So what's the most involved dish you've ever made?

For me, I'd say it's a tie between a buche de noel, and a raspberry and chocolate Bavarian cake. The Bavarian was more involved, but the buche de noel was trickier to put together.

Chicken and dumplings served on a bed of wild rice.

It turned out OK.

I feel incredibly inadequate compared to you.

Bread?

I am a lazy cook.

Well, shucks. ^_^;
Don't feel bad though. Most of my cooking mojo lies in baked goods/desserts, and I basically suck at free-styling. If I don't have a recipe, gods only know how the dish will turn out.

Barbecued chicken. I'm... not a terribly skilled cook.

Uh. Pie?

I made some sort of cheese and broccoli soup once. It was pretty good. After that, the closest thing is maybe french toast. Neither of these are really hard though.

I have trouble with French Toast. I can't seem to get consistent results, and they're never as good as they should be.

Don't be too hard on yourself. My french toast always ends up like regular fried eggs stuck to some bread.

i'm told that stews are hard but I've had no difficulty--beef bourginon, gumbo, that kind of thing.

which kinds do you guys like the most?

i really wish i had the money to make a super fancy one full of crabs and stuff. I generally resort to chicken and greek sausage

I'm not too picky, since most anything goes well in gumbo. Though one combo I'm rather fond of is crawfish, mussels, and spicy sausage.

Spicy sausage chicken and shrimp.

The only time I get gumbo is during fat Tuesday. ):

some people don't use okra but instead use some silly thing called filé powder.

those people are haters.

i'm glad you're not a hater.

This isn't a single dish but I've cooked the majority of a Thanksgiving dinner. Brined dat turkey like it was Aquaman.

Single dish... uhh... uhh... OH! The "ratatouille" from the movie Ratatouille.

This looks like the recipe.
