>>38706 As wary as I am of such a ridiculously specific request, the song is "Aquarela do Brasil" (widely known in the English-speaking as simply "Brazil") composed in 1939 by Ary Barroso: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aquarela_do_Brasil It is one of Brazil's most famous songs and kick-started the "exaltation samba" genre, moving away from samba's prior emphasis on sensuality and tragedy into areas of pure joy. It's come under criticism for its excessive patriotism, which was seen as supporting the dictatorship Brazil was then under, a charge the anti-fascist composer strenuously denied. However, the ironic contrast between the song's uncompromising love of a beautiful land and the land as it actually was provided the direct inspiration for Terry Gilliam's movie "Brazil", which was named after the song. The version of the song that accompanied the movie is probably the version most familiar to the Anglosphere: Brazil - Geoff Muldaur
Umm...any other questions?
