I bet that when it explodes it creates water with the same radius as creepers.
fix the damn water so i can flood my man made river.also make it a friendly monster. something you can lure to an area to defend it. like chaining a troll to your gate

signs would be very useful with all the intricate tunnel systems i've dug/found. Just something to remind me that there's nothing down there or to go through the water to get delicious diamonds. fuck just imagine how bad it's going to be with infinite caves, I get lost on medium islands

Couple o' questions for you guys, in /indev/ is it possible for monsters to spawn in dark caves? Also It seems that /infdev/ has different things than /indev/ do you know how to get a bed, and what it does?

I would like a whitebeard skin for minecraft.if anyone could do this, i'd be very happy.
>>81801It's impossible to capture his manliness in the few pixels provided.>>81796I'll assume you meant Door for that first one.
>>81807mayhaps one day it'll be possible, and also yes; I meant doors.
>>81808Notch would need to change how many pixels make up a texture, and that would probably cause the whole game to run slower.Maybe if you had the mustache wrap around slighty, you could sort of make the head, but I don't know how you'd do the coat.
>>81809really? i've seen things that stick off of a miner, like usually ears or something but I figured it could work for his moustache, it worked for my daft punk skin, his eyes pop right out of the head so I figured a moustache would be possible.
http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Airlockholy fuck this is geniusputting two doors together should make a set of souble doors
>>81837Yeah, I know what you're talking about. That portion of the skin wraps around the head, so you can have glasses or helmets. But it isn't big enough to make a distinctive mustache. Whitebeard's mustache is the most recognizable part of his face, but because of how few pixels we have to work with, it would float in front of his face at best and be impossible to tell apart from his eyes at worst.
http://www.minecraftforum.net/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=13134&hilit=Cartographerthis is an awesome little tool. maps out your entire infdev map.also has a ores only feature, which i intend to use to harvest a fuckload of diamonds

Is there some kind of easy tutorial for this like there is for Dwarf Fortress?
>>83721It's pretty easy to get into. The only thing you'd need to look at is the minecraft wiki crafting page.
what were the secrets in the update
Good idea or bad idea?Either way, I'm open to suggestions.
>>83804Well, since you can now run out of air while underground, Orc mode is suicide.Elf mode sounds a lot like Kobold Fortress.
>>83861I thought that was what happened if you burried yourself. If that's the case, I supose an airhole would work.
>>83861>>83864Just checked, and the suffocation thing only happens if you bury yourself in sand or gravel. This was really just a concept. Something to try to make the game more challenging or interesting like that pokemon nuzlocke run. Nothing big, just something to try if you're bored while waiting for updates.Updates like rideable mine carts.
>>83895...YES. That would save me so much time. Also, ladders have made tower building a breeze. I'm going to try and see if I can ride clouds.
>>83704It could add an additional challenge. You'd have to find a big flatland in order to start building a fort instead of just building it wherever you want. But what i really want is some kind of chisel so you could carve stuff out of stone. My fort will never be complete without a fountain in form of a naked nymphs and a giant statue of me in the back garden.>>83897Yoiu can't ;_;
>>83897...I forgot ladders existed. That would have made my Tower To The Heavens a whole lot easier.I kept falling down, and the entrance to the cavern that led into it was like one block hidden by an alcove and it was just terrible.
>>82432I admit. I have only played multiplayer, and then it hasn't had any of this sweet looking stuff. I haven't played much Minecraft at all: Is it good?
>>83966I enjoy it. For me, it provides that relaxation I get when I'm sitting around building with legos. But instead of legos, it's building blocks, and instead of THAT ONE PIECE, it's ORE.Turning on Survival Mode turns it into Dwarf Fortress: The FPS. And that's pretty awesome.
Oh, by the way guys, i need your opinion here:FIRE ARROWS. Good idea or bad idea?
>>84013I can't think of a single point in history where being able to light somebody on fire from a long distance has been a bad idea.
>>84013First he needs to make arrows easier to craft. Possibly by getting rid of feathers entirely and maybe make arrowheads be able to be made out of any of the "strong" materials (Stone, iron, diamond, even gold etc)
>>84023Actually, it's exactly what i was going for. Iron isn't the most rare ore in the game, but with carts and railroads, it's getting even harder to spare some of it for arrows. So what we do is we create another kind of arrows, which do a different (arguably weaker) kind of damage and require more common materials to craft. And using gunpowder instead of coal will grant that the player won't be able to craft hundreds of them right after he finds his first coal vein.
>use a hack to fill inventory with tnt>give fortress a V for Vendetta style send of before Notch kills the saves>Notch saves the saves

>>84147i have decided that i shall start a new world, and using the same hacks i destroyed the old one with, craft a crater to hold a new , better cityIDEAS TIEM:new , neutral monster: the cave troll. three blocks tall an two wide. live underground and digs its own tunnels so theres a chance it will dig into you, not the other way around. wont attack on sight, but if you think you can take one down they cary a lot of ores and high end tools.pic related, its the Chronometer: kinda like on Majoras Mask, it adds a semicircle to the HUD which shows the position of the sun in the sky. usefull if you spend only the nights underground. i know i used to retreat to the mines at sunset only to come back out at the next days sunset.fuckhuge caves which are like a second subterranean surface, complete with unique plants and animalsfix the water so that flow length on a flat surface is relative to the volume of water feeding it. so you dont get places where the ocean just ends if you excavate the coast the wrong way.Directional Charges: built like regular tnt, but you put 3 iron along the top. only explodes when it lands (no mid air explosions, only falls straight down and doesn't explode upwards at all. triggering the bottom one will arm any touching it
Thinking about buying, but I was wondering...Does it still cause laptops to overheat like a motherfucker?
>>84181Afraid so. Or at least for me it still does… Did you already tried indev or infdev? It was kind of a deal sealer for me.
>>84185I've watched a little on youtube. It does look really fun.But the issue with overheating is kind of a deal breaker for me. Last time I played, my computer shut down because of the heat. Stuff like that kinda curbs any fun I might have, yeah?

>>84035>>84023Even better idea would be flint arrowheads. Just like what our ancestors used.Would also give Gravel more of a use, since you can slowly convert it into flint with constant laying down and redigging. Though i'd prefer if the Furnace would do it instead, for sake of sanity.
Er, probably a newbie question, but, hypothetically, were one to die, and lose track of his base, would there be a way to relocate it, aside from endlessly hunting?
wow, the new update is balls. I'm BARELY getting 15 fps when I used to get atleast 50 fps on the highest setttings

>>84579You find a saddle, which is in a secret room that randomly spawns underground.
>>84611Yes, but how do I use the saddle? Is it reusable? How do I take it off once it's placed? The wiki seems to assume you already know how to do all of this, which really annoys me.
>>84645I've never found one. I've searched for years and haven't found it
Guys, I dug too greedily and too deep and ended up going through the bottom of the map in infdev. Contrary to popular belief, the map is not, in fact, infinite. My question is, how do I get out of here?
>>84716The hole I fell through, directly above me. I'm not falling down infinitely, I'm sort of hovering at a wobbling height some distance below... Well... Everything.
>>84719Some lava off in the distance, apparently not nearly as gravity-prone as I am.If I have to restart because of this I will be pretty bummed out.
>>84720Try building a tower beneath you with all that stone you have? Even if you can't make it to the hole you fell through, you should be able to get high enough to kill yourself by jumping off.Assuming you can jump.
>>84724Can't jump, can't place anything, can't reach anything, can't even move. I can look around, and I can drop things, causing them to rapidly freak out back and forth at a static height. snow levels.
Those new sounds are creeping me the hell out.
Oh the weather outside is frightful, But the fire is so delightful,And since we've no place to go,Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!~
this is my only major problem with the water physics. oh sure, if it did this into a bottomless pit in the middle of the ocean it would be cool. but not on my man made lake...
>>86003>>86099How much of the world is affected by snow? All of it?
>>86122anything directly under the sky. Either snow spawns on the ground or ice on water.
Oh man, i spent entire night just standing on the top of my fortress, looking at the snow fall while listening to George Winston's «December» album… I can't recall when i had this incredible level of immersion with a video game last time. This is so awesome.I also made this little snow terrain reskin, since grass and green leaves were annoying the hell out of me. Although my normal summer worlds now look like wastelands.
>>86129George Winston is awesome, December is my favorite of his albums, I agree entirely about the immersion, and those are some kick-ass textures. While I understand about the green leaves bothering you, for me the green grass is more realistic. I can't remember ever not finding grass under the snow, although I guess since the entire in-game world is ice and snow, grass wouldn't make sense.
>>86135Fuck yeah, George Winston! I liked his early blues recordings slightly more, though. December is absolutely incredible, but i can fully appreciate it only when I'm in a certain mood, it's just a bit too lyrical for my everyday playlist. Oh, and roughly 90% of all these textures are from SMP's HD realistic pack, which i compressed in 512x512. I only added the snow textures and slightly tweaked blocks i didn't liked. Just thought i'd give the original author some credit.>I can't remember ever not finding grass under the snowWell, finding green grass under the layer of snow for places where i live would be a certain sign of climate catastrophe taking place. I guess i just measure stuff by my own yardstick, or whatever the idiom is.
Since a lot of people are starting new maps with the Snow Update, let's share some tips on what not to do. For instance, digging straight down below your spawn is a bad idea, as more often than not when you respawn you will fall into the bottomless pit you just dug.
i was demolishing an ancient stone circle when i found this cave beneath it.what do?

>>86880More like AWESOME idea! Also, quick question: Does TNT work under water?
Also, secret Friday update includes new trees, cacti, boats made of fiberglass and balsa wood, and now sheeps and pigs can only spawn on grass. No more mines full of pigs!
>>86891I think it did when I tried the trial version.>>86892HNNNNNG this game keeps getting more awesome. I want it, sooo bad.
>>86891 no tnt does not work under water yea i had some ideas to . yet a other day and i got board and made a 27x27 saur plane of tnt and then build up 1 in on a other plane of tnt untill i got a pyrmid (tryed to blo it up but it crashes the game. any way to un do tnt? wit out boom part.
I SWEAR to god, he improved the terrain generator. Before this update it always took me for about five or ten reboots to simply generate something different from a plain surface. And now i spend my first day just walking around and exploring, because each new world is more beatiful than the previous one. And there are TWICE as much caves. They're goddamn EVERYWHERE.I don't know how i feel about boats though. Ocean used to be this merciless blue abyss of doom, and now sailing suddenly turned into the fastest, easiest AND cheapest way of transportation.
>>85741hello friends, it's me. I thought you might like to know i'm making a new one of these giants seeing as i've accumulated another large amount of cobblestone. Should be done by tomorrow so you can see the whole thing.
>>86994>>87043Oh man those are beautiful.Yeah I always like to look around for the perfect spot to start my base. This location, with its impressive natural bridge, waterfall, and overhang, called out to me. I'm still not sure how I'm going to furnish or organize the interior of this windowed area, but it'll come eventually.
>>87073That's a lot of glassssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss
I wish I could build cool things. I always end up doing the same thing: run way out into the water, make (or re purpose) and island, and build myself an unassailable doom tower that can only be entered via underwater tunnel (or digging).
I really want to give this a shot....does it still cause laptops to overheat?

>>87443Why yes i am.
my computer crashed while i was playing. my main world rebooted itself. everything i built is safe, and my chests are intact.BUT: the spawn point is now miles away from anything i've built. my inventory was deleted. oh and ITS FUCKING SNOWING NOW. all my roads are now invisible. i cant work on my underwater building because the surface would seal off above me.on the bright side i may be able to use buckets to make a layer of ice across the valley behind my dam, in the hopes theres a way to turn off snow in the future
>>87454Good on ya.>>87462Have you tried contacting Notch about the problem? If he can't fix it, then at least he can help prevent it in future updates.
im just digging out a path around it
Struck by inspiration, I dug a shaft almost straight down from my fortress. Result? 50+ Redstones, 12 Gold, 2 Diamonds, a Golden Apple, 2 Saddles, and a box that infinitely spawns spiders. In response, I dug another shaft going almost straight up. Result? Apparently Slimes appear regardless of difficulty level. Since my quarry is now filled with slimes, I have been given a unique chance to study them.Big slimes are huge. Those break into four smaller slimes. Those break into even smaller slimes. And they swarm you. And kill you. If you manage to break THOSE, though, you get the smallest, harmless slime. Those can't hurt you. But they can hop into you and shove you off a ledge into a pit of big slimes.Notch really is a mad genius.
> you can't do anything with bamboo other than craft paper> you can't do anything with paper other than craft books> you can't even WRITE in books> you can't do anything with books other than craft book shelves> bookshelves do nothing and leave nothing when destroyed> milk still does nothing> clay is rare to the point of non-existence> hence brickwall blocks are so hard to craft that you might as well just make your house out of diamondOh, the excitement!

Ok, perhaps I'm being a huge asshole, but seriously, i loved those updates much more, when there was ONE thing, implemented RIGHT, not thousand of unfinished crap that will probably take four more updates to even make any sense. I would be happy with just a new monster and cactus retexture, really.

So I just got the actual game after playing in classic multiplayer with friends for a whole day. I know that there is a world above me but my dwarven ancestors guide me further and further down. I wanted to build up, that's why I started to build into a mountain, so I can use it as a base to then go upwards. But by then I realized it was already to late. Down and down I go, only returning to the surface during the day so I can gather more wood to make more pickaxes.
So Dirk and I are going to turn Mountains into Caverns 2.Also I'm sponging out all the water in Grasslands. Except for the water around Anonex's boat, because he gets mad about that. I think it's the Dwarf Fortress player in me that insists all Mega-projects be destructive in some fashion.
>>88261>/spheroid stone hollowUm... What? You're talking about MineEdit or it's some kind of pre-existing in-game feauture?
>>88299Now that looks just grand.>>88301Eh, I'm against walling up the sides. The sky's already covered and looks AWESOME. After seeing all the threads on the TF2 forum, I think a demo of the alpha is needed. The comments there beg belief.I made a suggestion for it, if you'd like to vote. http://goo.gl/mod/oIxY
So before Hydra moved in and destroyed it (staircase too), I DID see how much you'd managed to expand my little obsidian platform Dirk and goddamn son. I guess you were using a flying hack or something?
>>88338Wait, Hydra destroyed the Obsidian cloud, AND your pyramid? But Anonex and I made that cloud! I'd done all the way around the edges when he generated it using his phenomenal cosmic powers! And if you want to fly, just type /fly. Again, awesome server software.
>>88339The pyramid is still there, but the cloud and stairs are gone. He also appears to have flooded all the the areas I sponged and dammed off in Grasslands. That second bit might have been Anonex though, considering that my build permission seems to have been removed.
Just thought I’d show you guys this castle from early updates. The world it’s from is really out-dated so I’m going to delete it.

I was digging through gravel, right? You destroy the lower blocks, the block above it falls down. Apparently, once you get a couple blocks above the clouds, you can no longer collide with blocks: You just walk right through them. Every block below this invisible line is fine, so I didn't fall too far, but it puts a cramp in my plans for a magical sky forest above the clouds (in the hopes that Notch eventually implements unicorns).>>88675Which level? >>88778Pretentious fucks ruining the best thing about Minecraft.
http://notch.tumblr.com/post/902190310/minecraft-alpha-server-0-1-0
I'll host an "official" plus4chan multiplayer survival server as soon as I get a job and allow myself to pay for minecraft/games/things other than rent & utilities. (hopefully very soon)
Huh, cool, I can host a survival server.Sadly I can't keep it on all the time as the computer's in my room.
>>88867That's the main reason the p4c creative server's been down since last year; I only just got an extra machine to use as a dedicated server.
>>88842Not that rent and utilities aren't important, but once Minecraft hits Beta it's going to increase in price.Have a thing.
>>88899Forget tshirts, I would love a large poster of that image for my wall.
So I was on an SMP server, digging randomly down to the bottom and then back up (on my last pickaxe!). And when I finally surfaced, I found this.The tragic thing is that I can't find any recognizable landmarks and the server had to restart, so any chance of finding this wonderful structure again is probably lost. ;_;
Charles Barkley Memorial Stadium on the Flantland level is complete.Pain in the ass without fly.
So I was digging an ever-downward spiral, waiting for my glass to finish smelting, while also looking for coal.I saw a coal vein. I dug out the first block. It was hiding the entrance to a large gravel cave.Naturally, I hop down, and look around. Coal. Coal fucking everywhere.I start mining everything in sight, when I see a single iron ore block at the base of a gravel wall. I mine it. The column of gravel above it falls. The falling gravel creates a doorway in the wall. Beyond the doorway is a creeper nest. I get fucking bullrushed, and die terribly.Swimming back to my base, I began to mourn the loss of my pickaxes, as I had brought many with me on my downwards voyage. I enter my base, climb down, and approach the cavern I'd been in. I peer into it. The torches I'd set up were gone, and I couldn't see anything. I partially seal up the entrance. I stop. Wonder if I could live with myself if I let it end here."Fuck it," says I. "I am a man!" I unseal the cavern, leap down, quickly seal up the creeper nest, and start to gather up my belongings. The creepers that exploded destroyed a large chunk of the cavern, and, in addition to the 15-odd coal I'd already mined, 10-20 more had been unearthed by the creepers exploding. A handful of flint was lying about, and the single iron ore lay near the wall that separated me and the creepers. I gathered my prizes, and was about to climb back up to the main part of my base when I saw it. A massive tunnel lead away from the cavern, begging to be explored. But I had no time for that. I had glass to collect. Cities to create with it. I used the gravel created by the exploding creepers to lift myself out of the cavern, and seal it off.Perhaps I'll go exploring that tunnel someday.Perhaps.
>>88912Eh, you'll find better. SMP terrain generator makes a lot of stuff like this. Also,> last pickaxeYou do know that you can drop the broken item and it will be picked up as the new one?

>>88930You drop your half-broken pickaxe/sword/shovel/axe/hoe on the ground, you pick it up from the ground, you receive your item fully repaired, as easy as that. It's one of the many bugs in SMP right now.

>>88952You have unleashed AWESOME. There were an unlimited number of different versions of this same skin, but this was the only one that gave you any credit (and was the best) so I saved it.There was one with a bowler and monocle, but the mustache interfered with that Creeper face we love and fear so very very much.Check the thread Notch linked to on his blog, and so many of the pictures have somebody using this skin. > Can't get back to multiplayer because with diamond tools at the start and furnaces not working, it just turned into creative mode with fancier shadows, more lava, explosions and lag> Can't get back to singleplayer because it feels too lonely and pointless after you get the taste of multiplayerI…I'm CURED! Time to do something that is not related to Minecraft!
>>89117Wait, you get diamond tools at the beginning? How come I never noticed this?Everything is related to Minecraft.
>>89125So far i tried 6 different servers and on 4 of them i either received them as a standard starting equipment or could request it from admin any time i felt like it. But anyway, you can get free iron bars on ANY server at almost any given time by typing "/iron" and, well, iron tools are almost as good as diamond ones, so it's not much difference.
don't like not being able to smelt?request a lit furnace at the start, they work fine.
>>89135in SMP, when your tools are close to degrading press q to drop them then pick them up, you now have a fully repaired tool.Fuck diamond, who needs that shit when you have INDESTRUCTIBLE IRON.
>>89303Uh… Yeah, that's what i was stating like 10 posts ago.
I noticed that there's a bridge under construction from the floating island in SMP. Looking good!Started building a tower in between that and where you spawn; these two square vertical pits are perfect for a set of twin towers. And I just realized the resemblance between the towers I intend to build and the WTC buildings. One of them was going to be made out of sand to start with, for easy destruction later, when they got the physics right.
>>89303It's always worth making diamond tools for the slight speed increase and higher durablity (so you don't have to constantly refresh them).Really though, I just keep the code for a full tool as copypasta for saves, Since things aren't stable enough for competitive play. Nothing's as rage inducing as dying inside your own pit because a few blocks respawned from lag.
Is there any way to save your inventory in SMP? Getting new tools/coal every time I login is getting a bit tedious.

Wheeeeee
whitelist cannabust please?
Can you whitelist PhredLevi?
I think my vision of the minecart shaft is coming together.I just need a ton more iron.
I stole some rail from that bridge I built earlier. It totally works. Up isn't as fun as Down is, though.
Okay, is there like, a comprehensive Redstone tutorial somewhere? I typically try to go at this game with trial and error, but this shit just confuses me.
>>90970This guy plays with it for a bit.I wasn't very interested in restone, so all I used it for was to build a path from my spawn hut to my lake base.Although that's been rendered obsolete with my badass rail bridge connecting the two buildings.
My minecart shaft hit lava.I'm going to have to think about how I want to handle this.
DARN IT.
>>91003Oh awesome, thanks. Those two videos answered two of my questions at once, that was convenient.
It's time to connect my minecart shaft with the currently rail-less rail bridge. It may be a little tricky.
Wow, why haven't I done this before?I'm going to have to build a sky tower so I can climb up this high all the time.
Minecraft has really let me live out my childhood obsession with buildings connected via underground tunnels and my teenage obsession with buildings connected via aboveground catwalks.
Trying to upgrade the standard canal system with flowing water. It's a lot faster and you can just let the boat drift through it.Could use a better item then switches to block the water though. They make that annoying click as you pass them and worse, debris from crashed boats will sit on them.
>>91050Wow, that's cool.My latest project is the SKY TOWER.It's going to go all the way up with a glass viewing room.I've excavated the lakebed surrounding the tower so it will be perfectly safe to jump off of.
Such humble beginnings. And now I don't even use the hut anymore now that the highway provides relatively safe transport from the hut to the other buildings. The game's fault for always spawning me on the roof rather than inside.
IT IS COMPLEEETE.So much coal and wood was used to make all that stone and glass.Towers are great. I love that you can build over the clouds.
(I keep posting, don't I?)I love to look upon my island at night.Everything the light touches is my kingdom.I'll be sad if torches are made non-permanent without any permanent alternative.
Whitelisted prevail, cardinair, danhurr, cannabust, phredlevi.Apologies for delay.Important SMP commands:/kit welcomepack 2*Iron Pickaxe 1*Boat (can get every half hour)/kit torches 64*Torch (every 15 minutes)/kit iron 2*Iron (5 minutes)/spawn teleport to global respawn point./sethome sets your "home"/home teleport to your home (stays between logins)Persister.jar:http://www.minecraftforum.net/viewtopic.php?f=1012&t=25214(doesn't work for me, maybe you'll have better luck)Remember, don't fuck with people's shit. Ore in caves is fair game, but people are stockpiling iron/gold ore on the surface for when furnaces work again. It's suggested you make your own pile wherever you set up camp.
>>91070Man I wish I had time for this game...
They say you have to place persister in the same location as the minecraft.exe. It's worked for me.My handle is Mr_Ru
>>91080Added.Side note, my internet's been going down for 5 minutes at a time 2-3 times a day; I'm working on getting my service provider to fix that shit.In the meantime, if you want to check when the server goes up/down, you can add me to aim/msn (anonex@plus4chan.org for both), as those go on/off along with the server.Dirk, if you're around reading this, I'm standing on the clay you disconnected at and can teleport you to it if you log back on.
I think I've made a pretty good mark on my little island I call home.
>>91088Yeah, sorry about that. Minecraft crashed. Apparently, you can make clay blocks! But putting them in your inventory will make SMP freak the fuck out. Four stacks of stone, gone.Logging back in right now, though. That freaky island won't esplore itself!
I found my first dungeon! I claimed a Saddle, some steel, a couple of buckets and a golden apple as my loot.
>>91070tried to join the server and it says i'm not on the whitelist.
The Sky Tower now has a glass viewing room of sorts. My next goal is to explore the cave system near Sky Tower Lake. It's size is staggering, and there's still so much more to explore.
Dammit Anonex there was clay right next to the spawnRight there in the waterAnd now I have itAlso Senor or whoever built that awesome bridge, great job. Really looking great and the grass is just the right touch.
There's something interesting hiding under that chest!
Being the king of being easily sidetracked, I built a bridge to connect my island with that mysteriously huge continent and then named the two landmasses Birth Island and Mysteria.Basically all my structures are labelled with signs.Signs are great.
So what do you think, /cog/? Can it be done in Alpha? It would be easy in Creative, what with the omnipresent light, and the ability to use obsidian, but...I'm thinking it could be a hollow cobblestone sphere, the black squares being where there's nothing/glass on the face, giving a small window into the dark sphere, giving the illusion of blackness, while lava provides glowing eyes, and iron blocks, the teeth, but...if it's staring down at you, how do you see the details? It would provide shade for its own face, making it look like a huge black circle. But if you dotted it with torches to illuminate it, well, you'd be able to see the torches, and that is lame. How do?
>>91143You could make the eyes out of lava behind glass. For the black parts you could try casting obsidian, maybe?
The whitelist accidentally reverted to an old version temporarily; it's fixed, cannabust cardinair and the like can all log in now. Sorry.
It's come to my attention that some of you don't know about minecraft cannons.
Dammit I disconnected again. I'm giving up for today.Anonex, there are some really cool anomalies up north. Weird lines of light underwater, bordered by pitch-black areas. And right of the spawn there's this little block that... Yeah, you'll recognize it when you see it.SMP confirmed for Chernobyl.
Finally got around to buying it. Yay.
Whitelisted madomen.
The rail bridge is compleeeete. Now I can start using the iron I mine for things that are probably more important like tools and armour. There is a few blips when it comes to how low the spawn hut is compared to the other buildings the bridge connects.Clearly I should rebuild the bridge and make the hut taller. Can you call a tall hut a hut?
Gyargh. I decided to explore Mysteria and found a way cool tunnel deep in it. I was doing well, and even bested a dungeon, when I heard, but didn't see a spider. After searching the area, I decided it must be inside the walls and tried to dig, only to be attacked from behind and killed. So much iron and I have no idea how to get back to iiit.Better stick to Birth Island mining for now.
>>91194Aw shit, It crashed when I tried to save and check the map on cartograph and now my world isn't loading right.MY WOOOOORLD.
What happened?Stuff is missing now!I should have been paying more attention to the low disk space warnings, I think I somehow was so short on room that I couldn't save my world.
Whyyyy.Union Bridge is broken, Rail Highway is broken, only the front wall of the Minecart shaft is there, the entrance to island greenhouse is there, but not the greenhouse itself...And Pond House doesn't look right from this map. This is the kind of thing that might depress me from playing for a while.
MY HOME.This is terrible. The only structure intact is the Sky Tower. If I can't revert this, then there's nothing here for me anymore.I'll move to the mysterious new land.
Gonna keep regenerating my level until I get fucking snow.
>>91196If Minecraft crashes while your map is open, weird things happen.Which is why you back up your map after every big project.
>>91266I suppose that sounds reasonable.I guess I should be thankful that it can just re-regenerate the corrupted parts instead of just being completely unplayable.
This makes me want to rebuild my island, but this time make the rail bridge connect directly into the minecart shaft's rail to the bottom, and then go to a second minecart shaft to climb back up and connect to the pond house to create one big loop.
Woah, freaky.Even though some of the buildings aren't there anymore, some of the light that their torches would have generated is.
i had a dream about minecraft. it showed me how to solve a problem i've been having with my ice which could actually work. it also showed me building a ridiculously huge hanger like structure. who am i to disobey my dreams?
So I was innocently sealing off a crafting room in the front of my mine when I noticed an odd black area on the ceiling.I broke off the square next to it there was more black so I mistakenly thought it was simply a barren bit of night sky I had missed. When I placed dirt to cover it, I died.Needless to say I was confused and a bit angry but I wasn't that far from spawn so there wasnt too much of a problem. When I got back to where I had died my stuff was no where to be found.I safely stood away from the deadly black area that still existed and smashed at it.It was a boatEmbedded in the ceiling of a mountainAnd it ate my items. That is all.
Anonex,I found that geographical landmark you were talking about, with the skylight.I have claimed it as my own.Prepare to be out-fagged.-kNOWREDGE
