It seems the roster so far is:

Asami - Wolfbat(wo)man (Batman)
Sokka - Wang Fire (Old Bruce)
Lin - ...Well, Lin is Lin.
Tahno - An Inque analogue after trying to regain his bending.

The setting was tossed up between being before Korra arrives, or shortly after the series. In the after-series idea bending cannot be undone as easily as it was, and Korra needs to go on a spirit quest to get that skill. Really, it's just a way to get rid of her like how we got rid of Aang.

There is of course a lot of strife in the post-Amon Republic City, with a lot of crime caused by riots. The perfect place for the symbol of fear for that superstitious and cowardly lot to be reborn!

Just a kid running around on a rampage while Wolfbatgirl has to protect him and everyone around him. Really, it would all be harmless fun, like those cartoons where a baby is innocently crawling around a dangerous place, and the carer has to keep it safe. Only the kid is actually causing the dangerous situations.

Here's an idea for Lin.

When Korra first entered the city, she expressed a hatred for vigilantism, but then later -- after she lost her bending unit -- her first thought was to become a vigilante herself.

What if she's secretly a real Wolfbatman fangirl, and that's the real reason she got into law enforcement? She then came to also hate the symbol after it vanished when Republic City needed him the most: when Yakone ruled the streets.

This could all lead to a scene where she sadly demands an answer from Asami, and Sokka is listening in.

That could show Lin opening up to the new Wolfbat, softening up Sokka, and also to show how Asami is finally thrown herself totally into the role.

Maybe for dramatic effect she saw Wolfbat's last outing that ended in disaster forcing her to take a greater stance against vigilantism since it leads to conformity.

She could still be the Batgirl in the flashback, only she's a young and idealistic policewoman happy to be working with her hero.

She also sees the injury that forces Sokka to stop being the Wolfbatman. And it proves that he was just a human being, and not the spirit of justice she always assumed he was in her youthful naivete.

China has been around for a long time, so it's not too surprising that the laws and social prohibitions governing marriage between cousins varied quite a bit through the centuries. But yes, Avatar is very much an American product, and therefore the whole Lin/Tenzin thing means that it's highly unlikely that Lin is Sokka's daughter, I just wanted to point out that that fact alone doesn't rule out the possibility as completely as many seem to think that it does.

I "like" how this went from Korra being the new Wolfbatman to Asami.

Here's a thing: What if we shake up the villain tiers a little bit.

Hiroshi has a real reason to be the lead villain of this, at least for the first 'season.'

I'm thinking the ultimate weapon shouldn't be a robot, but rather an airship. It could lead to an awesome approach with the Wolfbatplane, and then a lead up like the final level of Shinobi 3.

Shinobi 3 Round 7 The Final Confrontation

Like an obstacle course where she has to use all of what she has learned as the Wolfbat, and pass by it all as quickly and effortlessly as the LP, like it's instinct, like it's now part of who she is.

I love that the last level was entirely empty of enemies, like all the Zeed's armies are entirely defeated, and only he remains. A really great way of using the game to tell the story.
