Hey /draw/,I'm looking for a wee bit of advice for this piece here.Don't mind the halfassery, it's merely the rough.Anyways, I'm trying to draw the cape for this but, I realized, I'm no good with cloth.I'm trying to draw the cape as if he were walking just now and flowing slightly behind him.I've only outlined where it should be for now.I was hoping you guys could help by pointing me in the direction of some decent tutorials and/or resources for this kinda thing, as well as letting me know how you do it.Thank you in advance.
Oh also, I'd like to know what you think so far. This is one in a small series of images I'm doing with a writefag friend of mine.
Your BFF is references. But anyways, capes don't usually flare out like that. They kinda just hang down, with the occasional crease. Unless there's wind, which then, depending on how strong the wind is, might be lifted a bit/completely up in the air.
