We haven't had one of these threads in a while so I thought it'd be fun:

Where would you want to live?

>Fire is the element of power. The people of the Fire Nation have desire and will, and the energy and drive to achieve what they want.

>Earth is the element of substance. The people of the Earth Kingdom are diverse and strong. They are persistent and enduring.

>Air is the element of freedom. The Air Nomads detached themselves from worldly concerns and found peace and freedom.

>Water is the element of change. The people of the Water Tribe are capable of adapting to many things. They have a deep sense of community and love that holds them together through anything.

I'm completely split on this one and am gonna answer different facets of the question. I'd like to live in the Earth Kingdom. Water Tribes are too primitive and environmentally harsh for me, Air Nomads are dead too ascetic (plus their chicks have weird hair and are segregated away anyway), and for some reason the Fire Nation has never really attracted me. After taking a trip to NYC and its Chinatown, I especially like the idea of a massive city / cultural hub like Ba Sing Se (post-Long Feng of course).

But I wouldn't want to be an Earthbender. I think that Waterbending is probably the most practically useful of the elements in everyday life. But then also my personality seems split between an Airbender's and a Waterbender's.

Fun to think about. So what about you? Where in the Avatarverse would you live? And if it's different from that nation, what element would you prefer to bend and which bending art matches your personality?

Post-war Ba Sing Se. Absolutely.

by what your green text says, i'd most likely be an air nomad because i don't concern myself with what goes on around me and i'm quite at peace with myself and my lifestyle.

but personally, i would like to live in the fire nation during the war because fuck you that's why.

Enjoy your totalitarianism.

I'd be a Water Nation expatriate in some coastal Earth Kingdom town. Maybe.

I'm a Waterbender Tai Chi practitioner, so the WT is right up my alley. OTOH, it's KOLD, so no living amongst the rest of the tribe for me. I'd think I'd like to live somewhere that's mostly isolated, like Kyoshi.

Underground city.

We will rule the surfacedwellers from beneath their own feet.

No.80310
I'd totally live in the Earth Kingdom, post-Long Feng.
I'd like to be an Earthbender, though I think Fire probably fits my personality a bit more, I'm a pretty passionate guy.

No.80313
Well, I'd have to be Water Tribe, because I'm watery both in nature and profession, but given how fucking miserable I am in the rather mild Melbourne winter, I doubt I could handle the poles. So I guess I'd be all up in the Foggy Swamp.

Let's throw down, motherfuckers.

I'm a nomadic type of person, and my personality suits that of an Airbender. So...

...I'd like to live with the traveling circus and hang out with Ty Lee.

Here, and visiting Kyoshi Island when I wanted to get away for a while, or having a small, quiet, permanent residence in the post-war Fire Nation and traveling around whenever I felt like it. I'd probably be a Firebender for my first choice, then Air or Water next. Earth is still cool, but it just doesn't rock my socks. :P

No.80335
From that description, and apparent social workings and classes, I'd say Fire Nation. Definately.

We only ever saw the "L" trains of Ba Sing Se, but when you think about the affinity its people have for Earth, that city's got to have a killer subway system.

I'd fit right the fuck in at the Northern water tribe (post katara)

This is the best idea ever.

Ba Sing Se Civic Leader: ...so you see, our neighborhood has experienced rapid and unexpected growth in the past few weeks, and the subway cars crowded and running behind schedule.

BSS DoT Bureaucrat: Fine, we'll add a new line. Is Friday good for you?

I admit I have suffered through a lot of shiat in my time so I probably will stick with the Earth Benders. As to where to live...

I'll stay in Kiyoshi thanks. Though Ba Sing Se would be a decent home once Long Feng's been deposed

This. I am pretty sure after the Dai Li and FN Occupation Forces are out of the picture the whole Big City thing makes it a great place.

Personality wise and personal preference wise, I'd have to say Air Nomads.

Though I'm pretty much from IRL Northern Water Tribe, so I would probably end up there :I

Earth Kingdom for sure I wouldn't mind being a bender but Earth Kingdom is the best For their strength as people
