The Sheep are chosen people who have been effectively chosen to die, but it takes time for it to happen, which is why Vincent is only in his boxers and has horns in his dream. All the people who become sheep in the dream will eventually die, and soon. The first person to die is the falling sheep we see at the start, he is also the person who is featured in the news report on the "loney man's death". This game will focus on Vincent trying to escape which will somehow involve Catherine, most likely a deal with the devil sort of scenario, maybe the deal is that if he doesn't want to die Catherine will make his girlfriend into a man.

Catherine of course will somehow be involved, maybe making the whole sheep thing happen. The succubus theory could play in here as well, maybe somewhere in the dream-sheep transformation process she visits the victim, offering the victim the choice of satisfying her until she gets bored of him (Talking sores and absolutely empty balls here) and staying alive or giving him the woman of his dreams but making her a man, hell it's more likely to be both considering Vincent has allready been confirmed to fuck her, unless it's a split story path.

I had a dream last night that Catherine was Persona 5, except it had nothing to do with what was advertised. It was about a fat kid who got stuck on the internet in his avatar's form (a la .hack//SIGN), finds out some conspiracy about a girl who's also stuck on the internet, but it turns out she's fat in real life as well.

Also something about a yellow duck he has to retrieve a message from but is unable to because there are a lot of yellow ducks scattered about there.

It is, seriously, the most fun fucking thing on the planet. It's so insane when you think about it. I mean, the whole Adachi is the killer thing doesn't come out of nowhere. There are hints and lines ("I'm the smartest guy in the precint!" that should have tipped people off, but all that information is presented so casually that you'd never even NOTICE it.

Seriously, Adachi, you are such an asshole but you are the most awesome asshole on the planet.

My second playthrough, a chill ran down my spine every time Adachi was on the screen.

General consensus for P4 seems to be "P3 has a better story, but P4 has better characters." And... yeah, that sounds about right to my ears. P4's storyline is still good, but the people in the game are what really make it.

The thing about P4's story is that it has a few too many red herrings and plot twists and not all of them really make much sense or are that fulfilling.

There's two "murderers" in the whole of the story. The second one kills a rather unlikable character and he himself isn't that compelling of a character. The guy who you're basically chasing down for most of the game turns out to not be a murderer at all and the REAL killer technically only kills two people at the beginning of the game. Admittedly the fact he's basically playing ya'll for chumps throughout the year is kinda enough reason for you to hate him, but as far as antagonists go he doesn't really do anything throughout the game more than "YOU CAN'T CATCH ME! NEENER NEENER NEEEENER!" at least when you're aware of who he is.

Not to mention the REAL orchestrator of events comes right out of left field, expects us to take her as some terrifying omnipotent force and only really seems to be a passive, destructive force. Not to mention you beat her because of THE POWER OF FRIENDSHIP and BECAUSE YOU BELIEVE IN YOURSELF and because of that you can LEVEL UP TO SUPER SAYAN 3 and then defeat her due to deus ex machina beam and- yea it's just real hammey is all I'm saying.

But yea. Characters really save P4.

Yosuke = Kinda annoying at times but nice none the less.
Chie = Again. Kinda annoying but pretty nice.
Yukiko = Meh.
Kanji = Total. Fucking. Bro.
Rise = D'aawwwww
Teddie = He's... definitely something. I mean his voice is pretty good when he's in his bear costume. But then you see his human form and... well you just kinda sit there going "lol whut".
Naoto = HHHNNNNNGGGGGG.

I won't get into the Slinks but I will say they were memorable in their own right for the most part.

I think if P4 had ended with Adachi, had made the whole build-up to Ameno Saigiri more climatic, it wouldn't be such an issue. But yeah, the POWER OF FRIENDSHIP bullshit was always hammy, but it just seemed even worse in P4. Izanami herself was never really that threatening either.

Rise is probably one of my favorite SMT characters.
