Oh shhhiiiiii-
dat cat has 3 legs
What comic is this?
>>47020Bad Machinery.Sort of a spin-off from Scary Go Round.>>47015Could you explain the context of this?I frankly haven't begin to read this one.
>strickly Oh come on.
>>47024She's young. She frequently speaks in kid-speak.
>>47021Not Op but i went back a few strips and found this one
>>47029That's no excuse
I still have no idea what is going on.
>>47044Russian poor-man-turned-millionaire-through-hard-work tried to buy an old neighborhood to tear it down and build a stadium.Local cat lady with a few loose nuts refuses to move out, even when she is offered a good deal. She refuses to move because it goes against her ideals to let the rich do as they please. The millionaire resorts to cooking stinky cabbages outside her home to scare her out.Local school girls manage to get the media's attention on the situation and now the public is against the rich man.The rich man is also being haunted by a demon that has cursed his family for generations, he is also being haunted by his wife... who is alive but angry. Now we are led to believe he has snapped and done something to the old lady.
>>47085Rich people are evil! Down with rich people!
>>47095Not precisely.The guy doesn't look genuinely evil to me.Who knows what's planning...?
He's going to take the old lady out on a date and theyll get married :3
>>47145...Oh look, she's riding...in.... the trunk...
>>47158Did not see any glimpses of a person actually in the trunk, I stand by my estimations.
wtf
>>47158Maybe the "likho"/ binbag and paper plate?
Things are rollin' in a interesting way, I must say.
He throws the old woman off and then realizes he's made a terrible mistake. He's left witnesses.littlegirlsbeingbeatentodeath.jpg
>>49154 If its not like the one anime I saw a review of thats was like Gantz meats Brats but supernatural...monstermangetsbashwithplank.gif
>>49252This.Right here.It is the best comic.
We really ought to officially declare John Allison the King of Webcomics.
>>49261 But what about Tom Sidell, or Kate Beaton, or Evan Dahm, or the Nicolle bros.?
>>49276Knife fight.
>>49261 What about http://www.romanticallyapocalyptic.com/home ?
>>49276Or Andrew Hussie, or Jeffrey Rowland, or Jeph Jacques?
>>49359>>49291>>49276>>49261Why can't we just have a board of webcomic elders (and one younger) instead of choosing one monarch to rule all of webcomics?
>>49366Wasn't there a comic about that? Where they told the one guy who makes that kinda boring comic people read for the OCD girl that he had to finish it by turning it into hardcore pornography?
>>49400Questionable Content.Never saw that one, though I can see how it could end in hardcore pornography. Hell, ANY comic can easily be concluded with hardcore pornography, mainstream comics included.
>>49401>>49400>>49366I remember, it was SMBC guest comic on QC.The Webcomics IIlluminati. The would be awesome.>>49359Frankly, in my opinion QC is pretty munch hit n' miss.
OH SNAP
Mystery Solved!Rrrright? Also, oh you Mildred. :3
>>49895Looks like everything worked out for the best!
>>49912
>>49895God she's malevolent looking...
>>50021I'm liking Mildred more and more.
>>50130Now I'm just confused.
>>50130Me too!
>>50130Officially most adorable little old lady cycloptic demon monster ever. Please stay.>>50158>>50160Why? What is confusing?
>>50130>>50160Mildred is delightful.
YOU RUSSIAN ORANGE BITCH
>>50263And just like that, Jana becomes my favorite character.
>>50263Ah. Now it's not confusing anymore.
>Tampa Bay CrazymenLOL
>>50266>And just like that, Jana becomes my favorite character.Yeah, I like her much better now that I've seen her sow the seeds of mayhem and hack with her feet. For some reason, 'destructive and evil' is vastly preferable to 'spoiled and irritating'!
>>50263I know "it's just a comic strip," but I ain't buyin' this. Sure, "I just wanted him to notice me so I murdered people to ruin his life--in secret" is shorthand for "Hell hath no fury! Vagina!!," but contrary to Hollywood and Toho Studios, satellites are in no way capable of atmospheric flight guidance. You could bring one down, but you couldn't pinpoint it's crash site. And even choosing a general site would require heavy astrophysics in addition to mad hacker skills. And wouldn't someone capable of that be able to get herself situated in Florida all by herself, sans baggage?...I'm thinking too much, aren't I?
>>50409yes
>>50409She was hacking the satellite WITH HER TOES.
>>50409>>And wouldn't someone capable of that be able to get herself situated in Florida all by herself, sans baggage?Maybe she actually loves Yuri?
A proper punishment.
>>50930>A proper punishment.Tell that to the footballers. TELL THAT TO THE GNOME AREA.It won't be long before they figure out why Crazy Bitch is becoming Crazier Bitchier Crazy Bitch and then it's right back to the roof again. Also, who was the Likho that was flitting about the gnome area, then, if not Mrs. Biscuits? You could go with the alternate, "bin bag" explanation, except that we clearly saw the Likho ourselves.Ah, I'm griping, but I'm also completely in love with this strip right now.
>>50944 You had too much wine at that party too.
>>50946I did? It must've been a good party, I don't remember it. Did I get laid? I kinda remember, like, all these tattoos.
Well, at least Linton is happy.
>>51053Course done right you can scalp those so many each season
>>51055YeahThough I don't think the rest would be interested in the world of reselling tickets or whatever is called it.
Aw God, I don't know what's more delightful; Mrs. Biscuit's SQUEE reaction, or the kitty in the window.luvluvluvluvluvluv...Say, wasn't Erin condemned to some Hell dimension back in SGR? Somebody's askin' for trouble.
>>51124 From TV Tropes:>In Scary Go Round, Erin Winters disappears through a portal to Hell as an unintended result of her sister Shelley saving the universe. She's confident that Shelley will rescue her, but Bob Crowley tells her that now she's "no longer part of the universe we knew" everyone will soon forget her. Sadly, this seems to be true so far... >* After insistence from John Allison for over two years that she would never return, Erin had a print minicomic, "Erin Winters and the Bone Throne (of Bones)" and has now popped up in his new comic Bad Machinery as a rookie journalist. She's yet to interact with anyone she knew in her old existence, though! http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/RetGone
>>51128She's not the only character to get the ol' heave-ho.
>>51153Wait...WHAT?
>>51155I'm not sure if your confusion is sourced from the characters, or the fact that they've been removed from the story entirely, but here's an old Bobbins strip if it helps rectify the former.
>>50951 That depends. Do you have Herpes?
>>51156So, these old characters where replaced with look-alike robots controlled by roaches?OH SNAP
>>51157For longer than I can remember.
And c'est fini.:3
See ya then!
People still read this?
>>51777No, someone started a discussion that the rest of us perpetuated purely to piss you off.Mission Accomplished.
>>51786Fuck yes, victory party at Dairy Queen. I'm buying.
>>51786Chill, man.
>>51792But then I won't get free ice cream from Dr. Joe....or WILL I?
nyam nyam nyam
hoodee hiddelee humberbumb
>>53228GOD DAMN YOU SONNY GOD DAMN YOU TO HELL
I understand Shauna's mum.
>>53369NIGHTMARE MAN PUFFS.When you love your child enough to feed him the very best.
Nice hair Mildred.
I think Mildred is turning partway into Mini-Shelley, possibly with an even thinner veneer of sanity. I do not oppose this development.
Test icicles.Hahahah.
>>54530Goddammit, now I can never eat meatballs again.RESPECK.
>>54530medicore band but i appreciate their intention
>>54546Well, they sound good enough for me.
>>54579Yeah, I'm diggin' this shit.
Is this Scott Pilgrim?
>>54620Kinda
Would you two top arguing and pick a ride already?
>>54697Sorry, I can't hear you, I'm distracted by Jack's eyes in that upper right panel.I can't tell if it's a mistake, or intentional because Jack's being silly, or if I'm having a seizure.
>>54715I think is just Jack messing up Linton.
Is it weird that I like BM more than I like SGR?
>>54870Not at all; I still can't get into SGR but took to BM (uh) like a duck to water thanks to the OP. >>54851Wow, everybody's on the verge of war now. Look at Mildred's reaction in the final panel; she's already Lottie's junk-food bitch, and doesn't want to become her Pepper bitch as well but can't help herself. It is only natural. Pepper is the best dog.>>54715Would you be so kind as to find another venue in which to pick your nits?
Enchanted Pencil?Spooky.
>>55075Mildred appears to not only be somewhat bonkers and easily lead, but she also seems to have math-related sorceries at work inside her. Mildred is the best character in the strip.
>>55075Heh. Mrs. Biscuits SHEDS HER SKIN AND EYEBALL IN MIDAIR AND MANIFESTS HERSELF AS A DEMON SPIRIT but Lottie can't accept the Enchanted Pencil. Adorable.LOL at Millie all Amadeus Cho'ing there. But I am in love with Shauna in the final panel. It is only natural. She is the best character. Prediction: Mildred wants the EP in order to restore Pepper's test icicles.
>>55082It's hard to tell with Mildred, we'll never know what is crossing through her mind.
They meet up at last, the girls and...the other girls. Let the mystery and sniping commence! Jeez, Jack doesn't even attempt a half-assed brush-off. Weiner.
>>55692Sonny, Linton, I am disappoint.
Oh my God. Dude, just give her the pencil. She hasn't had her chocolate fix.I'm not sure what the "Hillbilly Simulater" (...Brits make hillbilly jokes?) represents, though. "Plan B?" An idea for a carnival ride? A life dream? A threat? This post is brought to you by the sound effect VEP. Who needs FAP when you've got VEP?
>>55836That FACE Mildred!
Oh, yes. There will be blood.
I love this strip so much I wish some state would make it legal for me to marry it.
>>56157Don't worry Mildred, you'll gonna get that mystical pencil. That's for sure.
>>56195Let's hope the hijinks don't end up like that creepypasta with the magic pen on /baw/.
Feats of strength!
What do you have in mind Mildred?
Ain't nothin' wrong with your balls that Millie can't overcome.
Ah, young love. Knockin' skulls in the park. Wait a tic, that soundsOH MY GOD WHAT
>>57101Humphrey needs to be more afraid of dobbies.
>>56934HELL YEAHMOTHERFUCKERS>>57101Awww. :3Although I hope Humphrey is ok with those creepy eyes in the bushes.
I don't know if letting the dog eat the goat is a good idea Mildred.
>>57482WOW. I'm a tie-dyed lefty and love me some animals, but GOD DAMN I hate Millie's 'rents. Also, what happened last night!?
At least in my case, I never had such a thing like a smoke patrol in my high school.
>>57642The old saying that no one ever looks up is totally true.
Oh Mildred. :3
>>57892The look on the face of the kid in front of the Opera North poster in the final panel slays me.
>>57892Ryan, what are you thinking admonishing a girl with a magic pencil?! She might send you to the cornfields!
Or she'll draw you with dog ears. Whatever it draws, whatever it writes, comes true! She's all powerful!
A fire alarm?Suspicious...
>>57892>>58569Think about this: he needs to tell this class "no biting."It's great how that one kid gradually gets fed up with the biddy nonsense and silently leaves. But I don't believe for one #$@%ing second that Mildred left the Enchanted Pencil behind.
Why "baxter" with a small b?Heh. Alternate realities. I been there.
I've been reading some of this.Needless to say, a certain strip caught my eye.>The Velvet Underground>Rubbish
>>58713She's a kid. Her tastes haven't developed fully yet.
>>58715Yeah, yeah. I know the type.Thinking the Horrors and Discovery are better than Joy Division and shite...
>>47095Well, if you've read it, you'd know he's portrayed as a "nice, but unlucky" kind of guy. It's somewhat morally ambigious in that sense, so no worries, really.
Whoa, jump cuts. Stop that.I don't see how Miss Perks wound up collapsed on her bum--hate to see how she'd react to something really terrible--but sure, since Lottie had the pencil last I can see how that escalated.
>>58768Oh snap!Take it easy girls!
>>58769Yeah, if you're gonna fight, at least do it where we can watch.
It doesn't matter how bad you get beat, Jack, so long as you fuck 'em up. Walk away now and it will never end.
>>58923This won't end well for Jack. But at least he's standing up.
Another gorram jump-cut. Dude you have a very nice almost-shiner there, but you better have at least liquified the punk's nuts for him.Disturbing headline is disturbing.PLAY DATE WITH MILDREDLEAF TOUCHINGMust not go there. Must not goAAWWW DAMMIT WENT THERE.
Sonny, what(It is telling and sad that Sonny and Linton pretend not to see Jack's now-well-defined black eye.)
>>59605>DCI CarverHurm...
>>59605At first I thought that said Breasts. That would make more sense as a conversation for 12 year olds.
UNICORN FRENZYYES
>>59697But that promotes violent stereo tights! You'll get yoghurt!
>>59697Mildred is always the voice of reason. I would play Unicorn Frenzy in a heartbeat.
>>59697Always I wanna be with you?
>>59697Holy shit, I just noticed Millie's bag.
Gee Jessica, sure you're the best sister ever, huh?
>>60497 Jack should blame it on her if anyone asks.
>>60497My older sister was also rather protective of me when we were younger. In between punching me and threatening to kill me while I slept.
>>60497To be fair, getting a black eye whilst playing rugby isn't the most... unlikely event in the world.
>>60541Well, naturally. But it sounds like Jack actually participating in the game is a pretty unlikely event.
Sister of the year.
>>60612Time to call Mr. Tropotkin for another trunk job.
>>60497>>60612My older brother once said he'd beat some fat kid who was bullying me. Unfortunately, Mother intervened and nothing ever happened.Nice of him to volunteer.
Well that was quick. Though their pet choco/dog/unicorn junkie still has to win back their hearts...Ah, England. The last place on Earth a bloody great bald dude can loom over a little girl with a pair of garden shears, call her "love," and nobody loses their shit.
>>60806Imagine how much better the Internet would be if we made lists of things we're not allowed to fight about! I don't know how you'd enforce the forfeit dances, though. Maybe you'd be forced to use an irritating avatar, that only you could see.
>>60806I hope this isn't the end of the Magic Pencil story.
Wait, FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF
>>60903IT DAMN WELL BETTER BE CONTINUEDLIKE, RIGHT NOWFINGERNAILS ALREADY BITTEN OFF Neil looks like a damn dirty ape in that first panel, but I am less inclined to go to the bathroom on him after panel two. Also, between last strip's socks and today's faux-lumberjack get-up I totally love the way this bloke dresses his dames.
>>60903Quick! Give it an organic berry salad!
>>60903DO YOU NOT RECOGNIZE MEI AM YOUR DOGGIEYOU MAAAAAADE MEEEEEE THISSSSSSSS
Shall we continue?
>>61667I know I shouldn't overthink this (again), but...what, the UK doesn't have animal control? I thought you had to have a license for dogs and there's a quarantine for flight kennels and whatnot. Also, this thing is clearly (a) not as threatening as first peek suggested, (b) NOT A DOG. And Mildred, I am disappoint. Do you not recognize your own enchanted child-creature? (Or wait, it's it Lottie's? Must go review.)
Excellent plan. Lure the monster dog into a small area and give it booze.
Oh my. :3
>>61859While that is admittedly adorable and delightful, it is ever so slightly anticlimactic!
>>61902You might say it's something of a......shaggy dog story.
>>61859Good boy or no, that's totally not a dog. Are you blind? Is that what veganism does to you? Also: can't unthink the phrase "basking in the afterglow" now. The wine doesn't help. DAAAAAA Glenys dresses like a black widow spider. With ECKSBOKS HYOOGE boots. I don't know what to make of this.
>>61905Mom and Dad *certainly* do not need corrective lenses. Bad eyesight can be cured through proper eye exercise, vision-boosting super nutrients, and the total avoidance of detrimental activities, such as video games!
I thought she liked animals.
>>62007You need to be more open-minded, Glenys. Don't allow conventional structured thinking to limit experiencing nature's expression of freedom.
Everything's Archibald. Oh, hey, Glenys finally asked the obvious question. I may pick nits, but this strip continues to be absolute delight. SPECULATION TIME: The sad thing is, that's Lottie's version (see 5-17). I'm afraid that the bush-lurker that's probably also the baby-snatching culprit will turn out to be Mildred's slobberer (or a hu-man, as the recurring theme around these parts is "humans are the real monsters"), but Archie's going to be blamed for it. God help Millie and Neil then.
She's alone now, Archibald. Suck out her soul!
>>61859>>62007>>62215GOOD DOGBEST FRIEND
>>62267This is the best dog I have ever seen n my life
>Velvet UndergroundHONK HONK...little weird, shifting gears from Hairy Troll With Fucking Opposable Thumbs That People Somehow Think Is A Dog to a B&E in mid-interruption, but hey; Shauna. Also, Dan is bad ass.Note to self: SHAUNA has obtained CROWBAR. It will no doubt prove SUPER EFFECTIVE.
That's what I'm yelling out if a dog jumps on me from now on!
>>62940 >>63276 Forgot this one.
Oh my God did this one ever bring back unpleasant memories. I want to stuff Glenys and Neil in a furnace. Up to their necks only, though. WHO THE HELL DROPS A BOMB LIKE THAT ON THEIR KID IN PUBLIC? IN A FRIGGIN' PARKING LOT?...Archie's still not a dog, though.
>>63406"Arch" is a rather badass nickname.Sorta like Arch Stanton....Which, I would totally name my kid, were my last name "Stanton."
Dammit, must I hate everybody? Shauna and Millie are gonna compare notes within 24 hours, you fat slag. Way to go.Poor Archie. I will forgive Shauna because she doesn't realize, but I'm pretty sure Archibald understands English. He doesn't look so much "mental" as "Toho Studios actor in a suit trying to run around on all fours." That adds a very disturbing quality to the penultimate panel, in which Archie is enjoying some leg.
>>64152Clearly he understands. Look at how sad he gets when she derides him.
He he he!
>>64500DOOK DOOK
>>64500Man, this dude. He's just making things worse for himself.
Whoa. Y'all ever bip by the boy's blog?
>>64533I never knew Red had so much fanart.
Glenys has got a pretty rockin' body. Suspicious for a vegan...
Oh, lord, things just got a bit darker than usual.
>>64794No one wants to read about the boy detectives. Quit doin' that, John Allison.
>>64822Daaaah. This is one of those rare strips I enjoy for all the characters, not just the ones I have perverse fantasies about. These guys are all okay by me, despite the poncy Naturecraft Folk thing (brrrrrr).
When danger reared its ugly headthey bravely turned their tail and fled
>>64822REGRET YE NOW THY WORDS OF HARSHNESS
>>65215Oh Linton, there's no such thing as "too intense" when dealing with beasts.
Daaaaamn, Jack. Walked right into it, eyes wide shut.
>>66702Well, at least that whole "we got you this dog because you did well and we...love...you" lie has been buried in the backyard already. Parents, stop sucking.
>>66702Hey! There goes Mrs. Biscuits!
I couldn't resist.
>>66702I'm dumb and those last two panels managed to fly right over my head. What did Jack think Linton was insinuating?
>>66893Mildred I'm guessing.
>>66893Himself.
Jack, Linton, you are monsters.>>66893Jack thought Lint was referring to Shauna. What else would get his chest all puffed out?
>>66934fuck, that's who I meant...
>>66934Poor Sonny. He just looks so distraught in the third panel!
>>66952It is understandable. He is envisioning his best friends dangling his sobbing, helpless little sister on the end of a frayed fishing line, over some dank pit littered with tiny skulls. Those are his best stomps; he saves those for when he's well and truly pissed off.
Got dangit. This makes me a sad panda. Also, this is the borked version (Shauna's bubble pointed at Lottie). Corrected version currently uploaded at site. For posterity, don'tcha know.
>>67469Hey, my brother's guitar teacher is named Phil!
>>67469I just noticed he has a hook for a hand.
Yaaaaaaaaaay!Charlotte to the rescue!
>>67780I like how the girl in glasses that was all over Jack last arc now has an expression suggesting she wants to corrupt Charlotte as well. This girl's an equal opportunity molester.
>>67780Everybody Luvs Lottie>Jacky...Ohhhhhhhhhhh shit.
If Lottie's so damn great why can't she get Mildred and Shauna back together? I'm sorry, I'm just upset. It's not Lottie's fault. UNLESS SHE TOOK THE PENCIL
That was pretty low Linton.
>>69760Wow, everyone in Tackleford's being an asshole this week. I fear for the future.
>>69760Fuck Linton, what the hell?
>>69760 Someone needs some racist dog time.
>>69853I second this notion.
>>69760>>69818Yeah, but you gotta give Jack props for that threat. That's creative.
...Okay, that's an interesting experimenDAMMIT LINTON
Well I didn't know Linton was gay. Maybe you should try telling the teacher about his disturbing behavior better this time.
>>69760>>70420Not gay, just persistent in being an asshole.
Oh no!My eyes jumped to the last panel and I thought Jack had thrown Linton at first D:
>>71054OH GOD NO IT'S BRIDGE TO TERABITHA ALL OVER AG--oh, wait, it's Linton. YOU DONE EFFED UP NOW, JACK. THEY'LL HANG YOU BECAUSE IF THEY DON'T THERE'LL BE RIOTS ALL OVER OA--oh, wait, it's Tackleford. The hurt in Linton's eyes when Jack shoves him is...priceless? I dunno. It says a thing, though.
Must have been a racist bridge.
If Archie jumps in to save him, I hope he's not like a Chalk Zone creature.
POINGLinton, you stupid prat, if you let go of that branch I will hop a flight to England, kick you in the balls, and drown you with my bare hands.
GOD, LINTON.Archie's expressions are great. They divert me somewhat from the fact that the only members of the gang who aren't raving pissed off at one another now are Shauna and Lottie.Which means they're next.
Linton is a dickhead. Throw him back in the water.
>>72979For the record Jack, the word you're looking for is "ingrate".
Aw, there goes my theory that this was going to end in a six-way knife fight. And also my raging hate for Linton even if he's still a dick.Note:Panel 3: Jack, he just had that hand down his trousers.Panel 6: Tell me that's not the same bottle as previous panel. Jeez, we get it, okay?Panel 7: Tackleford scares me now.
Oh. OH SH--NATURECRAFT FOLK IS DRUIDSTHEY BROUGHT THE CHILDI's scared
Aaahahaha! Linton looks terrified. Did the adults find out about the accident? Sonny looks a little mad, so I guess he knows they both were very dumb around a dangerous river.
>>73789I think Sonny's still mega-rage about them wanting to use his li'l sis as fence-chucked monster-bait, and converting them into fellow Naturecraft Pansies is both his retaliation and his means of guaranteeing his sister's relative safety.
oh god its worse than i thought
Wow, "dawwww" to CHRIST WHAT AN ASSHOLE in nothing flat.
>>75557
>>75633I'm gonna laugh at your next black eye, bitch. That is, if a little girl doesn't come along and rescue you.
>>75930Maybe I'll get really lucky and a little girl will GIVE you your next black eye. Oh, I will larf. RUN RETARD RUN
>>75932Please Jack, get in time. GET IN TIME
>>75932RUN, FAT BOY, RUN!!
>>76008He didn't make it. Poor Future Mrs. Wickle-Finch, she looks so distraught.>just start leaking any time you wantHa HA! ...Context!
>>76118Is Lottie wearing a sort of green evening gown (and pearls!) and if so, is that weird, or does she often play dress-up like that?
>>76491I think she just has weird fashion sense. She's, uh, she's wearing a grey hoodie over that dress. And bright pink slipper-looking sandals. Huh?
Oooo! Oooo! Oooo! I'm an all-American boy! An all-American hero! Mistah Kottah! Mistah Kottah!
>>76941GO IN THE DINER, JACK! GO IN THE FUCKING DINER!
>>76991Mickey D's isn't a diner. It's more of a trough.
Good luck boys!
Oh well. This sort of thing happens sometimes.
>>77840Oh yes.I'm so sure that was really his sister.
>>77843Well, d'oy. Last strip was pretty obvious (the arts-n'-crafts lead-in, no look at "her" face, and I don't think even the other boys are THAT callous), but we wanted to be polite.Still, the thought that the other disappeared children WEREN'T arts-n'-crafts mockups throws a bleak blanket over the proceedings, POOT notwithstanding.>>58569Oh God, that's Millie's dog. ...Millie's going to become the strip's villain, isn't she. My heart, she breaks.
That was very smart boys.Though this could attract unwanted attention.
Mildred!You're ba- Damn it Lottie!
>>79426Mildred.Knows.
Good kvestion...
>>80042Is that...? It is! The same boy that the girls were bugging in class without even noticing.
>>80046And he's made himself a friend! That no one seems to realize is a freaking robot!...Yeah, just keep shootin' it off, Lottie luv. You don't notice how Millie's clenching her pen.
>>80073
>>80477Haha, exactly.
>>80477I don't get it. The joke there is that no one notices a robot schoolmate, how does that pertain to Mechazawa at all?
>>80510I don't know, maybe because they're both kinda stout?
I. LOVE. THIS. SO. MUCH.
>>81556What a pesky little twat you are Steve.Mission accomplished girls.
>>81556god, I love this comic so much.
>>81556He made a robot even more internally impossible than Bender! Genius!
>>81556Please note: clip-on. Guess it's to be expected, clamps probably aren't real good at tying a Windsor knot.
Aw. Oh well, back to the matter at hand....I'm curious, what would happen if someone either erased the image, or burned the paper? Either way, I am fearful for Archie, even without Crazy Ass Sportsman showing up.
Dear Mr. Bloem (*snerk*):This is Archibald. Archibald is a good boy. Please do not shoot Archibald.Thank you.
>>82238Oh Lottie. :3
I...will not ask how the sound effect was achieved.
RAAAWRMILDRED ANGRYMILDRED SMASHWell, not really. But she's quite close to smash something.
>>83901Hm. Looks like this week I will be in love with Mildred most of all.I do not like how Bloem reacts to something in that phone snap. Because I am paranoid and trying to anticipate every possible tweest (as in "what a tweest!"), I suspect what he is reacting to is not Archie at all. And now I wonder if Millie's monster is really the Tackleford Beast.
I'm interested in seeing why he referred to the common dog as Bombus bombus. I can't see any way the specific name he went with might mean anything. A quick wikipedia search shows that Bombus is the genus for the bumblebee, but it doesn't look like there's a species called Bombus bombus. If there were I assume it would just be "The common bumblebee" or something. Still, he is either panicking and pulling a name out of thin air or he doesn't know as much about animals as he lets on.
>>83954>>83956Judging by Bloem's smile, arch must be something much more rare/valuable than a common dog, I'd wager.
>>83972 Possibly some sort of baby or infant version of that rarity.
Heh. Poor Archie. He's the last one up, a sound snoozer, and not happy about losing his beauty sleep.......COME BACK SAFE GOOD BOY WE LOVES YOU
>>84238>Shaunas face at penultimate panel.;A;
>>84521If you look around YouTube or BT sites that cater to horror downloads, you can watch an awful little British PIF (public information film) from the '70s called "Apaches," one of many that sought to terrify kids into playing safely by depicting shocking, graphic consequences of not doing so. During the course of this film, some kids are play-acting out an Indian ritual, passing around a bit of chemical liquid and pretending to drink it. A girl accidentally ingests a small amount, but insists she is okay. That night, she awakens her household screaming hysterically for her mother. She doesn't make it.I turned if off right there for a bit. It's the least graphic demise in the whole thing, yet still the most traumatizing and I just needed to GODDAMMIT I CAN'T TURN THE STRIP OFF AND SHAUNA'S EYES OH GOD NO ARCHIE'S LITTLE SQUEAKY BALL AND I HATE THIS I HATE IT I HA
Yikeses.Note to Millie and Lottie: tread a bit more carefully than usual.
>>84589Out of curiosity, have you ever watched another little British film called "Threads"?
Haha, he fixed the Archive typo.
>>84589Oh yeah, Guru Larry talked about this a few weeks ago.http://thatguywiththeglasses.com/bt/guruandwez/gr/27362-fycw-ep1-apachesHe even uplodaed the original one, since it's in public domain.
Jeez, they don't leave the kids' personal effects lying around long, do they? "Oops, little Robbie drowned in a cesspit today; well, I guess that frees up his room for my home office."
Now we find out if it ate the dummy because it thought the dummy was a child (*cough*) or because the dummy was made from food.I didn't want to derail the thread with >>84589, but:>>84906Heard of it, haven't watched. Between that and "When The Wind Blows," I'd probably slit something fatal. I've watched "Grave of the Fireflies," that alone should be a free ticket out of Hell.>>85751Rumored to be coming to DVD soon along with other nasty Brit PIFs like "Dark and Lonely Water," "Building Sites Bite," and "The Finishing Line" (all on YouTube).>>85803Wiki says the weird timefunky quality of the whole film is deliberate. What the hell's up with the sage?
narf
blergTo be honest, you guys never screamed like girls; you stood there like deer in headlights, discussing the best way to flee while the Che--you know what, I'm not gonna even try--Bad Boy leisurely finished narfing the bait.
>>86775I don't think that Erin would care about that too.
Allison is the best, guys.
>>86867He really is.
Oh I do hope Archie gets another go at having parts of you off, you turd.
>>86999Oh, dear, crazy Lottie. Her swaggerous expression in that fifth panel reminded me that she is my favorite character.
>>87012Whoops, fourth, I mean. For some reason my brain registered Archie's cell past the glass as another panel.
>>86999 Tea time?
>>87033IT IS BRIT
Aw, @$#% my oozing skull.I see this ending in even more tears.
>>88025I AM DISAPPOINT.Seriously, it IS a cheroonear? I thought that was just a cover story from some jackass desperate for new, ever more dangerous things to kill. And this makes the magic pencil robot that much more outlandish, if these things actually exist outside of magic pencil art by ungifted teenage girls.
>>88028Well, this could be the mysterious way in which the Enchanted Pencil works. Haven't you wondered why the "dogs" didn't simply manifest themselves in front of the girls as they were drawn, but rather seemed to be spontaneously generated from some distant point and time?Perhaps the girls' nattering biddiness was Steven's inspiration to GENIUS this silly, impossible robot into existence and assemble it with his own two hands. The good news is, Big Fat Bastard is now responsible for any dead children :( instead of Millie.
It seems the Magic pencil works in a very similar way to the Monkeys Paw. Wishes come true by a mater of circumstance, making it appear as a matter of coincidence to everyone not in the knowledge of the wishing device. Except without the whole horrible tragedy per wish thing...or not...
>>88025I am more saddened by the fact that Archie is apparently a wendigo.Of course he doesn't look like the mythological wendigo (I was really betting on him turning out to be a yeti) so I guess it could be like, say, the komodo dragon--his species' common name is just taken from myth and he isn't a literal one. But then again, there'd have to be a reason for that in the first place. Archie is going to grow up into a vicious cannibalistic monster?
>>88152Do you wish to know of the Wendigo?
>>88220
grab(in fact, "grabbin' the sergeant of sneaks" may become my new favorite euphemism for something something)
Ah, Lottie, you delicious bitch you. ...Human toilet? As opposed to what, dear?I AM AFEARED FOR PEPPER
>>88583Oh Lottie indeed.
>>88904That elephant has a very thin, pointy trunk.
>>88906its a stabberauxthere is a reason its locked up.
AHhahahahah.Didn't expected that.Oh shit. Look out girls!
>>90042WARFLE WARFLE!That elephant teapot looks familiar. Or am I just thinking of Tree Trunks?
Epic! Just ep...OH SH-
>>90401D=
Okay....OKAY THAT ONE JUST SPOKE.FREAKING OUT NOW.Also, GRIB. Whoa, watch those hands, little lady.
holy crap still laffin'Oh, Shauna.
iiumi...WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
>>92110Saw it coming!
Well I sure as hell didn't see it coming. Also, cool spaceship bro.
Is it just me, or does it feel like we might be close to the climax?
>>92413SHRIEKTranslation of text: "I'm thirsty."...Oh, hey, wait, I was hoping it'd hang around to vaporize (or at least trophitize) Mr. Bloem the Big Game Hunter. While we may be closing in on the finale, I imagine we've still got some issues to settle with the boys, and I still don't think Choo-Choo-Bear is the culprit. Also: That one thing SPOKE. Still freaking out about that, yes.Panel 5: Is that DAWWWWW or what?
>>92421J'ACCUSEWell, looks like I was wrong on two fronts: things ARE wrapping up quickly, and "choo-choo-bear" remains the prime suspect in the disappearances. Good news: Archie doesn't seem to be going away. Bad news: Otherwise, everybody's fucking miserable. Also, Bloem didn't get kilt. Where's the total justice in that?
Oh man.No matter how bad things get, they can always get much, much worse.
>>92873(wondering who's that on the far left Panel One)
>>93034...you mean Jack's reflection in the mirror?
>>93037Oh, wow. I guess masturbation DOES make you blind. DERP
Let's try not to split words like "Beckwith" anymore, all right?I'm happy Jack doesn't seem to be headed for a wheelchair or whatnot, but none of this can be good for whatever remains of his masculinity. And wowsers, Beckie's pissed. I mean, mad. Pissed means something else over there in that madworld where "flavor" and "color" are spelt with a "u."
>>94063You mean spelt properly.
>>94078No. It's wacko over there. They call freedom fries "chips," and they call chips "crisps." Madness! Madness! Monty Python's Flying Circus might as well be a documentary of everyday British life.
Reaction #1: "I dunno, maybe because I want to hang on to what little will be left of my balls when they finally drop? Between the lot of you biddies I'm about ready to go gay like Sonny and Linton. Having my head in your lap does help, though."Reaction #2: D'awwwwwwwwwww
>First panel>Mildred's lines.Ahahahah! An Homestuck reference?Also, DAT STRAWBERRY AND CREAM BOWL>>94406:3
>>94692>Anfffffffffffff
>>94692ROFLing at Lottie in last panel.
>>94692In the second panel her hand totally looks like a cock and balls.
>>94795Says more about you than anything else.DICKS EVERYWHERE
Aw please God no. I can't go through this again.
Mom looks guilty, really really guilty.
