DarkDP has his own different style for drawing bodies that really isn't that similar to the show (not as angular and the overall shape is different). DLT is closer, but he chooses to round out Maddie's torso and shoulders more than the original design, perhaps to make the character curvier overall. Plus, angular shoulders are kinda awkward to work with.

I've always noticed it, but yeah, it becomes a lot more acute once you've started drawing yourself. Easy to take that for granted.

Of course not.

Everyone takes artistic liberties and has their own style to some extent or another, no matter how close they work to model. There's nothing wrong with it.

Not that anyone's asking, but personally I'd take DLT, Levelord, and Tapdon by leaps and bounds over DarkDP. He sticks way too close to the art style of the show and between that and the often vacant looking expressions he uses it comes off as pretty unappealing to me.

Funny, of the artists you mentioned, I'd say that DDP strays the most from the shows design, or at least on the same level of Tapdon.

I say that DDP is close to Butch Hartman's design in terms of physique, but the facial designs are slightly off. DLT is the exact opposite with the female casts's bodies being more broader, thus more titilating.

anybody knows which program are these folks using to produce such a clean lineart? I think Levelord uses Photoshop's vector tool, but I wonder if others are using either Flash or Illustrator and what impact the methods have in their styles.

I actually asked DLT about it once. I'm pretty sure he was doing his vectors in Photopshop then, but don't quote me on that because this conversation was at least few years ago. No idea if that's still the case.
