I always wanted a Katara/Aang/Toph triangle. I think it would've been funny.

I have absolutely no problem with Taang. Too bad it's always latched on to that piece of crap, Zutara.

I don't normally go looking for Taang art, but here are a couple I just found that are pretty nice.

I'd love to see some good Taang -- the problem is that so much of it out there just has Toph being the blushing, vulnerable girl that Aang has found after getting past her tough exterior. It's true that Toph does have a more vulnerable side, but revealing it should be a rare moment -- and since everyone seems to focus on just that moment it ends up defining the ship in a way that removes Toph's main personality.

See, now Toph can have some blush if it's coupled with a bit more annoyance.

Off topic, I thought we already had a Taang thread...or did it fall off the board already?

I'm a huge Maiko fan who likes a spot of Taang here and there. It's weird though--I've NEVER really been into anything noncanon before, in any fandom. I''d like to write a Taang fic or two, but...it's weird. I'm not sure where to start.

We do have a Taang thread, but it's old and I guess a new one wouldn't hurt.

Personally, though, I think there's zero chemistry between the two of them romantically, even if you leave out the Zutara factor. But whatever floats your boat ship.

Part of me thinks that when Korra comes out it will be revealed that Katara and Aang split up, and he married Toph.
