I didn't asshole.I just didn't have enough cash to buy books.
I'm the only person I know who reads. It's crazy."Someone your age shouldn't be reading, they should be out getting drunk and shit."
people also thought books would make every one dumber
Knowledge is more important than its delivery method.
>>4912I agree with this statement.
Reading used to mean something. Then this fucker came along and totally casualized it. It used to be you had to be a functionary of the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church to read. Now any dumb fucker can do it.
BURN OTHER SOURCES OF MEDIAOr you can read books and watch TV as they aren't mutually exclusive
>reading is nicheNope. It sure isn't. Reading books maybe but...yeah, everyone reads now, whether they realized it or not.
>>4954You're doing it right nowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!
>books used to be the normWhen? Tell me please when was that period in time when books were accessible to anyone and everyone did in fact read lots of them?>now reading is considered a niche thing to doWhere the fuck do you live and how can I avoid the place?
Talking was here.Books are for casuals.
hard to read when you draw 20 hours day.I'm pretty much resigned to audiobooks these days.
I just realized I haven't sat down and read a real novel in awhile. I'll read short stories and comics with fair regularity, but mostly I just watch TV and play video games.Maybe I should crack open one of those jpg/rar files I got from the sticky. I've never actually read The Prince...Oh who am I fucking kidding, I'll read If Chins Could Kill.
I'm probably going to be doing a lot of reading now that I'm employed, since I'm way more comfortable with a book than I am playing my DS.
I have a hard time picking up books these days. When I was on vacation last month I was just devouring The Adventures of Kavalier and Clay, but after I got home I just couldn't get back into it. Hopefully I'll be able to finish it before the school year rolls around again.
People only seem to read books if they're given a lot of press coverage. My mother started reading the Millennium Trilogy books, mostly because of the film.
I didn't but, I don't know any of my friends who don't read, plus working in a bookshop helps.
