There seems to be an error, it says Chapter 702 on the cover page.
It seems that we're having a DBZ style tournament, luffy kicks some guys ass.

Sanji is a liability
No wonder Franky is replacing him in the monster trio

This skinny old man in this chapter is awesome, where did he come from? Lucy is such an odd name for a guy but I can't wait to see him kick ass.

The old man I hear is an ancient warrior from the isles of the heart.

I like how candid Luffy is about giving the fruit away so long as it's to someone he knows and likes.

I'll be honest. I thought One Piece had lost a bit of its spark after the time skip, but god damn this arc already has me right back in!

My guess is that he'll meet a guy he likes in the tournament that could make good use of it.

I just had a thought:
The false whiskers... are they colour matched to Franky/Zoro/Sanji's hair colours? Just white? Completely off the wall, "Oda is sick is code for him doing way too much acid on Thursday" colours?
>> No. 30359
These guys look so baller in their suits, shades and facial hairs. I like the zorostache.

Also, nice cover. I like the Police shout out.

Lucy made me laugh out loud

Anyone else think Doflamingo makes all the toys move in this city?

And out goes the chances of Super Fire Franky. C'est la Cyborg.
I like that Luffy wanted him to have it though, that's a load of trust.

I'm upset that only Luffy entered though. Both of them were there, what is Franky going to do now? Disappear for the arc and show up in a boat later?
I really want to see this Sanji side story play out, but like I said before I'm much more interested in Zoro getting some development.

Find the factory by roughing up some lackeys? That's what they were actually there to do. Franky's the only one actually FOCUSING ON THE PLAN.

Because the new chapter hasn't surfaced yet, I might as well mention it here...

Baby 5 vs Sanji will probably end up being the most ridiculous fight of the entire series. Both are brash, foul-mouthed, and impulsive, both smoke like chimneys, both wear formal serving attire (a maitre d' and a french maid) and both have a crippling weakness for the opposite gender.

I imagine them fawning over one-another, getting increasingly annoyed at the other's comical devotion getting in the way of their own, throwing down violently, and disappearing from battle for hate-sex of legendary proportions.
>> No. 30390

Sanji is still too much of a white-knight to throw down with a woman (Though Zoro sort of stole his shtick a little out of nowhere post-timeskip)

Also-

>(Though Zoro sort of stole his shtick a little out of nowhere post-timeskip)
But that's wroooong, Tashigi assumed he wouldn't hit a woman but he outright said that wasn't it.
>> No. 30402
>>30401
He was still playing with baby gloves on against her for a long time instead of just knocking her out, its not like before the timeskip he ever hesitated to knock a woman out with the back of his blade or his hands (whiskey hunt bounty hunters), It was only Tashigi alone he didn't want to fight because her being identical to his childhood friend confused him too much.

Compare that to when he fought anyone else after the timeskip, when he actually strikes with a serious attack.
>> No. 30403
>>30402
Actually he didn't even finish the fight.
Monet was still willing to attack him even after he cut her in half non-lethally, it was Tashigi that finally finished the fight.
How far was Zoro going to go not to inflict harm on her exactly? Does Oda think it would make him a bad guy or something?
>> No. 30406
>>30402
He played with baby gloves on for Monet just like he did with the octopus swordsman. He hasn't honestly gotten serious against ANYBODY since the timeskip. He only wants to fight a very specific type of person now that he considers himself so high and mighty, and Kinemon's the only one so far who MIGHT fit the bill.

30409
>>30406
He hit the Octo-swordsman with a full-on serious attack that shattered all his swords and drew blood.
Why was he so unwilling to do the same to Monet apart from the tiny scratch he dealt to try and psyche her out?

(Not to mention against Hodi he about cut the dude in half right off the bat.)
>> No. 30410
>>30409
He cut Hodi because Hodi was a real threat, but nobody else. He plays with the octopus, half-ignoring him until he's forced to break the guy's toys. He does the same with Monet in slicing her so she can't control herself in fear, which simply doesn't look as amazing since she's the type that can get cut in half and survive from it.
All he's done is end fights quickly because he's bored of them since the timeskip. He's taken NOBODY seriously, Monet's just not an exception to that rule. Hell, the only exception has been in the new movie, where he gets serious against a female swordsman.
>> No. 30411
>>30410
But that wasn't enough to end the fight with Monet, She was still going for him until Tashigi backstabbed her.
It seems like Tashigi was just there so Zoro didn't have to seriously injure a woman.

And did Oda do the writing for the new movie like how he was deeply involved in Strong World?
