
jesus christ it is him

>>45738
>>45738WHAT
>>45738GODDAMIT
>>45738IT'S HERCULE AND CELL ALL OVER AGAIN!
>>45749So he will defeat Aizen without a scratch and become hero of the world?

So Kanonji isn't any more powerful than he looks, but he did manage to by some time by being incredibly distracting.
Okay... So in working out that the Strawhat Crew in One Piece has been separated for about a month in manga time, I got to thinking...How much time do you think has gone by in Bleach since Orihime got put in Hueco Mundo?HELL, how much time has gone by (Manga wise) since the series started?
>>45786Didn't they go to save Orihime during summer break and now it's winter?
Kubo has stated that the whole series has taken place in under a year.
Huh, I guess at least it's not another Hollow Ichigo fight.
>>45789No, it's something with a much worse character design. Also:The reason Keigo's friend is missing is because he's actually the Spirit King and knew shit had finally gone down.
It's been suggested that Kanoji is the King, but that's not true, because someone on /a/ has figured out how it really works:>Don Kanonji is the jester from King. So he is a member of Squad 0.>The guy got bored of his life on royalty and wanted to troll humans.
Greatest chapter in a while.
>>45787WHAT? I don't think they've been gone for more than a few days.
FFFFFFFFFFFFFF
>>45818NOW YOU FEEL LIKE NUMBER ONESHINING BRIGHT FOR EVERYONE
>>45795Yeah, I mixed up rescues. Rukia was summer break, Orihime was winter.
My, it's Kamen Zangetsu W."TENSA!""HOLLOW!""Now, let's count your failures."
>>45820there is nothing about this picture that isn't awesome
I was worried Kubo forgot about her.
>>45840I shamelessly ship Gin x Matsumoto
>>45840Kubo has to periodically throw in tits, it's in his contract.
>>45820
>Don Kanonji is backMy desire to finish catching up with Bleach just grew by like 6000%.
http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2010-07-12/december-bleach/jigoku-hen-film-overseen-by-kuboBasically, Kubo is overseeing a Bleach movie which is going to be set in Hell. Whether this means there won't be a manga arc set there is unknown.
>>46098Movies usually just translate to "Cool Story Bro" and never actually effect continuity.
Pointless things to note about ep 279:- Even though half of it is another Turn Back the Pendulum flashback, it still covers three chapters, 365-367- Even though this shot is part of the opening, it does not appear itself in the episode.
>>46118I know it won't, I was just thinking to how Kubo said there would be a story arc set in hell and wondering if this movie having that plot is to make up for/take the place of a planned manga arc that may have gotten scrapped.
>>46119Also implied wires.
>>46098Ulquiorra and Gin in civilian clothes?Hmm...
>>46130All I can think of when I see that is Jackie Diaz. It's like she's tainted that kind of stuff in my mind.... DIAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAZZZZZ!
>>46130By civilian you mean mean hipster and what looks like a villain from Yu-Gi-Oh.>>46121Maybe if we're lucky, the movie will Kubo troll it way into continuity.
>>46130>Rukia in cut off shortsHNNNNGONEWEAKNESS
>>46130>>46134>Rukia in cut off shorts
>>46134 >>46135 Yep, that's pretty much my reaction.
>>46130 Oh my~
>>46130Gin looks like he wants to challenge me to a Children's Card Game.
>>46151Look more to me like he wants to read my future, maybe change it 'round some, too.
>>46151See, I'm not the only one.
http://mangastream.com/read/bleach/82151810/1Hey, it's Zennouske....'s Sword!
Best part of the chapter.
So Keigo has a sword now. That should help him not be incompetence for about two seconds. Unless we're going to get some super secret origin that was never hinted before this moment.
Tatsuki x Matsumoto forever.
>>46212Keigo is actually half Arrancar half Shinigami half Demon who had amnesia when he fought the Spirit King using the great spirit sword Sugoinekosama which is always in bankai and can split the universe in half with a single slash.
>>46216He's just going to trip and impale himself on it, giving him shinigami powers.
>>46229>Shinigami Keigo...That'd actually be a fun development.>>46216No, that's actually Don Kanonji
today is Tatsuki birthday! Yay!
>>46345Yay! Cautious optimism!
>>46178hes going to accidentally impale himself and gain powersjust watch
Episode 280 is Chapters 368 and 369.Interestingly, the events of 368 are covered in a slightly different order.Padding includes some more fighting, some more reactions from people to each other's fights and a lot more arguing.
>>46508Looks like I'll have to update the ol' shippers guide.
http://mangastream.com/read/bleach/71833834/1WTF? Since when has Mizuiro been a potential domestic terrorist?
>>46606So are they just going to go through the joke characters/other spiritually aware side characters until Ichigo shows up? What next Kisuke's little helpers? Kon? Ishida's dad?
>>46607>What next Kisuke's little helpers? Kon? Ishida's dad?The first one, particular Tessai, are fairly likely to show up as, as is Ryuken.I am sort of curious what the hell Kon is doing.
>>46606Holy shit.I wasn't expecting Tsuchinimazu to actually be released. I thought that was just a video game/filler thing. And it works just like it did in that one episode, too!
>>46608Isn't the little girl at Kisuke's shop some sort of super powerful killbot? Why wouldn't you sic her on Aizen (for yet another diversion for Ichigo's pals to scamper away) until Ichigo shows up?Like I said, all of the little helper will probably show up.Also Kon has been effectively useless ever since Ichigo's dad showed up and told him to go home during the Grand Fisher fight.
>>46612I'm not sure why I'm so surprised, considering Nejibana also first shows up in a Video Game and then turns out to work exactly like that in the manga.
>>46612Most manga writers, unless it contradicts something in the ongoing plot they have envisioned, usually just adapt whatever goes on in the anime and roll with it or at least that's what I've noticed.
>>46606Bleach Wiki has this interesting tidbit:>In the official character book, part of his description says 'He has a cute face, but he's actually a ????'. At the moment, Tite Kubo has not said anything about this blanked out word, leaving it unidentified.
>>46613Because Aizen is about three orders of magnitude stronger than the last guy we saw here lose to? That arrancar that worked for Grimmjow. You know, Pink-Head's brother.
>>46615Sometimes I wonder if they just ask him what their swords do when making stuff. That said, Ukitake never used his electricity and/or water tricks that you see in most video games.
>>46617I heard Grimmjo--oh its nothing about him. turbogay. ok carry on with your Bleach discussan. I'm just waiting for it to advance a bit moar before I pick it back up.
>>46617Whatever, like I said, it's all filler until Ichigo shows up again.
>>46620Yeah, I usually don't complain about single chapters of manga not going anywhere, but only about 3 pages of this chapter were plot-relevant (Mizuiro and Chizuru being up, Aizen coming to them, and Gin showing up).
>>46606His first meeting with Ichigo:Ichigo: Hey, are you good at coming up with excuses?Mizuiro: . . .Pathologically so.Ichigo: Great, I'm gonna need a big one after I save your friend Keigo's ass with violence.
Mizuiro is pretty boss. Stealing stun guns, food, making makeshift bombs, having women make lunch for him every day...
Fuck year Zennosuke. Why don't you have a spinoff yet.
Okay, here's my theory now:Gin stabs the hougyoku with his God-killing Spear.Aizen guts Gin, but loses the hougyoku's power with its destruction and is forced to go bankai against Ichigo.Ichigo, now in perfect synchronization with his Hollow and his sword, strikes down Aizen with the Final Getsuga Tenshou. But it's too late to save Gin, and he dies in Matsumoto's arms as she forgives him.But Yammy's still at large, and now, with all his superiors dead, he plans to destroy all three worlds!Cue final boss music.
>>46790And theorize that Yammy is going to keep growing until he collapses like a neutron star, destroy all of Las Noches.Yammy himself is then turned into that little skeleton dog/goat thing we saw him with a couple times.
ALL DOSE POIPLE
>>46883 HUGE NOSE.
You know what Kubo could have done to make Aizen less boring and shitty? Instead of having one stay under Aizen's illusions forever once you witness him release, have it so that one stays under his illusions until he seals his sword. And, naturally, he can't release it to affect people around him until he seals it.It's still extremely powerful and useful (as is appropriate for the series' Big Bad), but it's not as God-Mode boring as it is currently, since it forces Aizen to be at least a little clever with how he uses it and make choices: if he wants to hypnotize this person now, he has to give up his hypnosis from earlier.
They seem to be having some fun with this stuff.Episode 281 is chapters 370 and 371.- Instead of dispelling his barrier and then "Oh no, he's still alive!", the barrier stays up and Barragan breaks through it.- Barragan launches several respiras at Hachi who keeps dodging until he finally hits.- Instead of noticing Hachi's arm is gone, Barragan first notices something in his stomach, then Hachi explains his theory, then he realizes Hachi's arm is missing.- Barragan throwing his axe is put before the (extended) flashback, so it at first appears that he's trying to take Hachi down with him rather than Aizen.
Sometimes I wonder if I should spoiler these anime changes I feel so compelled to point out.I've become obsessed with comparing adaptations directly to their source material these days.
>>46970Having the illusions not "stack" would be a pretty good idea, yes.Personally, I'd just like if somebody else would be able to weaken Aizen. It's pretty dang obvious at this point (based on how badly he's been owning everybody else) that Ichigo will have to do EVERYTHING himself.Compare, say, Fullmetal Alchemist. While the final battle was Ed vs. Father, Ed still needed the Armstrongs to dismantle the military conspiracy, Hohenheim to reverse the Nationwide Transmutation Circle, Scar to hit the kill-switch on Father's Alchemy-nullification, Al to sacrifice himself to get Ed his arm back, and Greed to immobilize Father so Ed could deal the final blow.
>>47061Maybe the final getsuga is actually a spirit bomb. Then it'll be like everyone is helping.
>>47064 You can't see my face but I am giving you a fairly stern look right now.
>>47061Every actual character always has to be dealt with by one person in Bleach. Any time we had one person fight multiple people the single person always won. Teamwork has never accomplished anything but beating a Menos back when that meant something and weakening Barragan. Also, that thing about Fullmetal Alchemist isn't fully applicable given various character already have beaten Aizen's army (and I think you meant "contrast"). More importantly it's also an insanely huge spoiler.
http://mangastream.com/read/bleach/41423749/1Wow, it's the surprise backstabbing that we all knew was coming for years. But with a twist: It may actually work!
>>47159But it won't.
>>47159It's about damn time, too.
>>47159>You're gonna die with a hole in your breast. Isn't that your long-cherished ambition?Lolwut? Is this a bad translation or a reference to some Japanese phrase?
>>47163Aizen wanted to break the barrier between Hollow and Shinigami to surpass his limits.
>>47159I guess that's what the Deicide was referring to.Now, the question is: is he doing this to redeem himself, or to usurp Aizen as the BBEG?
>>47176Given the flashback showing Gin has been planning this since he was fairly young, we can conclude that good or evil, most of what he's done in the course of the series was for the purpose of killing Aizen.
...Haha Gin's bankai and Rangiku's shikai are basically the same thing.haha aw :<
FUCK YEEEEAH GINSCREAMI'm not sure how I feel about the latest explanation of his sword, though.
>>47182It would be awesome if that literally was his whole motive: just to see if he COULD kill Aizen.
>>47176Who would have imagined an entire series of chapters named after the act of killing a god would end with someone killing a god with a weapon called the god-killing spear.
Total asspull on Gin's part, but hey, if it kills Aizen I won't complain.
>>47201>Gin being treacherous and deceptive = asspull
>>47232I'm pretty sure he meant what Gin's bankai really does (that he lied about it again and it turns out to be this semi-random assortment of powers which are exactly what Gin need) not Gin being a traitor.
I don't particularly mind that Gin's Zanpakuto is based off a snake, but how it was revealed was as if a 5-year-old was writing Bleach. It can stretch to ten times its original length, but when it goes bankai it stretches up to 100 times but its known for its speed rather than its length but its real power is to turn into dust at a certain speed and can implant poison inside of you and kill you in one shot.
>>47233As someone who stopped reading Bleach like 300 chapters ago and just popped back into it to read the latest one cause it sounded neat, and thus has little-to-no fanboy influences, doesn't seem so random to me. Blade turns to razor-sharp dust, many pieces of dust are made out of a crazy-deadly poison, it stabs in blade-formation, quickly reforming into sword. That way, he can still stab with a regular sword, or with an elongated crazy-deadly poisoned one. Also, if Gin was planning on killing Aizen all this time, why WOULD he actually reveal what his bankai was? I'd be trolling so hard with what that shit did.
>>47232Don't be dense. The asspull is that his Bankai's power is suddenly something totally unrelated to what we've already seen it do, with no foreshadowing whatsoever, and that thing happens to be exactly what he needs to kill Aizen at this moment. That's the very definition of an asspull.
>>47248To be honest, that was never a very well defined trope page.
>>47248True, but it's an asspull that's rather in-character. Gin would hide his potentially useful bankai, lie about it, and pull it on his boss at the most opportune time.He reveal was bad, yes, but at least it didn't break anything pre-established. In criticizing a series like Bleach, you have to pick your battles; you sure as hell aren't reading it for the masterful storytelling.
>>47238>>47254These two cover my responses.
But I wasn't criticizing it based on it being in or out of character, I was calling it lame writing on Kubo's part, so...?
I miss the chasing already.Look into the sword of water, and you will do as you damn oughta!
Okay, here's something cool. It's from the new character book, a sketch of the Captains and Lieutenants from 100 years ago.* 1st Division Captain Yamamoto Shigekuni Genryuusai and Lt. Chojiro Sasakibe.* 2nd Division Captain Yoruichi Shihoin and Lt. Marenoshin Omaeda (Marechiyo's dad).* 3rd Division Captain Rose Otoriboshi and Lt. Chikane Iba (Tetsuzaemon's mom).* 4th Division Captain Retsu Unohana and Lt. Seinosuke Yamada (Hanataro's older brother?)* 5th Division Captain Shinji Hirako and Lt. Sosuke Aizen.* 6th Division Captain Ginrei Kuchiki and Lt. Soujun Kuckiki (Byakuya's dad?)* 7th Division Captain Love Aikawa and Lt. Jinemon Kotsubaki (related to the 13th Division's 3rd Seat?)* 8th Division Captain Shunsui Kyoraku and Lt. Lisa Yadomaru.* 9th Division Captain Kensei Muguruma and Lt. Mashiro Kuna.* 11th Division Captain Kenpachi Kiganjou.* 12th Division Captain Kisuke Urahara and Lt. Hiyori Sarugaki.* 13th Division Captain Jushiro Ukitake and Lt. Kaien Shiba.Interesting the 10th Division officers, as well as the 11th Division's Lieutenant, aren't here. That tells me that they'll be important and that revealing them now would be spoiling.Or maybe Kubo just ran out of room.
>>47390Rose's lieutenant looks like the Landlady from Gintama.
>>47390Also, as a sidenote, Kiganjou is by far the most badass thing to come out of Bleach in a good while.
>>47390So is Kiganjou the guy Zaraki killed to replace, or someone before then? Also, does it mention why he doesn't have a lieutenant?
>>47390...The only thing I can think while looking at this is how gay I'd go for Urahara.I feel bad.
>Interesting the 10th Division officers, as well as the 11th Division's Lieutenant, aren't here.>That tells me that they'll be important and that revealing them now would be spoiling.I feel like a complete idiot for needing to have this pointed out to me, but the 10th Division captain was probably Isshin and I guess he's not here so as not to draw attention to whoever was his lieutenant. Mizuiro?
>>47395It's ok. All I think of when I look at this is HNNNNGHSHINJIAIZEN
>>47390Huh. Chojiro's been around for that long, huh?
>>47392Or the Announcer from TF2.
>>47409He looks weird without the facial hair.
Here's another interesting thing about the character book:According to this thread here (http://bleachasylum.com/threads/15426-Bleach-Character-Book-2-Masked/page31) in the interview with Kubo in the book, he told the interviewer some things that the interviewer didn't reprint because the spoilers were too big, among them the 10th Division Captain and Lieutenant from 100 years ago and the identity of the bodies in Szayelaprorro's lab...
>>47390Is it really Kaien?I don't think he had hired him yet at that point.
>>47418>SzayelaprorroOh, yeah. That's another thing: some of the Romanizations it gives for the arrancar are different than ones most people figured or even some official sources gave.Like you mentioned, it turns out Szayel doesn't have a middle name, rather "aporro" was just part of his first name, Nnoitra Gilga not Jiruga, Aisslinger not Iceringer, Wonderweiss Margela not Margera, Yammy Llargo not Riyalgo, Zommari Rureaux not Leroux, Apacci not Apache, and Sung-Sun not Sun-Sun.
>>47420Speaking of Aisslinger, he and Demoura are confirmed as Arrancar #17 and 18 respectively, which would appear to put them in Grimmjow's squad. Grimmjow's bunch also seem to be the oldest group of Arrancar (unless they were reissued the numbers after the originals died or something).#11: Shawlong#12: Grimmjow (a blurb in one of the volumes explains that he is Arrancar #12 in age and Espada #6 in power)#13: Edrad#14: Nakeem#15: Yylfordt#16: Di Roy#17: Aisslinger#18: Demoura
They're more solid than I thought.
>>47422Although that may be because they aren't coloured in like that in the manga.
>>47419Wasn't Ukitake just hiring him when all the stuff hit the fan and Aizen got half of the 13 Squads banished or Vizer'd?
>>47438It sort of looks like Ukitake's calling him over in the picture.
http://mangastream.com/read/bleach/42115567/1) :
>>47496This is...kinda gay.
>>47497So turns out that removing the Philosopher's stone doesn't kill the homunculus. Also, Aizen showed an actual expression!
GLORIOUS!...is there any way to do a sparkle font on this site?
God fucking dammit.
>>47163Incidentally, the line is different in the Ju-Ni version.WHICH ONE IS MORE CORRECT?
man fuck this shit
God DAMNIT.I give up. Every time it looks like something might happen, OH NO WHOOPS AIZEN WINS. Seriously. The whole "Aizen has the upper hand again!" thing hasn't been interesting for a long time.
AND ONCE AGAIN, A SIDE CHARACTER IS KILLED BY AIZEN WITHOUT ACCOMPLISHING ANYTHING.
>>47515 Man that isn't even a spoiler by this point. It's one of the core tenants of the Bleach universe.I wouldn't be surprised if just when it looks like Ichigo is about to beat Aizen at the finale of the series he does it once again and we get a BAD END.
>>47516I did actually consider spoiling it, but then yeah "AIZEN WINS" isn't a spoiler. Fuck, this isn't even FUNNY like Bleach's usual badness, this is just asspain inducing.
What the fuck was even the point of that!?
>>47526To show you can't just take the Hogyoku out to kill Aizen and so Gin won't just be sitting around when Ichigo fights Aizen.
Know what I really liked about this chapter?Gin's character. What his actual motivations and drives turned out to be. It's not easy to have your story's secrets be worth that kind of build-up.
>>47530>Gin got close to Aizen to avenge his friend>Tousen got power from Aizen to avenge his friend
Clearly the only way to beat Aizen is have him fight himself.
>>47535Urahara already tried that.
I knew it wouldn't work. But I held on to the smallest hope that maybe, just maybe Gin's actions would have some actual baring on how Aizen eventualy loses.Nope. They just needed to write Gin out of the story somehow, and this was the first thing they thought of.
>>47537 Well not make him hypnotize himself but have someone that utilizes the optic nerve or all the senses of others around them and make Aizen burn himself out using his illusions. Either he'll have to make everyone see one thing which will fail in the end or they'll piece together the truths and falsehoods everyone else is seeing…or was that also done?
... Goddammit, Kubo.
>>47539>Well not make him hypnotize himselfHuh? No, I was talking about how Urahara forced Aizen's own spiritual power to destroy his body like 13 chapters ago but it didn't work because of the Hogyoku (the explosion of which was a transition to his body in the cocoon phase).
>>47532I just love the idea that this massive, life-consuming con began as something so. . .well, alot of different things. Simple. Childish. Noble. Ordinary. Dramatic. Hell, that it wasn't stupid. It means all the tragedy in Gin's story- both for him and for others- happened for valid reasons, rather than being cases of pointless/avoidable suffering.I love that in these glimpses of his true character, he's earnest. It means all his tricky/deceptive behavior wasn't because "he's just that kind of guy". He was just smart, pragmatic, and ruthless enough to adopt the most sensible strategy available. Also, there is no way on earth the man is actually dead. That's like, *half* of what happened to Grimmjow at the midpoint of his fight with Ichigo.
>>47498Did anyone else hear this? Because when I saw that page it was the first thing to pop into my head.
So amidst all the spilled ink and disappointment, am I correct in surmising that Gin has spent all these decades waiting for a chance to kill Aizen because Aizen's goons raped Matsumoto?
>>47556Whether that's the literal case or not will likely never be revealed, but that's certainly the subtext.
So Aizen dna digivolved into a fucking Final Fantasy end boss and conspired to have Rangiku raped years ago? It's shit like this that really makes you step back and go, "Why am I still reading this?"
>>47579 I don't think Aizen ordered her to be raped, it's just that his goons happened to do it, so Gin added Aizen to his crap list along with them because they work for him.
>>47583Yeah, I honestly don't think she was raped, rape is too far out of left field even for Kubo plus it doesn't fit the tone of Bleach. She was just probably attacked but the real question is whether or not Kubo will go in detail on why she was attacked or if we're just supposed to go with the idea of Aizen randomly putting the hit out on children and thus that ticks off Gin.
Where did those goons come from anyways? I don't remember Aizen ever having Shinigami henchmen before this moment. You know, other than Tozen and Gin and maybe a few people he hypnotized.
>>47596He did have the one guy who was standing in for him during the Pendulum arc.>>47595>plus it doesn't fit the tone of BleachI wouldn't go THAT far. Bleach has a long and storied history of sexualized violence against its female characters. That is, of course, not the same thing as saying that it has a long and storied history of raping its female characters. It's not Berserk or anything. But it does mean that an awful lot of rape imagery has been tossed around quite casually (this chapter being a prime example), so an actual rape wouldn't feel all that out of place.
>>47596>>47597And the other three gatekeepers.
>>47597What are you talking about? I can't think of any sexualized violence towards females in this series. There is a lot of violence towards women in the series but I never thought it was particularly sexual. Are you counting any violence towards women as sexual? Because just beating someone's ass and/or stabbing them isn't inherently sexual. You could argue when Orihime was smacked around while imprisoned as sexual but it wasn't, well no more sexual than if an attractive, yet docile man was beaten.
>>47604Nnoitra sticking his fingers down Orihime's throat (I think he might have even declared intention to rape her but I'm less certain of that from memory, and with the manga readers gone checking is a more difficult task, especially at work like I am. May depend on quality of translation). Szayel artificially impregnating and then chestbursing out of Nemu. Loly and Menoly's various deaths, each of which look like something out of a guro doujin.Etc. Etc. Etc.
>>47605Most of those come down to personal opinion Because I never got a sexual vibe from most of those though clearly you did.
>>47608...I'm really not sure how you could not get a sexual vibe out of Nemu getting impregnated and then torn open. Or Nnoitra gagging Orihime with his fingers, which is a Rape Scene Classic.
>>47609Eh, Nemu bursting open is no more sexual than watching an alien chest burster from the Alien series. (Yes, I realize a little alien raping people's faces is by definition sexual but I never actually view it as a sexual act.)Though I'll give you the Orihime thing but Nnoitra was intended to be a creep and you knew he was never actually going to do anything to her.
>>47610>(Yes, I realize a little alien raping people's faces is by definition sexual but I never actually view it as a sexual act.)But it's certainly sexual imagery.>but Nnoitra was intended to be a creep and you knew he was never actually going to do anything to her.Yes, and? What's your point? Again, this isn't about actual sex acts occurring in the text. This is about subtext and imagery. Violence presented with sexual overtones, not actual literal sexual assault.
http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/FreudWasRight
>>47611Fine, I'll agree the subtext is there but we all know dancing around a subject is not the same thing just going through with something, that something in this context would be the rape of a child.
>>47631Agreed, there has not been any actual sexual assault at this time in the series. However, all the rape imagery and sexualized violence sets the tone of the series. An actual rape would not necessarily deviate very far from that. Which was my point from the beginning.
Bleach has always been full of rap imagery. When the opening sequence was still Asterisk the whole sequence gave off hip-hop vibes for no apparent reason.
>>47648If Bleach had been anything like what the Asterisk opening made it look like, it would've been awesome.
>>47679No, it would just be Durara.
>>47680>Yes, and it would be called DurararaFTFY
>>47679don't remind me. my dreams... my beautiful dreams...
ep 283 is ch 374 and 375.The most notable difference is that the wolves who are implied to be Lilynette are still there.
Next episode is implied to be mostly if not entirely a filler episode flashback for Harribel
>>47943Maybe she'll finally get a dignified death.
>>47942So bits of Starrk are still running around? Interesting...A lot of people deride Kubo for his nonsensical twists (which, to be fair, there are a lot of), but he can do Chekhov's Gun well if he tries. Case in point: Shinji writing his name backwards.Could something be being set up here?
>>47950Why DOES he do that? I haven't kept up with Bleach in ages.
>>47951It's because his Zanpacto's release (don't know if it's his bankai or not) makes you perceive everything backwards. Left becomes right, up becomes down, and front becomes back. The better the reflexes of the person he's fighting, the harder it will be for him to ignore his instincts and do everything backwards instead.Of course Aizen is unaffected somehow.
>>47950Except Kyoraku kills them all easily. Thus Starrk's monologue about how he's alone is even more literal, as Lillynette just died.
>>47952Aizen was affected (and indeed led to his first-ever wound in the series), he just didn't panic and got used to it easily. You know those enemies in video games that reverse your controls and you have to get used to it? That's what Aizen did.
>>47956And he was retarded enough to explain it.
>>47957Dude, we went over this. The explanation deliberately left out key details.
>>47957It's anime/manga.They're bound by law to explain the exact how and why of their powers.
>>46130
>>48046I'll be in ma bunk.
>>48046 ...Miss Kuchiki, are you trying to seduce me?
>>47956Which is incredibly stupid because Shinji had literally just explained that the more skilled the fighter is, the harder a time he has overcoming his instincts.>>47960He left out one detail only; he didn't let on that front and back were also reversed until his first attack. After that, he had no tricks left.
>>48067>he didn't let on that front and back were also reversed I still have no idea how this is supposed to work.
>>48068I'm guessing that means Shinji made him think things were only inverted alone one axis (left becomes right), instead of two (also forward becomes backward) or three (and up becomes down).
>>48067Aizen's hardly an instinctual fighter, though. The most dangerous facet of Shinji's sword is the psychological aspect, and Aizen is calm and doesn't lose his cool.
>>48086 Which pretty much matches the entire dynamic between the two. Shinji's the trickier bastard of the two, but Aizen manages to undercut him anyway because he's got the edge in terms of ability and simple cunning.
>>48088 and Infinite Plotkai Works
Next time, someone will completely destroy Aizen's body, but the Hogyoku just makes him a new one.
>>48103But it'll fail to restore his mind, and he'll just sit there drooling until they walk up and stab him to death.
Also comes with hollow Apache, Sun-sun and Mila Rose
http://mangastream.com/read/bleach/45759918/1Let me save you the trouble.BUTTERFLAIZEN carves Gin like a turkey.Ranginku, alive, goes to him.BUTTERFLAIZEN is now apparently MUCH stronger since even the school kid squad is starting to hit the ground.SUPER SAIYAN 3 ICHIGO SHOWS UP and he looks... not so different.
And so, Gin's entire purpose was to make Aizen actually feel fear for a second, thus making him more powerful.Fuck this series.
>>48210*sigh*I wonder what Kenpachi and Byakuya are doing.
>>48212Arguing about who has jurisdiction in Mexico.
FUCK THIS SHIT
Actually, Gin looks more likely to survive now. He lost an arm and got a big cut, but near bisection never killed anyone and Soifon is fine after losing her arm.
Kubo really seems to be driving home the point that ONLY Ichigo can defeat Aizen.Komamura? Sorry, Aizen's stronger.Shinji, Soifon, Kyoraku, and Hitsugaya? Almost got him, but saved by a last-second illusion.Yamamoto? Stronger than Aizen, but not as good a tactician, which costs him.Isshin, Yoruichi, and Urahara? Stronger than Aizen, but failed to account for the plot device in his chest saving him.Gin? Succeeded in surprising him, but Aizen is A BEAUTIFUL BUTTERFLY, which apparently trumps eveything.
>>48218Komamura couldn't even defeat Tousen, I don't think he was ever in the running to take down Aizen.
Man, When I see a chain wrap around someones ENTIRE ARM it's just one of those things that annoys me, YOU DON'T DO THAT, TRUST ME, That hurts, you wrap it around your hand and punch or whip with it.Then again applying real world stuff to Anime is never a good idea.
>>48210Kubo your timeline doesn't make any fucking sense!
>>48231Oh?
>>48234How could Aizen's douchebag cronies have stolen Urahara's hogyouku at that point? We know that Urahara still had it for like, a hundred years after that!
>>48235Oh, is THAT what they were doing?I thought they were just gathering souls for Aizen's copy.
>>48235No, that was Aizen's failed Hogyoku, which didn't work even when he tried to "offer" people to it (somehow) until he somehow combined his and Urahara's (or had his absorb Urahara's).
>>48241Then what was the deal with Gin trying to grab the Hogyouku and saying that he'd get back 'what they took' from Rangiku?
>>48242Either the one Aizen has is his (which he had absorb Urahara's after he stole it from Rukia's gigai), or it may refer to all the people Aizen killed trying to get it to work.
>>48242Clearly they took some of her powers for Aizen's Hogyoku which is now a part of Urahara's which is what Gin wants back.
>>48244And if it ate her (latent) shinigami powers, how did she later go on to not only become a shinigami, but a top-ranked Lieutenan
So, does /jam/ have any guesses on what the BBEG post-Aizen will be like? Ol' Sousuke unfortunately seems about done, but Kubo has said that two arcs remain before the end.
>>48246It depends on what you consider an arc. He also apparently said we'd be in a new arc by June (as in two months ago), meaning he considers Aizen going into the real Karakura Town the start of a new story arc.Hell, it's possible Deicide itself was one arc and the chapters after this one arc considered the last arc.Granted, I really hope it isn't; I don't hate Aizen but I don't like him being the sole driving force behind the plot and the series ending when he dies would completely solidify that.
>>48247No, he said new arc "by the middle of the year" (which this still is. The next arc would be a short transition arc, followed by a long finale arc.
>>48247In the context of shonen series, I consider an arc by their major antagonists. The SS arc had Byakuya and Aizen. Hueco Mundo arc had Ulquiorra and Aizen. Fake Karakura had Aizen by himself.
>>48254Baraggan might count for FK, too. He was the hardest opponent to defeat and gave the orders for about half of it.
http://mangastream.com/read/bleach/24565756/1On the last page, I found it really hard not to shout RARIATOOO!
>>48561I very NEARLY shouted FUCK YEAH right there at the end
>>48561>>48564Oh wait, page ordering error: that (the spread) wasn't supposed to be the last page, it was supposed to be the third to last page. It wasn't the start of the "single instant" Ichigo was claiming, but rather showing Ichigo shoving him across town in the first place.
>>48561Holy shit, a good chapter of Bleach.Cliche, but good.
So Ichigo took him to a Dragon Ball battlefield?
>>48561Aizen: If you are really Kurosaki Ichigo, then I am disheartened.
If this is really the final powerup that beats Aizen, then......good show, Kubo. Everyone thought it'd be a DEM after the Ulquiorra thing, but who knew it'd depend on the wonky time in the Dangai, something already established?Bet Aizen's wishing he hadn't killed that janitor now, eh?
I'm OK with this.
I may have mentioned this before, but now that the "final" battle is (hopefully) upon us, this needs to be re-said:I swear to god, if over the course of this battle, Aizen is revealed to have some sort of horrible past or bullshit reason for doing all the shit he does? As in, he's doing this for anything OTHER than "lol i trol u"?I am flying to Japan just to punch every atom in Kubo's stupid fucking body I swear to christ.
>>48586Don't doubt Kubo's "making-you-feel-sorry-for-villains" abilities.If nothing else, he's GREAT at that.
>>48595But I don't WANT to feel sorry for Aizen! I like Aizen (boy do I ever) because he's just a smarmy douchebag for the sake of being a smarmy douchebag! If I wanted to look at a smarmy douchebag with an interesting backstory, I'd go look at my Grimmjow folder!
Agreed. /b/tard Aizen is BEST Aizen.
So did Ichigo always have x-ray vision or is this somehow a new power?
>>48638He's abandoned any pretenses of being his own character and become a Superman spin-off.Superboy Beta or something.
>Aizen getting punched in the face
>>48638It's showing he finally learned to effectively sense spiritual pressure like potentially anyone spiritual attuned could do and he was really bad at it.Most likely it was a requirement of his training, and not a goal in of itself.
And now, it will be revealed that Aizen was trying to save the Soul Society from the real big bad of the series all along.
>>48669Well we still have an arc or so left, so maybe.
>>48669FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFYOU SHUT YOUR WHORE MOUTH
>>48670A transition arc and a full arc, to be precise.
>>48669The true enemy: The ass-pull bucket running out.
>>48671Search your heart nurse, you know it to be true...
>>48669Well, the court of the Spirit King and the Royal Guard haven't shown up yet...
>>48676;A; no... please... anything but that...
>>48669>>48671THERE'S A REASON THE TROLL IS NEVER THE HERO!
>>48708 Can you imagine it nurse? The perfect way to make all of this and Aizen's entire character COMPLETELY UNNECESSARY?
>>48714N-NO! IT'S TOO HORRIBLE! WHY WOULD YOU SAY THAT!?
>>48717Maybe you're right Nurse. I mean, there's no way Kubo would deliberately asspull such a nonsensical twist, right?
>>48719
>>48720 Yes Nurse, all of this will be revealed as nothing more but to train Ichigo to be able toInvade the royal dimension and fight the Spirit King.
>>48720Cheer up Nurse, at least we've got Baccano Season 2 to look forward to!(USER WAS BANNED FOR THIS POST)
>>48723I'm posting this for Nurse.
>>48723
>>48723Hey, that sounds like something Nurse would enjoy very mu-ooooohhhhhh.
>>48723 Look here mac, that other stuff was acceptable ribbing because nurse is a tough girl that can take it. This however doesn't give you an excuse to say shit no one wants to read.
On an unrelated note, face stab is now a face punch. But I bet you were expecting that, weren't you?
Oh, and instead of being cut clean in half, he stabs her and pulls the sword out sideways. So only half cut in half.
Rukia trying to avoid him by running between his legs just creates weird looking imagery.Dang, Kubo, your pacing. This episode is so full of flashbacks and padding that the actual content directly from 2 1/2 chapters feels like it's only a few minutes per chapter.
Bleachigo is the true villain. He will form the Ring of Power Royal Key using 100,000 souls from some nearby town, Bakakura, in order to enter the Royal House. There he will go double dog dare bankai hollow and assassinate the king in 20 chapters of "kill you in one move". After he will refuse to throw the crown into the fires of Mordor away which would finally allow there to be a true democracy in Soul Society. He himself becomes the King and bleaches the hair of every bro and bro-dette.From then on, BLEACH goes back to being a high school drama with occasional action scenes only interrupted when Ichigo has to suppress coups and bleed all over the fuck, which has become a hobby of his throughout the series.
>>48723............................;A;
>>48723>User was banned for this postI'm the culprit and I'm laughing anyway.ALSO FUCK WHY WILL THERE NEVER BE A BACCANO S2?
>>48735 Oh no I can think of something much worse. After Ichigo proves to be more powerful then Aizen, who was stronger than the all three of the soul society's military branches and kills him, the boy lives a mock arc back in Karakura picking up the pieces of what was his life and steadily making all the souls in his little town more spiritually powerful then humans are allowed by simply living in the area. Thus the Royal Guard leads what is left of the three branches and even Shinigami recruits in an invasion to cut off from the world of the living and BLEACH or cull the entire population of Karakura. What ensues is a terrible war as Ichigo watches his friends and family on both sides of mortality die left and right either by each other’s hands or his own, the area descends into a hell plagued by hallows eating the weak or the recently deceased, and it is all dragged out in the slowest pace Kubo can muster as it all takes place in several hundred mostly uneventful chapters. In the end its just the Substitute Soul Reaper and the Spirit King, locked in a duel that has them both ridiculously wounded and bleeding out on the battlefield for a good 20 mile red radius. I'm talking a small river of blood from these two alone. When Ichigo’s final blow is struck the Spirit King looks up to the boy and tells him this would have never happened if Aizen didn't pull his stupid rebellion and got them all to this level of spiritual pressure. He dematerializes and the BLEACH barrier falls leaving the boy alone in an urban ruin. The scene is flung decades later into the future as a group of fresh faced teens led by a spiritually sensitive young boy investigate the now infamous ghost town of Kararua. Looking to find any of the monsters locals claim to eat the souls of the living, they quickly find themselves in increasing danger until they are miraculously saved by a lone figure; the sole survivor and resident, raving mad old man Kurosaki.
>>48742I'd read it twice.
So, I'm catching up to you guys.I just met Nel and her brothers.I like Nel.
>>48753So, see you in like, 2 hours?
>>48753>I like Nel.You poor bastard.
>>48758You think he can read like 200 chapters in 2 hours?
>>48765200 pages of shounen, especially Bleach, is about 50% wordless 2 page action spreads.
>>48766Yes, we know that. We're not freaking idiots, we're just saying 200 chapters (not pages) = 2 hours is an exaggeration, especially when you consider the other 50% tends to be dense (often rambling) exposition. 200 chapters in 2 hours would be require reading a chapter every 36 seconds with no breaks.Even with a conservative estimate Bleach averages something like 2 minutes a chapter, which would make 200 chapters 6 hours and 40 minutes.
>>48768If you understand the "200 chapters (I thought it was pages) in two hours." thing is an exaggeration then what are you complaining about?
The dub of the New Captain Shūsuke Amagai arc has started playing on Cartoon Network every Saturday night.
Apparently we're having some kind of wacky filler.
http://mangastream.com/read/bleach/23917951/1!
>>48961Aizen really shouldn't be so surprised that Samurai>Butterfly. Also I like how he's entered into the Hysterical Gloating phase, because that's the surest sign of all that we're almost done with this shit.
>>48961It's the final showdown we all knew was coming. Seriously, the only reason I like this chapter is because it shows Aizen with a worried look on his face. I'm sick of that smug grin we've been forced to stare at for years.
Aizen, showing his support for legalizing it.
>>48967He talks like a guy that smokes to much in this chapter too. "What if, like, he has no spiritual pressure but he's like super strong, yeah man, that makes sense."
>>48969What? I thought that was a clearly phrased analysis. Only thing dumb about it was the lack of genre savvy, since no power in Bleach these days works in a way that fits the initial theory.Other thoughts:-Man, Aizen's current design really is just lame, and this coming from "Mr. Positive". Maybe Kubo's saving a better one for his next form.-Ichigo's new look is also rarely working for me, though it did kinda click in that very last panel. I think it's mainly that when Kubo puts relatively little effort into his art, it shines when his characters are being spirited and expressive- not grim/dramatic.-what is agglutination I don't even (Though really, from what I understand, Aizen's always had an evil-genius-research-scientist side to his dialogue that shows ever now and then (and which fan translators don't always manage to convey). Mangastream's translators tend to have awesome woolseyisms, forsooth, so my bet is that Aizen's japanese dialogue there was just as baffling.)
>>48971Agglutination means being stuck together. He's talking about how both of their hands have been attached to their zanpakuto; Ichigo's by a chain and Aizen's has sort of fuse with his hand.
...I am REALLY digging Ichigo's new look right now. I'm beginning to think the reason Tite made Butterflaizen look so stupid is to accentuate how fucking cool Ichigo looks.
>>48971Totally ditching spiritual pressure for raw physical strength? Since when the hell was that possible in Bleach? What other character has done this, when has this been established? Seems like kind of an ass pull.
>>48975Isn't converting spiritual pressure into physical force or some other object what it's usually used for? Like how Kenpachi made those shockwaves that could slice up buildings.Hell, all of Kido seems to be based on converting spiritual pressure into damn near anything.Anyway, like Dagda stated, that's probably not how it actually worked and Aizen is just guessing that since Ichigo suddenly lost his spiritual pressure but gained physical abilities he must have converted one into another. He even stated he didn't know how.
>>48975Eh, he never used spells anyways.
Hm, I noticed the chain right away, but now I notice that the crossguard got bigger.
>>48971> "Mr. Positive"> Believes Aizen will gets ANOTHER FUCKING FORMNO SIR.
>>48987Ichigo is winning "to easily" right now, so of course Aizen will get another form, so Ichigo can baaaarely pull out a win.
I kinda hope he pulls out the new form and Ichigo's like "What bitch? Like we didn't all see that coming? Check THIS SHIT OUT" and then he'll don his hollow Mask and release his sword and continue mercilessly out doing Aizen at every turn.
>>48994Hey, Aizen needs something to make this fight more even, but it could just be bankai.
>>48977>that's probably not how it actually worked and Aizen is just guessing that since Ichigo suddenly lost his spiritual pressure but gained physical abilities he must have converted one into anotherYeah, I know, my point is that Aizen's theory so out of left field he isn't even in the ballpark anymore, he's sitting out on a bench in the parking lot waiting for his mom to drive him home. Also, nothing even close to what Aizen guessed has happened before in Bleach, every time a character has been uber in Bleach is because "ZOMG his Spiritual Pressure is so strong!" Even Kenpachi is always credited for his spiritual pressure and all he does is break things with his sword, same with another "powerhouse" character like Chad has been credited due to his "mystery power".
Cloud Strife, what are you doing in my BLEACH? Gamma Akutabi is gonna lose this fight bad, isn't he? All of us have seen Advent Children. Shit just got real.
>>49011>All of us have seen Advent Children.wut
>>49008To be fair, when you see a guy that's absurdly strong physically and also see that his spiritual power is GONE, it's not too big a leap to guess that they're connected.
>>49011Cloud was exactly what popped into my head with that last panel.
>>49016 Yeah its just weird how this may answer the question of if you can have zero spiritual pressure. I'll laugh if this turns into like INSTANT POWER CONVERSION/INFINITE AMMO to make him have a more broken god mode to trump King Asspull.
>>49016Good thing I've read shounen before and know a thing or two about power suppression, also Ichigo's claim to fame was his ridiculous fluctuating spiritual presence. Why in the hell would Aizen think Ichigo would ditch the one thing that made him unique? This kind of looks like the old "villain goes full retard before he dies" that shounens like to pull.
What I'm seeing: Aizen losing his shit as everyone expected him to eventually. What I'd hoped for: Aizen to keep on being smug and just-as-planned, as if HIM getting power was never truly his master plan. What I'm hoping for now: Ichigo defeats Aizen, but before he does, he says 'Oh, and one more thing...who says I'm Ichigo?' And it turns out he lost his inner battle and now it's his powers in the driving seat, and now ICHIGO wants to become king, and the last arc is everyone trying to stop HIM.One can dream...
>>49021-His claim to fame was that he wasn't doing anything PRODUCTIVE with that spiritual pressure, just letting it leak out. -His bankai's already been doing something very similar, condensing his power and channeling it into enhanced speed.-Shounen series always have some guy who opts to forego magic abilities in favor of a straight-up physical boost- hell, a literal example's been tearing up the place in Naruto for several chapters.I really don't get why a few of you are treating the concept like it's some crazy bizarro theory.
I assumed he was just burning it up as soon as it regenerated basically.
Can someone refresh my memory as to what happened to Suavlips (Grimmjow)?
>>49075;~;
>>49076 Can we go a week without someone making nurse cry?
>>49082But it's so easy. It's also fun to make her rage.GRIMM JOW IS DEEEEEAAAAAD
>>49075Well, after Ichigo gave him massive damage, they're all "we're done here let's blow this joint" and he's all "NO COME BACK I WILL DESTROY YOU" and then suddenly....GIANT SCYTHE THING! And Nnoitra's all "TROLOLOLO".He could still be alive, to be honest. It's never confirmed that he bit the dust right there.
>>49087Even if he isn't dead he's bitch-status like Renji or Ishida are now.
>>49091Man, fuck Nnoitra.
>>49093So...Vegeta -> GrimmjowTien -> RenjiChiaotzu -> RukiaPiccolo -> IshidaKrillian -> ChadBulma -> OrihimeWe just need a few more people to align directly with Ichigo to complete the Z-squad.
>>49104Yajirobi -> Don KanonjiOr he more of a Hercule? Also>Yamcha -> ChadThere, that's more accurate and sad.
>>49105 I'd definatly say he's a Hercule/Satan, with that low powerlevel and sense of showmanship, and having lots of mundane fans.
>>48742Thanks for saving us from those creeps in the white masks! I'm just surprised my sword trap didn't work. Ah well, thanks again for your help Mr... Sorry I didn't get your name.
>>47265>>49116Why the frell does Scooby Doo gel so well with Bleach?
>>49122Because the ghost is here, it's our frightening task to face our fears, and the creep in the mask.
>>49105Nah, Chad isn't Yamcha. He still shows up and takes out one of the bad guys. Plus, he's the strongest human fighter (whereas everyone else is a shinigami/hollow/whatever.
>>49128So he's Krillin.
I'm not sure what people are confused about here... I mean Hitsugaya's bankai has been repeatedly stated to be immature/incomplete and he's had decades of practice, while Ichigo's just had like a week. It would make less sense if the Tensa Zangetsu we've seen for most of the series -was- complete, as opposed to still being in a semi-sealed state. Also, we've known that TZ's ability was reiatsu compression ever since Ichigo used it against Byakuya. It's okay if you forgot though, because I'm pretty sure Ichigo did as well. I'm not sure but I think that when becoming a full-fledged Vizard gave Ichigo shitloads more power, he confused 'compress reiatsu to boost speed and physical attributes' with 'spam Getsuga Tenshou'. Throughout the Hueco Mundo arc he was pretty much fighting like a tool, and it wasn't until Tensa Zangetsu smacked some sense into him that he got his head in the game. Thus his true power comes not from his absurd amount of energy, but the fact that that energy is disciplined. I'd say that he's become a singularity of reiatsu, it's so tightly controlled that none of it is released to form spiritual pressure. And since he probably defeated Shirosaki once and for all, he has way more power to draw on....Of course, having no 'aura' would also make him pretty stealthy, and make you wonder why he didn't/doesn't just stab Aizen through the head... but he's still a shounen protagonist after all.
>>49116 As glad as I am that someone finally made the Scooby joke I'm sad no one picked up the "Before the final blow was struck-Flung into the future" part.
Dat shaggy haired Ichigo...Unf.
>>49075He's so not dead, it's not even funny.>Noitora hits him once. Noitora then goes to deal the final blow! Ichigo blocks! And that right there was the last we ever saw him, I believe.
>>49135 Oh he isn't dead. Kubo just forgot he existed. He's basically this series's launch.
>>49135Ok, he's alive, explain what possible use he could have to the ongoing plot? He's topped out power wise, at least the shinigami have the excuse of "unused bankai techs/tech they haven't learned" to buff their power levels and Ichigo's friends have various power ups they can learn and unlock. Arranacar power levels are set in stone though. The only thing GJ can do is sacrifice himself, become a joke character/hanger-on for Ichigo, or best option yet, be completely forgotten.
>>49138 HahaIf Kubo really wanted to use him again he'd just pull something out his ass to power him up like everyone else does
>>49139Though honestly, does Ichigo need another rival that he completely outclasses in every way?
>>48973Ju-Ni decided to just explain it in simple terms rather than use an esoteric word.
So I guess the filler episode was to celebrate 10 years of Bleach.
>>49150I don't keep up with Bleach, why is their hair now longer?
>>49154He spent some time in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber.
>>49154Because power makes your hair grow longer.
>>49158As does lacking a haircut for several months (a result of lacking both a barber and the desire to learn how to cut hair with a sword).
>>49157It took me forever to figure out that it's called the Hyperbolic Time Chamber because it EXAGGERATES the flow of time.
>>49150 ..Ugh, that just looks terrible, especially mullet Aizen.
>>49138>explain what possible use he could have to the ongoing plot? First, do you really think that's a metric Kubo pays much attention to?Second, my personal theory is still that we'll be seeing an arc where the antagonist is a fallen Ichigo. Like many other characters who've been struggling to stay in the limelight, Grimmjow would have a vested interest in getting him back to his old self.
>>49160Is that how it was meant? I thought it was a play on "Metabolic," like that it made your personal time go faster be making your metabolism hyperactive. Your idea works better.
>>49160Oh wow, you just blew my mind.
They had him stuffed!
>>49180Komamura!...Damn that Yama-ji statue looks hot.
I... But... No you're not tricking me into watching you Bleach, never again! I may not be able to quit the manga but I've been able to cold turkey the anime!
>>49204...Dammit, Hal, stop trying to get me into the anime again!
What the glowing fuck Aizen
Seriously what the shining, scintillating fuck
>>49213YES. NIGHTMARE FUEL. SIGN MY ASS UP.
>>49194It must be the long flowing hair.
>>49213 Giant enemy huh? Been there, done that.
>>49217EVIL OVERLORD RULE 34! Do not turn into a snake! It never helps!
>>49213He.....sorta looks like a 90's Spawn villain.
>>49215
