Also I like the new look.

>>84097>Blue piping on the Batsuit.>Batsuit looks like X-TREME sports gear.>Completely invalidates the ideal 'Batman as an urban legend' thing. My opinion is meh.
http://dcu.blog.dccomics.com/2010/08/11/brace-yourself-for-the-all-new-batman-the-brave-and-the-bold-series/
>>84129When....The Hell did you stop reading Batman? Batman has NOT been an urban legend for SO. FUCKING. RIDICULOUSLY. LONG.Costume probably won't stick around for long, but enjoy the change while it lasts.
>>84137Eh, the urban legend thing is really a writer's preference thing. It comes and goes.Hell, it seems that Detective Comics and Batman: The Dark Knight will be playing the urban legend card at least a bit at the same time as INC.
>>84137Maybe not officially, but at least it maintained that earlier aesthetic. This costume makes it look like he 'needs' protecting, whereas the earlier costumes didn't look so overtly armored.
BATMAN: THE DARK KNIGHT #1Written by DAVID FINCHArt by DAVID FINCH & SCOTT WILLIAMSCover by DAVID FINCH1:25 Variant cover by ANDY CLARKE1:200 Sketch variant cover by DAVID FINCHComics superstar David Finch takes full creative control (both writing and illustrating!) on this brand-new Batman monthly series! Please see the Previews Order Form for more information. On sale NOVEMBER 24 • 32 pg, FC, $3.99 USThis one I probably won't be picking up, but the cover shows the new costume in a different light.
>>84151>>84097Alternate cover for INC. by the Paquette and another take on the new costume.
>>84151>>84152>Giant Cod pieceLets just stick with the OP pic.
>>84152Well... maybe I could be persuaded to like it.We'll see.
>>84158Didn't notice until you pointed it out.Yeah, that's pretty blatant.
Pro: Underpants on the inside? Outrageous!Cons: Twenty-pound brass batlogo on chest and beltbuckle; hope they have a function of some sort. Gloves and boots look like something Ben Grimm used to wear. PIPING.>>84130AROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOGAHLooks superior to STAS Supes (/blasphemy)
>>84182(actually checks out link)Oh, wait. Comic book. Not toon. Not World's Finest: Teh Animated Series.Warners, I am disappoint.
Is Grant Morrison on contract for Batman or are they just keeping him on until sales drop sufficiently to get him fired? If the former, how much more is there?
>>84198>firedThat's not gonna happen. He'll just leave when he's done with the story he's telling.
>>84201So when's that going to be? Soon?
>>84202Thankfully No.
>>84205Well, at least Bruce is back, anyway. That's some comfort.
So Bruce and Dick will both be Batman, but they'll have slightly different costumes? I'm okay with this.
>>84208No. Dick will be downgraded to Azrael 2. Officially, I mean, not just de facto.
>>84210Fwhaaat?What about the current Azrael? Has he died? Why would Dick take his mantle instead of going back to being Nightwing?
>>84162>blatantNo. "Blatant" would mean it has a huge batsymbol on it. (inb4 "batpole" jokes)
I tried really hard to like the new costume, but i can't. It's horrible, they took one step forward and a six mile hike fucking back. The whole goddamn point of redesigns is to make characters look more MODERN, not drag them back to the bronze age. That said, this is the only thing i hate about the new Batman titles so far, everything else sounds totally awesome.
>>84110 >Who is the White Knight? It better not be Jason Todd again. I'd like to see him come back, but not as a lame, overdramatic villian.
>>84097Excited for this>>84100Probably getting this no matter what>>84101>Gordon co-featureFUCK, NOW I HAVE TO GET THIS TOO>>84110Dammit DC, you are so lucky I'm probably gonna get this job. So lucky.>>84130Okay, THIS is something I GOTTA buy.Probably gonna add Batgirl, too, because I'm hearing enough good stuff and Dustin Nguyen is my favorite Batbook artist right now.
>>84198Morrison has said that he's going to do two full years of Batman Inc. and then he's done all his Batman work and told all the stories he wanted to tell. But then again he was supposed to leave the Batbooks with RIP before he got more story ideas. And later was supposed to leave the batbooks after Batman and Robin #12 before he got more story ideas.
