Woops, looks like the other one hit autosage. So I'm making a new one.Pic related, it's my slow-going attempt at making a Minecraft Rapture.

dammit i was going to suggest anonex make an official post wit IPs in the OP and whatnot
My map still seems like it loads funny. That may be because I went and explored a whole lot more of it in a boat though.
building a giant tower in the lake. going to see how far up i can go. the tower extends down to a small "hub" of sorts to a HUGE cave system underwater, like huge doesn't even describe it, there are places i haven't been to and i get lost way to easily down there. ton of iron too, and i've found lava (but i can't find it again!) I'm also building a small castle on the other side of the island. The castle started out as a small island (the sand next to it was a part of the island, hoping to make it into a greenhouse) and thats where i spawned, so hopefully when i die i spawn in the castle and not out in the ocean or in the sand blocks i've already laid down.
>>91454Given the map, that seems more like an ocean than a lake.
>>91464right o, but i didn't know weather to refer to it as an ocean or a lake since it's surrounded by land on two of it's sides.regardless, theres a tower going up in the ocean, and i just now built a bigger base for it, i have no idea what i will do with it
>>91465Better get the boat!
Currently I'm trying to figure out a way to drain the entire sea on my map into the underground, while surviving the attempt. I'm curious as to how much of a drain is possible. Maybe it would be easier to just create a more artificial situation with the map editor. I.e. a gigantic underground with a thin surface but a wide exit that natural light penetrates.
>>91530Maybe if he invents a craftable diving helmet.
Finally made my mark on Anonex's SMP server. Made my Ultra underground paradise with my little torch to help show me the way.
>>91530impossible. water doesn't work that way. to do that you'd ahve to fill up the ocean nad then hollow it out

Ahh, those errors again. What's up with this?I had lots of space free this time.
Looks like the only thing I lost this time was the spawn hut.On the plus side, the stuff I had just taken out of the chest I was keeping my stuff in in case I died reappeared, so I've got twice the stuff!I'll accept that as compensation for these shenanigans.I'm lost, so I'll have to use the map to find my way back. This other island is much bigger than my starter island!
built a treefort on the mp server, very nice with two stories, hope to fill it with books or some shit.and i made a waterslide from the top, but it kinda didn't work. I'll fix it tomorrow though.
Finished up a light house that marked my secret base.
Ooh, fancy.
>>91708Okay, I give. How do you make these awesome looking maps. :c
Well it turns out, that bridge belongs to Maritova! Great job, man, it looks so good! Also, having patches of grass lit by torches at a great height is practically a leather factory. Chickens spawn up there, fall down, and somehow die and drop leather. I made pants and gave them away, along with all my pork and eggs. Because I'm awesome like that.
>>91804Aww, "belongs to" sounds so formal! :3cBut anyway I made more progress on that bridge, by which I mean that it finally connects to another mountain. Still need to finish adding torches and the fancy stonework though.
Hey, could you add GeneralDisorder to the whitelist please?

>>91953Also I added a Waterfall to Skytower Lake.It hides a secret room, because things hidden behind waterfalls is another one of those things I think are cool.
Well, I think I've finished the bridge, more or less.
>>91454The tower (now called "Skaia Tower" thanks to a lone sign! is pretty much completed, i'm thinking of what i can do with it right now, any suggestions?just as well, i finished the castle which will stay that way for quite a while. I think i may expand the land around it and create a harbor for the dock (maybe cut it through the island too so i can go to the otherwise of the world easier.) but thats for another day. Also i'm building a large wall from the dock and the castle to Skaia Tower, it will probably not serve a purpose but i do not care cause i got DOZENS of stacks of stone from the cave located under Skaia Tower.
S-S-S-Server crashBut at least construction is coming along nicely!
I have no idea what this is but it looks fun. Any info for a complete beginner?
>>92058Turn back before it is too late and you have autisms.
Why yes, that is leather armor in SMP. Thank you for asking! What's my secret? Well apparently, since the top of my giant Menger sponge is grass and well lit, thousands of chickens spawn up there only to fall to their deaths below. Then I scoop up the leather (dodging useless ham in the process) and make useless armor out of it.Unfortunately all those spawning-and-dying chickens end up giving Anonex memory problems. I currently imagine the server as a heap of melted scrap, a single feather left nearby as the culprit's cruel calling card.At least I look pretty awesome.
>>92082Heh, a compass. I kinda want something like that for my island.I built a tunnel behind the waterfall that leads all the way to the other side of the hill, coming out conveniently close to the spawn point. The minecart shaft is going to be a pain to rebuild. I'm not sure if I can.
I like the tiled effect the double-stacked steps give the pond house. It's very homey now.
>>92090You don't really need a compass above ground since the sun rises in the east and sets in the west. Also, clouds always move north.A portable one for use underground would be awesome, though.
It's kind of freaky that these holes out the bottom of the world generate light.
>>92190it's the underworld, don't go down there or the things you see will not let you go back...
Augh, I fell into lava trying to back away from a creeper and died.Sometimes I wish I was in third person, sometimes I wish I was in first. It's a shame I keep forgetting to switch in the panic.I don't think I lost too much stuff, but it is annoying to hear it all burn up.
>>92191Picture related to where the rabbit hole really goes.
I am an idiot and please let me relay you a tale of dumb incompetence so that this may never happen to you.i just broke a pick so I went to make another one, I had a bucket full of lava in my toolbar and switched so it was in my hand when I went to the crafting block. I open up the crafting table and my guy suddenly starts going "UGH UGH UGH UGH" and i pay no attention to it till the fifth UGH, so I close the crafting table and find I am WADING THROUGH A ROOM OF LAVA and I end up dying because i couldn't run through the LAVA fast enough.26 bars of iron, a couple golden bars, two stacks of planks, four stacks of coal, a ton of other shit, and all my tools. Gone in a flash as the lava ate it all up, thank god i had a chest near spawn with a couple iron ores and some coal. DON'T MAKE THIS MISTAKE IT'S A WARNING TO ANYONE AS DUMB AS ME TO DO THIS.
Up to date plus4craft SMP server map:http://zoom.it/B4lYNorth is down and to the left. Why? Cartographer.
oh shit, i found a hole in the fabric of time and space
is the server dead or am i just stupid
>>92210The little stone shack to the south east of the spawn point (with the four torches on top) is mine. I'm gonna make a secret underwater base once glass becomes available.
>>92221It's working fine for me. Are you using the new IP? >>91945
>>92230Feels awesome to have plans, doesn't it? :)I think I finally figured out what I want to do with my island. Right now I've just been making this open-pit mine and stacking all the cobblestone on top, but it's uninspired and pretty much an eyesore. Nearby I've stacked up my ores in pillars like Anonex has done on his island. So what I'm going to do is take that location and turn it into a tall pagoda (16x16x50ish) with the pillar of iron inside it, deconstructing my current walled mine as I'm doing it. Going with the Chinese theme here, I'll be building an Asian-style beach house further north, and in the southeast I'll make a paifang (one of those decorative gate/archways you see on the entrances to Chinatowns) leading out to a bridge across that thin path of land.
new map for me! The hut was spawn. Right now I'm building a spire on the edge of some floating landmass and that seems to be turning out fine, the bottom of it will be comprised mostly of wood, maybe glass and sand. You can't see it in this map but there is a little lava waterfall nearby the spire too, and a underground cave system as well.
oh and http://notch.tumblr.com/post/1075326804/hiring-some-people-getting-an-office-and-all-that for people who haven't seen itNotch has an office, and now has 5 people working under him.
I think I'll be using this design for future docks.
>>92256So, the boat just sort of slides onto the half-squares and hangs out until you move it? I like it, unless Notch eventually comes up with a way to rope your boat to a dock.
Inspired by Maritova's talk about pagodas, I spent the afternoon creating this 35*15 thing.
>>92312so coooool.I added another tunnel that leads from the now complete on the outside minecart shaft to the waterfall by the pond house. The two tunnels don't meet, but with what is there of the railway, I can now somewhat safely travel between my buildings at night.I fixed Union Bridge and starting paving a cobblestone road, but it's really hilly and stuff.Maybe a better way to keep from getting lost is to build things I can use as reference points...
please add "DimJim" to whitelist
Also I realize why my island was just full of mushrooms after that crash. It was nighttime when all that stuff happened, so clearly when it regenerated my missing chunks, it regenerated the whole thing at night, so the mushrooms grew because it was dark, but died when the sun rose.
TRAGEDY IN WORLD 3 - my spire was built with a wooden base and a metal top, but then i got careless and built a glass tube and filled it with lava. the wood burnt around the tube and it is still burning in this image.I'm gonna have to make the base with something other than wood, maybe sand?
>>92312Is that on the plus4 server, or offline? It looks great!>>92347...Why not stone?
I discovered another dungeon in the skytower caves.I tried using TNT to destroy the spawner.Seems to have destroyed the chests, as well.
>>92395i wanted something else for the base, the stone part was built on a thin strip of land floating off the top of a high mountain so i wanted to make the bottom a different block. Wood worked first but i got a little crazy with a lava lake i found underground and i'm trying to find some uses for it, i ended up putting a block of lava inside a diamond shaped glass tube but the lava burnt the wood even when not in direct contact!i'm using sand now, which is working out pretty ok, and the lava light is great lighting.
Now I have music.

because of the pagoda, i decided i need a house.i think this will be big enough
>>92446Ohhhh, it's on now, dawg.
and at last it is done! i've named it the sun spire since at mid day the sun can be seen hovering over it from far away. It is constantly being besieged by clouds so i shall consider adding a barricade, in time...on the top of the tower i felt compelled to go southward and i decided to move, the cave i found is running dry on ore and while i find a lot of coal i can feel it running out so i think i'll be dropping a few supplies inside the spire in case i die and need to return.
>>92463Very neat! I like the diagonal lines near the top.Well I've reached a milestone on the construction of this pagoda. The framework itself is there now (I was very fortunate with my design, as I was able to finish up one extra level and complete the roof, such that the top layer is at the very top of the building area!)What I need to do:- make a bunch of wooden stairs and use them to smooth the roof, hopefully without wasting too many in the process as I struggle to get the buggy things aligned right.- fill in the floors with planks, leaving a hole in the middle, and (at Anonex's helpful suggestion!) add ceiling beams to make the interiors more interesting.- move that giant pillar of iron inside in (initially) a 2x2 pillar, running through each of the floors.- add torches to each floor and start to decorate the surrounding landsThen it's on to the other projects I have for the island!
>>92516thank you! and wow that looks amazing, you got some righteous building skills!I'm starting my jounrey Northward as i figured out by cloud direction. The world is really nice with large mountains and small little valleys, this bridge was built to connect to mountains together and will probably find use in a path near the future. But for now, the spire and the bridge will both stand tall and collect some dust.
most recent cartographer, i like the spire, like a shining beacon of hope in an area usually filled with creepers and other terrible things (at night)the farthest i got to was that CA on the top right of the map (the A is upside down in this though, i fixed that in minecraft)
>>92521Man, There was a dark hole inside the cave system that I thought the random monsters might be coming from, so I climb up there and a bunch of creepers pour out.It took me a while to get my stuff back because that cave is full of waterfalls and it carried it all away.

Because I have a thing for progress reports...Besides familiarizing myself with the updates to SMP, I mainly worked on laying out the roads for my island, though I only made enough tile blocks to mark out the direction changes along the dirt-carved paths. They're drawn in red in my plan here; I tried to make them meander and follow the lay of the land in interesting ways. The rest of the lines are other future plans:Blue = beach house on raised stiltsOrange = a small shrine tucked near the seaGray = walls or fences around the pagoda (still need to work more on that!)Light green = farmland? or maybe I'll find a way to do terraced fields that looks goodYellow = possible roads leading: across the land bridge, down from the beach house to the beach, and down to a possible harbor out of the several I'll probably have
>>92744Your plans will mean absolutely NOTHING when the monsters come. They will take you and everything you have ever worked for and tear it apart!Seriously, though? Looking good. I haven't seen the building site in-person yet, but the plans alone look good.

>>92812That... actually had nothing to do with what I'm building. First I've seen of it, even.BUT THIS PROVES THAT THE GODS WILL MY CONSTRUCTION TO BE A SUCCESS!I must continue with their work! Also the tool repair glitch still works, so happy mining~!
Blarg Minecraft crashed again.Hope I didn't lose my stuff.
Well, I've finally finished the pagoda. It just took spending all day today on it. Those wooden stair pieces are a bitch because they like to decide for themselves which way to face, and always seem to get it wrong once per row or two (it's because I had to place an even instead of odd number of them each time). But I think it made for a nice effect. Also, there was a weird bug where one row of stairs would turn invisible unless I had a normal block directly underneath at least one in the row. So I used this constraint to build a series of pillars going around the lowest level, which actually worked pretty well since the central idea of Chinese roofs is that the roof is supposed to look like it's "floating" or being supported by something other than the wall. Now for the rest of the island!
>>92836You gotta get somebody to get a screenshot of that with unmodded textures.

>>92843Wow, it still looks really cool. Well done, Maritova, I am impressed.

So after a cow got in my greenhouse and crushed some crop, I decided to replace the grass in my greenhouse with glass. Now you can see the waterflow.
My first real building in Mysteria is going to be the volcano house. A glass house surrounded by lava with a dirt mountain built around it....I wish I hadn't poured water on all that lava in the Skytower Lake Caves.I should probably dig up some closer lava anyways.
>>92953It's like the exact opposite of the pond house.
>>92954Nice, looks very sick.>>92521Continuing from this, I built a small weird building (I'll have to cartographer it up tonight) and traveled across the sea. Far off I found a giant landmass with the location i stopped at full of lakes. i moved forward after building a small hut and found this awesome thing, around it are a pretty decent number of caves too, i don't know what to do with it but i should figure out something sooner or later
>>92843You know, that would make a pretty sweet wallpaper.
It's going to take a really long time to import enough lava from Birth Island to coat the magma house!I don't know if I should encase it in a pyramid volcano like I planned or just keep it exposed.
Now with torch free lighting!
Now that I have the compass to guide me back to Birth Island, I should try hugging the coastline of Mysteria to see how big a continent we're dealing with.

Oh dear.
As I explore Mysteria, I begin to consider that Birth Island is in fact surrounded by Mysteria.
>>93242oh god mysteria is going to be huuuuuuge.Anyways I started building a tower at the top of the central floating landmass. This one has a small sliver of about 5 blocks width and length to the ground. i managed to go up the whole tower and land smack dab in the tower so that's awesome. Also there is a giant cave system a couple feeta way from the tower.Fuck yes this i will conquer this range!
My most recent cartographer, now i'm giving everything ridiculous names autism at 100% captain. After I finish the tower i'm going to build a GIANT castle around it connecting the giant mountain ranges to each other. I will need a literal shit ton of stone for this but i plan to incorporate a lot of shit for this, i think if i find gold this will probably be where it goes to.Also this is going to be extremely dangerous because any fall at that height will kill me and spawn is a long way away.
WHAT IS THIS MADNESS
God damn. Every time I come across something that looks like it's another island, it turns out to be a peninsula.I wonder if this coastal journey even ends.
>>93168But how do you do it for the multiplayer map?
>>93180Sure Hydra, that'd be awesome!
>>93259The owner of the server has to do it. Or someone with access to the map file for the server map.

>>93344What is your plan? I may have dug under there somewhere...
>>93348The plan is pretty much to dig down until I hit obsidian (I'm roughly halfway), and plant a garden.I did in fact hit the edge of some tunnels, but I just walled it off.
>>93352Ok, I guess you're using cobblestone to wall them off, right? So I'll know to avoid that or go around it. Also, does anybody need cobblestone? I have a large box half filled with it.
Apparently if you want to find a lot of mushrooms, you get the game to generate new chunks at nighttime.
I fell off a cliff and died again. At this point I'm going to lay off the exploration for now.I think I'm pretty satisfied that thinking of Mysteria as a continent is a pretty reasonable classification....I want the Union Bridge to be made of glass now.
I get the distinct impression that even if I could find my way back to where I died, all my stuff would be gone.Oh well, just a bunch of mushrooms, anyways.
Oh wait, so you need to be on the whitelist in order to log in on SMP server? Could you add "_DVan_"? Pretty please?
>>93344I fell down there so dig my way out and used blocks to get to the top, then I cleaned up those blocks and I put in a ladder.
So I have started making this ugly platform to put my house on. I think I've got the basics of the floorplan set up, and it should look nice, but damn it's this bigass 30x35 area. Hopefully when it's put on stilts it'll look good.
>>93406Are you building it all with wood?
>>93415Mostly, but I'll probably use stone for the walls for variety.I really wish I could find a program to build the structure isometrically or in 3D beforehand, just so I can know if I've got the feel of the structure right in my plans.
I tried to build the exposed magma house, but lava fell on me and I died.I tried to clear the lava out of the front door and got a nice obsidian block blocking the way. What the hell? That shouldn't have been a lava spring...
Lava is complicated.Do I really want an exposed magma house?I still don't know why lava suddenly flowed in when I opened the door, I thought I had built the glass to divert the lava away from the entrance.Perhaps the best entrance to a magma house would be through an underground tunnel.Or I just go with the original plan to build a mountain structure around the lava, making it impossible for me to touch it.
Also sometimes I get hurt walking next to the walls. Is there something about Lava I should know before I build a glass house surrounded by it?
>>93438That does sound pretty buggy. But I haven't played much with lava, so i couldn't tell you what it does. Anonex, you should take another cartograph. It's getting outdated.
Has anyone been suffering lag issues or synch issues with the server? Ever since last update I've been having major problems with that. I'll be sitting there for like fifteen seconds before blocks I've destroyed actually drop anything, or I'll be digging and blocks will reappear only to disappear again half a minute later... It's getting in the way of playing, and I didn't have these problems before. It only started after the update/after Anonex updated the server whitelist stuff.>>93540It's not "getting" outdated, it IS outdated. In the time since the last cartograph we've had several people join and each one has brought with them some form of mega project.
Had to repost this:>Look at that creeper, now back to me, now back to the creeper, now back to me.>Sadly, he isn't me, but if he stopped being so easy to kill and got a good ranged weapon, he could be as obnoxious as me.>Look down, back up. Where are you? You're in a cave, with two health and a full inventory. Twang! Now look again, the ground is now covered in your diamonds.>Everything is possible when you can shoot arrows out of your hands.>I'm on a spider.
>>93559Yeah, I've been having that too. >>93563Haha, there needs to be an Old Spice Guy skin.
How many autism points do I get when the entire coastline of Birth Island is illuminated?
>>93604None, because that is the only way to protect you from monsters. The only.Way.>>93563...Flawless victory.
My island is bigger than I think it is.Your little trek across Mysteria makes these maps take forever to make, Deon
>>93622Why are you playing solo and not on the server with us?
>>93632It felt glitchy and unfinished. How are the recent updates to it?
hey so you should totally whitelist meprincessbarbie(yay bridges and tunnels)
secret saturday coming upcrouching is going to help SO much
suddenly, everything is broken.minecraft.net is down
http://notch.tumblr.com/>The last time I did an update, the website got really slow for a long time. This time, it more or less died.>I’ve temporarily disabled everything fancy, including game sales>The game will be free to play until this gets sorted.http://www.minecraft.net/Get it.
So I've been wandering around one of the more popular SMP servers today and I'm really glad that our server has a whitelist. Since Minecraft is doing a free-to-play thing this weekend, this server has been getting messed up by random people, but I'm more annoyed at the non-griefers right now. Seems like the same old story of Creative multiplayer, lots of people getting angry at each other for stepping on each other's turf and such. It's fun to explore these newly-ruined ruins, though. :P
>>93797I don't care what happens to other people, as long as my stuff is safe. I worked too hard and for too long to have absolutely nothing to show for it!;_;
>>93798its pretty safe because i dont htink anyone at all can get to the server right now
Now originally my adventures were simple at best but as time went on and worlds came and went my experiences became more and more amazing in hind sight.I suppose it all started when i had generated a particular map.At first the world seemed pretty standard and caves had just beenimplement so the first thing i did was venture out to look for one.Almost no time had passed when when i climbed to the top of the nearby hill. There it was, in a small L shaped hole was a cavern that reached down as faras the eye could see. "let's see how far this rabbit hole goes" was my mantra as a I delved deeper and deeper. This system was easily the most expansive quarry i have and possibly will ever experience. A lava stream was my guide as I moved lower and lower into the dank pit. As I reached the "bottom" I could see two paths jutting out that both reached farther than what was perceivable. I took the right.A literal lake of lava caught my eye as I kept moving on the path. Next to the lake was a large open area reminiscent of early Greek amphitheaters, with two blocks of diamond sitting right in the middle.the was my first encounter with such high level minerals and as luck would have it I had no iron yet to make a pick with, but in this huge expanse of monsters, lava, rivers, and gold I knew that it wouldn't have taken me long to find what was needed.A short traipse along the middle of the lava lake had me at a prime starting position for gathering. A small time after mining enough iron for a pick I was on my way back to the amphitheater, and i started digging,But I had forgotten to make a sword.sssssssss-boom.I never found the hole again.
Snow...That was my first thought as I generated this new map. It was my first experience with the new snow terrain and the sight of all of the snow got me primed for adventuring.Night seemed to come quickly and I was under-prepared. I still went on though, and after the rough night was finished I knew that a base must be made. The only question was where? That seemed to answer itself as I found an opening to a cave near the coast. The cave was actually quite small upon first inspection, but after several days of mining the system I saw how expansive it really was. Near the very bottom in a hollowed out dungeon was where I decided to make my permanent residence. After the addition of some paintings and enough torches to light my way from entrance to end this little hole was staring to feel like home.My one real problem was my inexperience with redstone. I had a crude lever system set up in case any baddies decided to follow me home. And of course after I had made a nice settlement in the area I called "Emergence Quarry" some monsters had the gall to follow me back home.Creepers. It just had to be creepers. Most of them were slain by my bow but I had once again neglected to make a powerful enough sword. There were two, maybe three left.Nothing I couldn't handle right? Damn my hubris. The first one blew up my lever and bridge, separating me from my home and chest of pork, of which I desperately needed by now. Uh-oh.The possibly last one was slain by my own two hands and I made a new bridge to my now defenseless house hoping i could find some shelter. The next one took me off guard. ssss...boomMe, my house, and the wall separating a previously unknown lava fume were gone in a instant.I watched my corpse and my possessions burn as a small flake of snow drifted down.Snow...
>>93798>>93816server's down until notch gets off his butt and fixes authentication, since anyone can type in your username, and appear on the server as you with your stuff.
>>938169_9 on the plus side expect a server upgrade once everything's running again, and minecraft.plus4chan.net now gets you to the server rather than having to input an IP.
>>93823Boooo!>>93824Yayyyy!
>>93777okay so, if you want to play, you will probably have to download the client again. would love to play on anonex's server again :U
>>93824minecraft.plus4chan.org hurr durr godiamtired
>>93828YES!get some rest
i belive i have a new project
>>93864 I'm surprised more people aren't using South and Central American designs in Minecraft. They're some of the most efficent ones when you're talking about generic same-sized block archetecture.
5 more buckets to finish off the Magma House. Then I can remove the scaffolding
>>93868I was wondering that myself. I mean, we had that golden step pyramid in Creative, but that was about it.
>>93868the second i declare my kingdom done, i will start one
>>93821SO MUCH BAW
Have you guys ever had one of these here floating islands? They're pretty cool.
>>93908I'm sorry. What was that?
>>93908 >>93910 Well, thats just PRIME.
>>93894Betting that as this goes on, he slowly regresses into blockiness.
>>93864>>93908I believe you have a new new project. If you build that on a floating island, I will help.
Server won't let me connect. :(
Guess I'll try it...
>>93924Yes, because of this.>>93823
>>93924you can play on temporary server/hardware testminecraft.plus4chan.org:11111
>>93923ok, ill wait until he ads floating biomes
>>93932because the random ones that pop up wont be able to hold somehting that big
Trying it out right now with a lets play in the backround.Have leard (on my own) that sunlight dont kill spiders or creeper and that skeletons can shot thoure doors.
>>93942 Yeaaah... I can see why you love this game but its not my thing. Will try to got to you worlds as a tourist if I can.
>>93933You can always build it on a platform then dig out underneath later. But I'm not sure he's going to add that. Because so many people already have floating buildings, I thought he said he had abandoned that idea.
Yeah that about sums it up.
Now there are gelatinous cubes in my mines.how are these monsters getting in here? Are there still hidden caves of darkness somewhere? It's so sprawling I get lost trying to get out.
Monsters would spawn in my strip mine that was more well-lit than anywhere else in my tunnel system. Monsters are huge faggots when you're not looking.
Also this new crawl/sneaking thing is a bridge building godsend.I can balance so far off the edge of a brick I can build the bridges from beneath me.
>>93979I read on the wiki that slimes can spawn in lit areas, but only do so deep underground.
Magma House is now completely coated in lava.Only conceivable problem is the lack of real windows to see out of.
So, the highway is now repaired. The rail isn't fully completed yet, but the pond house and spawn point station are equipped with minecart boosters that will get the minecart going much faster than a powered cart can, which will make using the bridge much more efficient than walking.Work on the Mysteria Road continues only as cobblestone generated by other projects is available. Will eventually lead to the now complete magma house and any other structures I build in Mysteria.
>>93997Looking good! I love infrastructure.
It's all so true...
Oh god. I found some hidden tunnels under my beaches. All that ceiling sand is making me nervous about exploring.
>>94122Put up some dirt support. That's what I do.
>>94122If you're fast enough you can easily block the holes if water comes through.
So the lighthouse got messed up. I wanted a 3x3 module of lava for the light, but I built it to fit 4x4, so it doesn't quite line up at the top.Not that you can get up there anymore.
Yeah, a lighthouse with lava for light.Just to have something on that far end of my island.
Old joke but still had to be done.
So, is there any way to make lava and water springs work in SMP without cheating right now? I've learned that if you create the spring, then put it back in the bucket and spill it somewhere else real fast, the liquid will actually stay there for a while… I was able to make entire lava lakes just with one bucket this way, but all of it was gone the next day i connected to the server. At least now i have two chests filled with lava buckets stashed for a rainy day.>>94224Dude, awesome.
I'VE GOT 64+ REDSTONEWHAT DO
>>94234Make a real working clock.
>>94233same thing happens in single player. lava just takes longer to dissipate.
Hey, I was thinking about buying minecraft, but I'm sort of confused about how to go about it. I know you pay with paypal, but what then? Do you get sent an email, or go back to the site or what?
hOLY FUCKING SHIT THISS GAME IS ADDICTIVE--Also. med trough a wall, fell down a hole,. spent 3+ hours exploring (luckily i always carry atleast 30 torches) amd trying to find my way out. Zombies start to spawn. forgot tp bring my sword... Pleasent creation turned exploration turned "survival horror". This game is amazing
>>94283You pay via the site, and then paypal will take you back to the site and tell it that you paid.
I built a glass dome underwater. No fancy tunnels or anything, you just dive in through a hole in the ceiling.I don't know what to do with it, so I take the chests from dungeons and stick them there.
>australia's best (only) TV gaming show reviewed minecraft
Notch got everything working! Now Anonex can bring up the server again.
I finally got my 3-D glasses in....the 3-D doesn't work very well.Oh well
>In the last 24 hours, 56198 people registered, and 25657 people bought the game.>25657 people bought the game in the last 24 hours
Latest carto by Anonex. Should we put out names on our area?
>>94416Wow. I had to shrink it but that came out terrible... Sorry.
>>91945Anonex, add Prevail, plz
*Snicker**Snicker*Hey, I didn't do it.
>>94416>hate hydraalso lets get a zoom up in this biatch
I'd say I've done pretty well for myself over these 17 days I've been on the server.
The road is coming along well.I built a bridge!
bring back tha damn server. im getting far too productive here
>>94425Here's the original.http://anonex.org/up/plus4craft_sep18.png>>94428I never saw what it looked like before you started the dock. Add more!
Has anyone considered combining Minecraft and Dwarf Fortress? It'd be autism ragnarok.
>>94459I'd never be able to leave my computer ever again
>>94459Notch has said that he's a big DF fan and that some of the features from DF would come to Minecraft.Somebody else has been working on a DF skin for Minecraft, although I get image duplicate messages when I try to post it....Is the server back up? I'mma gonna try anyway.
>>94459There's a mod in development, it's been mentioned in a previous plus4chan Minecraft thread.
Would love to get whitelisted so I can play with you dorks.monkeygodkiller

So, my house has been coming along (still need to build the tower part of it, and of course replace the dirt "plans"). But I could use some input regarding the main non-wood building material.I was hoping for something whitish and plain, but the problem is that snow (or cloth) ends up TOO plain, and gradations in lighting look really stark and distracting on its surface. I suppose I could go with the halfblocks again, though having stone on a beach house like this seems unfitting.
>>94508 How come you have different textures? >>94504 That explains things. My current project is galleries. Endless galleries. At least until I get bored of them. or someone starts the floating island project. I might create a warp with chests around is so people can come pick up cobblestone if they need some. I have so much.
>>94510I saw that when i warped then explored the shit out of it.you really need to simplify your exit, bro.also cheers for the coal
