This is one of the threads on /co/ that inspired making a thread here. Along with a pic showing that Linda has just about the coolest dad ever. "Go out there and fight some gigantic undead pirates, honey! That's my girl!"

Here's the short story I came up with. Way I see it most of it would be single panel images.
>Black Kitten is tied to a post and biting his lip while BC fights a sexy villainess.
>Cat and Kitten are tied pressed against each other as they're being lowered into a tank of sharks
>Kitten is putting bandages on Cat's back as she's topless
>The two of them changing out of wetsuits ala Ursula Andress in Dr. No.

Finally we see Kit out of costume just sitting on a couch and looking utterly exhausted. Cat comes over to him while wearing a cozy sweater and jeans, and is holding a DVD and some popcorn.

The Linda joins him on the couch, they snuggle up together, and start watching a movie.

Thanks. Yeah, I like /ss/, but I wouldn't make the two of them actually sleeping together unless the story was meant to be straight up porn.
So far here are some possible interpretations:
>Bubblecat Crisis: cyberpunk version where Cat where's a powered suit.
>Black SWAT Cat: Anthro characters ala SWAT Kats, very over the top and actiony.
>Black Cat Through the Ages: A short story looking over imaginary stories that never were, but that embody comics of the 60's through the 00's

I'm actually working on the Bubblegum Crisis style one, but I'll probably keep off the threads and just focus on creating. With discussion disrupted I won't get much out of /co/, so I'll just forge ahead with what have so far.

The anthro swat KATS thing could work if you play up her stunt actor aspect. Like Roxy Rocket from Batman

Just for the sake of diversity and to cover all aspects of these cool characters...may they be old-timey, silly or inappropriate as they are.

Stuff like this could be added to it as little bonus pages or extra stories for example.
And with it we would have the classic costumed versions of Linda and Kit in it too, in a nice kind of way.

You could also add other redesings and versions and fanart of the original as well, if other folks start contributing!
So it would be Bubblecat Crisis as the main story/book, plus varying bonus content.

Just came by to post some more work in progress stuff. It's taking time, but I haven't forgotten it.

The next step is a good villain. For the most part Black Cat's rogues were Nazis or gangsters, and a few super-villain types.
The Salem Witch could get re-imagined as someone that combines technology and alchemy.

I finally got some time to go through all my sketches and shit the last... FOUR MONTHS!? Wow. Anyway, this what happened when I decided I needed to just draw her today, a much more finished sketch than usual. Consider the design more or less finished, I just have to work on everything else that is needed to make it a full comic, including ironing out my Greg Weisman inspired timeline I want to have in place before I get to far into the whole thing.

I did decide to go closer to the shape of the original Black Cat's mask, as seen in this near final attempt at the suit. I decided the 'dips' in the seams to her underarmor just made the design needlessly busy, so I just went with straight seams. I realize above the "NEW" doesn't match the font of the actual Hollywood sign, but once I drew it I said "that makes sense" with how New Hollywood would be founded after earthquakes decimated the original. The entire era will be a mishmash of old and new, technological advancement and nostalgic all at once. At least, that's how it'll come across if I don't completely screw the pooch.

I should probably make it black, though I'm not sure as I haven't done any color tests yet. I'm not sure if I want her hardlight to be white or some other color, and part of me wants to get in a bit of red like the original Linda's belt. I'll probably get on color tests and such later, though part of me likes how 'nude' the torso area looks (but then again, that might be more my heterosexuality than anything else). I also bought a cork board, thumbtacks and a shitton of index cards so I can get the timeline for this nailed down soon, which hopefully will prove to be a good way to get this and other projects organized before getting deep into writing.
