What does /jam/ think of Bakuman?
It's good, but it needs more gags.
>>44369OH FUCK YOU
>>44369DAMMIT MIURA GORO! GET YOUR FAT ASS OUR OF HERE! GAGS ARE NOT THE ANSWER FOOL!
>>44373>Yelling at an editor>"GET YOUR FAT ASS OUR OF HERE"
Damn good series, bad the weird love triangle/square going on in the Chapter 60's.
>>44375He was a roly-poly fun bag.
>>44377I was making a joke about you insulting an editor with a post that had a typo.
>>44378Wait what typ- OH DAMMIT THERE IT IS, FUCK!
Only interesting when talking about the industry, otherwise it just thinks it's being clever.
Just read the first chapter, as my bro has been asking me to read it for the past year. I'm lovin' it!
>>44369I dunno about that
>>44443
>>44444>/jam/Death is imminent.
Hiramaru is the best character creating the best series.
>>44505>Otters 11>GoodNo
>>44506GTFO Crowfag
Crow > Otters Eleven > Natural = Green Leaves >>>>>>> Kiyoshit
>>44514>Green Leaves>Generic romance crap>On par with Natural+
It's entertaining enough to keep me reading it.I mean, The Perfect Crime Club seems like a stupid series and the writer's gonna have to do more to make me believe it's going to be able to compete with Mai Husbando Eiji.Pic sort of unrelated
Perfect Crime Club keeps reminding me of this.

>>44548Agreed, after the kiddie shit they pulled with Run, Daihatsu Tanto! does Muto Ashirogi even remember how to make a decent story?
>>44693
>>44693PCPThis won't end well.

>chapter 91>MY FUCKING FACE
What the fuck is this.
What the double fuck is this.Gee, I'd like to read this series but apparently my vagina will get in the way. Welp, that's just too bad.
>>45025A poor way of phrasing "stupid girls are bad, but a smart girl who is a bitch is no better."
>>45025>>45026Incidentally, meet the writer.
>>45027Being proud of having good grades makes you a bitch? Do tell.
>>45029No, being arrogant makes you a bitch. Iwase is an incredibly arrogant character.
>>45028The writer whose gender is not stated and who uses a gender-neutral silhouette? Gosh. And even if the author were a female, a pair of ovaries don't suddenly grant her a get-out-of-responsibility-for-sexist-bullshit-free card, despite what you may have heard.
>>45030See, I just am getting the impression that this manga is saying if you're a girl, you should have the "ability to sense that being too smart isn't cute."No wait, that was a direct quote.
Iwase is one of the most disgusting characters in the series. She starts a bitch and has pretty much stayed that way.On the other hand we've got, say, Aoki, who starts off pretty fucking frigid, but has gotten much friendlier.Contrast Aoki's partner, a guy who starts out a hardworking and honest artist and becomes a huge bastard before eventually saying "fuck it" and going back home to work the family farm in penance for his bastard.
>>45032All that says is that a lot of men are turned off by smart women, which is sadly true. The heroes (you know, the ones whose opinions we're supposed to give a shit about) are not of that mold. You know, as stated ON THE EXACT FUCKING PAGE YOU POSTED. >She's smart, that's why she's so appealing.
Seriously, femanon, keep reading. That "the fact that she's proud of it is repulsive" was either poorly phrased or mistranslated. Iwase isn't proud, she's arrogant to the point of...y'know, being repulsive. I'd show you a page of what I mean, but it'd be spoilers, so basically I'll sum it up; she spends all of a dozen chapters trying to hit on her boss, who's in his 30s maybe. Wearing short skirts, getting in his face and asking what he thought of her perfume, etc. He blows her off completely. She gets a new, younger boss, maybe early 20s, who's pretty chubby, and he says something like, "Even if it is just business, Iwase...it's sorta nice hanging out with a pretty girl like you."She slams her hand down on the table in a public cafe, and flips the fuck out. "ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME? GET REAL, ONE MORE COMMENT LIKE THAT AND I'LL SUE YOU FOR SEXUAL HARASSMENT."She's a cunt. It's repulsive. And as for the "Men have dreams that women can't understand," that was said by a 70-80 year old man. People that old are sexist/racist/trolls, it's the type of thing they'd say.
>>45034Um, no? They like her and think she's smart because she purposefully cripples herself academically to make herself appealing to the boys in her class. That's not smart, that's fucking retarded. And the heroes approve of it. They are exactly of that mold.>>45035No, it was said by the father. Still, that can be chalked up to lol japan.I am probably going to give this series another chance, though. You get a lot of fuckitry like this in anime and manga because, you know, lol japan, but usually it's spaced far enough apart that my bullshit meter doesn't go over my tolerance mark. Two examples within ten pages maxed me out. As long as that's the last of it for a while and it keeps the rest of the blatant misogyny far enough apart, I can probably enjoy it well enough.
>>45051I wouldn't say she "cripples herself academically," she just doesn't come off as a show-off bitchcunt like Iwase. She does well on all of her tests that the series shows and whatnot, so she's not playing up ditzyness or anything. She's just not acting so smart that no one will like her. Which is a smart thing to do.But yeah, sorry, I haven't read the earlier chapters since the first time I read them, thought it was the gramps who said that. I seem to recall him saying something to a similar effect, maybe that happens later. And later on, they meet a girl who's pretty much the second bro-iest bro in the series, so it's not like they're trying to cast women in a negative light or anything. Probably.
HE'S THE BROIEST OF BROS
>>45443I originally thought Niizuma was going to be the annoying rival character. I'M SO HAPPY I WAS WRONG. Hiramaru is still THE BEST though.
>>45448Hiramaru is hilarious, but Niizuma is just rad as hell. This chapter in general made me grin like a little girl for little girl reasons though. So good.
>>45443For all the good that this chapter is, I'm glad it's only one chapter as opposed to an entire arc. I know other manga would take contrived drama and stretch it out for chapters and chapters and chapters; Bakuman did that like once or twice (the marriage thing, the pre-Trap drama arc) but generally all the drama is brought up and resolved in a few panels. Things like where Hattori's says "Am I a good editor for these kids" [dun dun cliffhanger] and Miura's like "Shit yeah you are" and Hattori's like "Oh Ok then". I'm glad for that kind of pacing because it's like the author saying "Yeah, we know you hate this, let's throw it in there and subvert the shit out of it".
Eugh, if Eiji doens't think PCP is very good they're screwed. Seriously.Although good on you Iwase
I finally figured out what the style that Obata uses for Bakuman reminds me of:The Simpsons.
>>47309I began wondering how a person could be so insane. Then I looked at Niizuma in the OP's image.Fuck.
God I love that kid.
Fuck you, Tsugumi Ohba. Fuck you and your cliffhangers. Fuck you with sandpaper.I love you so much never ever change please <3
I can't decide if this is interesting or really boring.
>>48686It certainly has its slow points, but it's easily one of my favorite manga currently.
Guys, uh...Can someone confirm that it wasn't just me who was giggling like a little girl all the way through 99?
