So there's this thread on /co/, that's probably going to die soon, and it's where the idea of a Batman and Robin radio drama or something could be made, using our /co/mrades as the actors. Auditions are up in that thread, but I thought the OP might like something a little more permanent for his project, so I made this.

And if the OP perchance, doesn't see this, I think the rest of us posting in this thread could try to still /co/llaborate something.

Hi! I'm an actor and director.
I've been the whiny Anon trying to help people with their auditions and I did a Scarecrow voice (Not realizing that he hasn't made an appearance.)

I'd love to help out when it comes to delivery, direction, etc.
While I do love to act the most, I don't like my voice in this sort of thing so I may not act as much.

Oh hey, I just wanted to say thank you for helping me out with my Pyg voice.

Hey, I'm the Toad that did these:

Aside from annunciating on the third one, any other hints? I've never done anything like this before, but I'd love to be in on a /co/lab.

Haha! Don't sweat it. I'm already in the mode because we're in the middle of putting together a few shows.
This is a project I'd really like to get involved with.
That thread caused me to pick up the comic and I read him in your voice BTW.

All I can really do is encourage you to try different things. Normally a character develops organically through rehearsal and interaction with others.
Since you don't really have that luxury I'd just recommend doing many, many takes and seeing how it develops. Delivery-wise? It's pretty sound.
I'll be gone for a bit but if you want to work some later, I'll be up for it.

This was my Dick Grayson. The speech is not from Batman and Robin, but I feel it captures Dick's character really well.

You! I remember you.

You're my voice doppelganger.

Really? My own voice clone? That's awesome, though you got me licked when it comes to Pyg.

I'm sure you could do it to, if you just believe.

I want you to adopt a sinister tone and read for Red Hood real quick. Just whenever you get the chance, Anon.

Here's my attempt at Jason/Red Hood. The dialogue is from BAR #4, when Jason is talking to Sasha, though this audition is sans Sasha. I tried giving him two voices for different situations. The deeper, more gravelly voice is for when Jason is speaking as the Red Hood. The quicker-paced voice is for more intimate conversations with characters like Dick or Sasha.

Oh yeah. Definitely feeling Jason more from you, Anon. I like it a lot.

I wonder if the original OP is here or not, though? If not, I think we can take the reigns.

I'm glad you like it Penance.

Maybe we should give the OP of the original thread another chance to see what we've been doing. We can start a new thread tomorrow around the same time as the first to try and find him/her. It'd also hopefully bring in some new voices.

Speaking of, here's a list of main roles from issues 1-12. There's probably some I'm missing, so just add if I missed anything.

That's a really good Jason.

No.28802
>>28800
Thanks. I always figured Jason had a kind of shrewish voice. I thought it would be sorta humorous compared to his more serious Red Hood voice. I used the idea of the Monarch from Venture Bros imitating Christian Bale's Batman voice for inspiration.

I started another thread on /co/ today, but there were no takers. So if we want to continue this project, we should decide where we take it from here.

I'll be throwing my hat into the ring, though I don't know if my voice would really fit any of these characters.

No.28835

It doesn't have to be perfect. None of us are professionals. Just read something that can show off your voice.

If you prefer to not sample your voice, we could always use some help on getting more people in on this.

I vaguely remember Scarlet (or her father) being European, but I can't find the issue. Would she have some kind of accent, or no?

No.28858
>>28857
Eastern European. Her use of Papa seems to imply she might have an accent (Don't ask me why, but in written material saying "Papa" always seems to mean European accent.) Think Gypsy.

No.28859
>>28857
Yes, she would. Her guardians brought her to Gotham for a new life there so take that as you will.

No.28860
You think that there might be a slight change post operation for Sasha? I'd say give it a try and experiment.
