Sage Hoge: Hey, Pym, make a thread on /baw/ about having a South Cali meet-up at Disneyland!Me: You mean SoCal? Sage Hoge: I SAID South Cali, didn't I?Jonix and Luke: Gator Land Gator Land Gator Land Gator Land Gator Land Gator Land Gator Land Gator Land Gator Land Gator Land Gator LandSage Hoge: PYM! Make a a thread on /baw/ about a South Cali meet-up at Knotts Berry Farm, because Disneyland is sixty dollars to get in!Jonix: Hey Luke, let's make a meet-up in SOFLO at GATOR LAND!
>mfw Pym is Sagehoge's slave
>>268153Racist.
GATOR LAND IS.
I'm in.
If you could wait until mid-november, I would be up for it.
>>268167And miss both Knott's Scary Farm and Knott's Merry Farm?
>yfw TMC is at Knotts, waiting for you
I think I'm up for it
Really? A chance to meet the people I spend more time talking to than the people I know in real life? AND go to an amusement park I've always wanted to go to but never had the chance? I'm in like Flynn, baby!
Ah finally, a chance to have sex with a large group of men meet more of you weirdos in person. Just name some dates.
I thought Luke lived in New York or some shit.
Dude Knotts Berry Farm blows.
>>268202Sssshhh you'll spoil it with your trufax. Joe Cool called. He says you're a hater. I wanna go to Space Mountain goddammit.
>>268258I went there with a Danish bro on a roadtrip. We were all pumped. Clearly anything with Snoopy involved was pretty cool, and anything with Joe Cool involved was legit and No really you guys Knotts BErry Farm sucks and it's in the middle of nowhere suburbs you might as well hang out at the McDonald's with the train, you'll have a better time.
>>268259That fucking Snoop. He's to Mickey as Sonic is to Mariodickcheese. That guy probably smokes blunts for breakfast. Yeah when I went there, I was surprised at how much nothing there was to do. I walked around a lot and fantasizes about more serious amusement parks. Not sure if it was worth the price. Cash was shit.
No one wants to come to Florida. I do not blame them.
For the record, I am down for Magic Mountain, Knotts Berry Farm was suggested for the price. When would be the best time for everyone to chill with the bros?
I had an idea. we can have TWO meet-ups, one at Scary Farm, and one at Magic Mountain in November (Where a year-long pass casts the same as a regular ticket, irc). Just an idea.
>>268259That's why you go to Scary Farm. Derp.>>268298Hello, Horror Nights and cheaper plane tickets than LA County? I'd gladly go to Florida if I could afford it.
>>268386o ok.Don't mind the wall of piss that hits your tongue the moment you step out of the terminal. That's what we call "air" here.
>>268391I've been to Florida before. It's like New England in the summer time, only all year. But I'm from a place full of swamps too, so I totally know how it feels.
>>268298All the good parts about LA without the pollution? I love Flordia. I just live on the opposite side of the country.
>>268400Ye gods. When I was in Disney World in 1997, it was winter. Floridian Winter felt worse than Maine Summer, by a long shot. SO. FUCKING. HUMID.Jesus christ how do you people live there. I can't tan at all here but when I came back from Florida after 2 weeks I was the brownest kid within two counties.
>>268411Maine is practically Canada. We had temperatures higher than Florida with twice the humidity on quite a few days this year. :)
>>268201No, I live in Orlando. >>268298I don't either. Florida is a state full of crazy, crazy people.
>>268411Lots of drinking and deodorant, mostly.Every Floridian has boxes of deodorant under their bed.Boxes and boxes of deodorant.
>>268453>lots of drinking>Florida survivalno am surprise
>>268453Yup.Everytime I run out, I have to make sure I have two more cases. On a really hot day it won't matter, and you'll sweat and stink no matter how much you wash. Luckily there's air conditioning for those days.
We need an East Coast meetup.
>>268498I was talking with Jonix about a nice cheap Florida meet up, and suggested some of the cheaper stuff around Orlando, but that would imply people would want to go to Florida. And I think most Floridian Anons, Names, and Trips live on the outer edges of the state as is, and I think most Eastern Plus4channers live in the New England area and the Carolinas. But an East Coast meet-up would be nice.
>>268509Are there any big cons this side of the country? There's always PAX East, but I think going to Boston might be out of range for most people.
>>268512Depends on the kind of con.
So, California Bros, West coast fags, and anyone else that wants to check it out, and see what's it all about, what are some days this year (I'm thinking September - November) you guys want to meet-up, and where do you think you wanna do this thing?Knotts, Magic Mountain, Universal Studios, Disneyland, etc?Let's place those votes, so we can do this. We'll make it happen.
I like disney land cause I have front of the line passes with my girlfriend. But then, I won't really be hanging out with you freaks... I'll be cutting you in line with my gf lol.
my vote goes to party boat in international waters
Why don't we just meet in the middle? Iowa-ish? We can have a rave in a corn field and drink lots of cheap beer tainted with roofies after telling our parents we're going to study and having lots of premarital sex and
I almost feel bad saying this but Universal Studios may be better for socializing because a lot of the entertainment is designed for large groups of people to enjoy at the same time.Let me think about this and I'll make a vote.
>>268544oh shi- magic mountain only costs UCSD students 25 bucks ok i vote that shit because i'm selfish.>>268536where are we going to get a boat?
>>268546 >boatWe'll manage something.
>>268607YOU'D BETTER COME OUT AND PLAY THIS TIME KOSH OR YOU'RE GOING TO BE HELPING US MAKE THIS BOAT HAPPEN.jpg
I gotta bump this shit so more Califags can weigh in with their votes/opinions.Also, a date people, we need to set a date.
But Knotts Berry Farm sucks!I say we all meet up in Vegas.
>>268676I can do this too.
>>268676Vegas is a long drive. Universal Studios or Magic Mountain might be better.
I say we go to Six Flags.
Oh Right. Pesimo/Troy told me by text that he was down for Six Flags Magic Mountain.Seems like we have some interest building.
there is no way I can get to magic mountain unless we plan for something like thanksgiving break or winter break
>>268912Sure, I'd be up for that! Not too far from mi casa. Comrade, you're a Central Valley Person too, right? Fresno area?
>>268987yep. So Magic Mountain is less than three hours from where I live. tbh I probably won't be able to make it, but I'll definitely give it a shot.
I don't know if I'm popular enough to get a vote, but I like the idea of going to knotts scary farm on account of it's a half hour away from where I live and is relatively cheap. They also have REALLY excellent funnel cakes, for what it's worth.
>>269069Does Joe Cool dress up? Is it actually scary? Am I allowed to hide in corners and pop out and scare children?
>>269073They have a bunch of separate teams working on various haunted house type attractions, each with a different "theme," like vampires or victorian England or outer space. Some are genuinely scary, some are pretty clever, others are lame. It's just something to do in addition to their admittedly limited selection of rides. They won't let you in if you're wearing a costume, though, which sort of spoils the fun if you ask me. I don't know about being able to scare small children, as they discourage people from bringing kids under 13 to the after dark events. As for Joe Cool, I don't think I saw any mascots last time I was there; the only folks I saw dressed up were the seasonal workers running around scaring high school girls. Pretty amusing, actually.
>>269076http://www.knotts.com/public/park/haunt/halloween_haunt.cfmif anyone's interested, have some info.:I
>>269076>Won't let you in if you're in a costumeDefine "costume"
>>269341Something a person doesn't wear unless it's a holiday or they're a complete and utter asshole, everyday.
>>269342Lame. Then again I guess it's probably a safety thing for the rides. Don't want some kid getting decapitated because his Dracula cape gets caught in something on a rollercoaster.
>>269355Plus dressing in drag is fucking creepy as shit.
>>269415not if you don't know they're in drag. :X
>>269320>Knott's Scary: $50, $56>Disney: $60>Six Flags: $39Hmmm.
>>269418The majority of them, you know they're crossdressing. Because they'll have five o-clock shadow, prominent adams apples and faces like pigs. And they'll still strike 'model' poses and purse lips like they're having a glamor shot.I'm not gonna lie, I'm a bit irate. Years ago there was one in a local toys'r'us following a few young boys around. Was like watching a jack-ass try to be a halflinger mare.Don't care who you are or your orientation. Dressing to be obnoxious and acting creepy is annoying.
>>269424If I shave and do my makeup and hair right I look pretty damn girly. I could pass...albeit as an ugly butch lesbian. :x
>>269424Ram, get out of here, we're talking about a meet up in SoCal, not cross-dressers!Like every other thread on /baw/ is about crossdressers, secretly, post in them.
>>269502Your face is a crossdresser.
>>269558>>269502RAM GET OUT. I'M PISS. Also, prices alone dictate that we should check out Sechs Flaggen. Also, I look forward to hopefully meeting some of you people who didn't make it to Comic-Con. TD, comrade, Max, TMC, Anthro, KOSH YOU SON OF A BITCH YOU LIVE LIKE NEXT DOOR.Just as a reminder, if we do end up waiting until November, tooth should be able to join us.
>>269422I don't know where you're getting those numbers, but Knotts Scary Farm is 35 bucks most days. It's only as high as 50 of you absolutely need to go on the 16th or the 23rd.
>>269589Got it from their website.
>>269590Well, here's the website I'm lookin' at.
>>269595Eh, those were the prices for Knott's Scary when I looked yesterday. Those are all pre-order prices that you're looking at.
I hate going up to LA, the traffic is bad and the people are fake. Take the party south to San Diego and we could go to Del Mar race track, legoland, the wild animal park (great Segway tours), sea world, or Tj.
>>269723Why the fuck would we go to Del Mar? That shit is only good during the fair.
>>269723Rainbow, is that you?
>>270471no it ain't me but I kinda agree with legoland
>>270586(same)I just wanted to say that since I'm in Sd I can't get too far out past La
>>270591>unless someone helps me carpoolwe can consider organizing rides! some of us don't mind doing pick ups and drop offs for big events like this.
Also, Hammer-Chan.Would you care to join?
Ok, we need to decide on a place and date real soon so I can print up permission slips for your parents to sign.
Doom. Would you and Cap be interested? If not, suggestions are still welcome.
>>270596>>270747I dunno about Cap. Keep me posted.
>>270767We need Cap there so FF can rub his stomach again. Who knows who we could meet!
>>270768I dunno, man. If we do that shit at Six Flags, who knows what the fuck would happen.
>>270873
>>270873O-oh god.
>>270873Yup, the game is yours...
>>270873oh godim dying
http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2010/09/first-look-at-electronica/WE HAVE TO GO TO THIS
>>271034Now I want to come!
>>271044You won't be the first to get off of Disney.
