God tier reporting in, feels pretty good.
>>276003Or if it's population could agree on anything.BRB Commonwealth of Massachusetts, being better than California in every way.
>>276003Most of the Supreme God Tiers can.Texas was one at one point.
>>275972I live in SC. It's boring as hell. I actually live in the Aiken/Augusta area, so, right near the river, the SC/GA border. I prefer Augusta, GA to Aiken, SC. Even if it does have the boring ass Masters Tournament every year.
>>276009Well, technically they were, but only about 10% of the governing body of Texas actually wanted to stay independent. Most were trying to get the territory in the US since day 1.
>california supreme god tierI'm ok with this.
>Texas Supreme God Tier...I'm cool with this.
Born in Illinois, living in Texas. Shyeah.
>>276018At the moment it has arguably the best economy of all the states. It has Austin. Despite my own personal desire to annex Austin and DELETE DELETE DELETE the rest of the state, it's earned its place.
Why isn't New York in New York Tier?
It's not so much that CA, TX and NY "deserve" to be in Supreme God Tier, but rather they're one of the few that can qualify for that status. That said, CA is still the best and I long for the day it returns to its former glory.
>Michigan>High tierObviously you've never been to Flint.
Florida in god tier? Seriously?
I have to ask the basis for these rankings, if only to satisfy my curiosity.
CALIFORNIA FUCK YEAH
>Pennsylvania>Nice tiermeh, I'll take it
>California>Supreme God Tier
>>275974Yes. Not that many. Most residents of Florida have emigrated there. It's full of old people, the gays, and Cubans. I am okay with all three. Old people stay inside and don't bug me, the gays have great techno music and beautiful curtains, and if I don't get a cuban burger sometime soon, heads will roll.
Sure feels good being in the best state...
>>276013Yeah, I was just trying to make myself feel better because I'm in the upstate. There are some shining moments when I love it here, but after graduation, I'm upgrading to at least North Carolina. (I know, six of one, half dozen of the other. But Raleigh and Charlotte seem lovely.)
>>275974>>276066Yeah, not in the cities anyways. It's pretty cool. There's all sorts of neato people here. Though I can't find a decent mexican restaurant to SAVE MY LIFE and that makes no fucking sense
>>275936I agree with this lass, Nevada belongs in like the WHY ARE YOU STILL LIVING HERE TIER or lower. Trust us.
Nevada people should move west. I don't care which state. Just move west, dammit.I do care, but it's your decision.
>>276119I strongly agree. That's what I did and it was one of my best decisions ever.
>>276115You think the arsenic in the water would have clued people into realizing nevada doesn't want to be lived in.
>>276123You'd THINK, but apparently not man. >>276119Ferrous, you just want Bea and I to move in with you.
>>276137A driving distance is fine, too. friends
Fuckyeah Illinois
Did you know that over 80% of Nevada is federally owned land?
>New Jersey>Nuke Target TierSounds about right.
Iowa really needs to be in the Nice or Meh tier. I hated it when I was younger, but unless you get caught in a horrible snow storm it's a beautiful area with lots of nice people and a stress-free environment. If you're a social bug you might be SOL unless in one of the few large cities, but otherwise a great place to relax and retire.
Am I the only one who doesn't think NJ is that bad?Oh god why am I nostalgiafagging over the Jersey shore that place is a cess pit now and probably was then.
>>276283>My face when I live in Rural New Jersey where everything's clean and chill as fuck. It's like that redeeming character trait in that one character you hate that you overlook because the rest of her is a HUGE BITCH
>My face when Nebraska is completely unaffected by the economic downturn.Unemployment only at 4.6%, while the National average is 9.6%. Top it off with low crime rates, cheap property, mild, easygoing populace, lovely farmland. Nebraska is, indeed, the good life.
>Nuke Tier>West VirginiaI can vouch for this.
>>276294Agreed.
As a long-time resident of Connecticut, I would like to confirm that it is, in fact, pretty "meh."
>Virginia>High TierHAW HAW HAW
>>276296Connecticut is Massachusetts' crappy but wealthy neighbor that you avoid because he irks you in some way that you can never really put your finger on.At least Rhode Island has a casino.
>immediately scroll to the very bottom because I know exactly where I'm placing>find exactly what I was expecting tosometimes it is not fun being right...
>>275972 Your "barbeque sauce" is just vinegar. Your crime is unforgivable.
Supreme God Tier is more like Supreme Yahweh tier, but whatever
>>276814>Yahweh>God dammit it's not pronounced that way. In fact, you aren't even supposed to say that word at all. Fuck the ignorant bastards responsible for unleashing that abominable mispronunciation on humanity. Fuck them right in their empty skulls.Itt: Sigma gets pissy about people who misuse hebrew.
>>276868Historic Greek documents claim that the appropriate pronunciation is Yahweh, and since the pronunciation was not maintained in Hebrew (even though it probably was through root words), that would technically be the only correct way to pronounce it today. Also, Christians, Muslims, and the non-faithful are not bound to Jewish law, and thus, have every right to say it when they please.Silly goose.
>>276873Historic greek documents are written in greek, and not the original hebrew. The pronunciation WAS maintained in hebrew, thank you very much, but we never, ever say the word because it's a stand in for one of the names of God.Furthermore, if English speakers can get pissy about how non native speakers pronounce their language, I can get pissy about people mispronouncing hebrew.
>>276876Differences in pronunciation stem from the different ways people learn how to form sounds in their mouths. Also>Blanket statements about English speakers relations to non-native speakersSir I am offended. I have never seen hide nor hair of any English speaker knocking a foreigners ability to speak their language, people who speak french and spanish on the other hand.....Say jalepeno or Quebec wrong and SEE WHAT HAPPENS.And He is not just the Jewish God, people call him Allah and Jehovah and Yahwey and a million other personal names, relationships with God are often quite personal and open to personal interpretation and personalized titles.
>>276878Engrish
>>276878Fair enough. I simply get irritated by the use of that particular word. I'm not making any kind of claim to the deity in question, nor implying that any religion or individual has any more or less right to worship. I just, really, really hate that word and wish people would stop using it. There are so many better names for God, it makes me nuts that people insist on using a mispronunciation of a word that was never meant to be spoken in the first place.
>>276880Thats not even pronunciation, thats grammar and spelling. And we don't get mad, we're amused by it.Anyways, I think its more disturbing that people still read the King James version of the bible than calling God by the 'wrong' name.
>>276881I see. I think that version only even sticks around because it sounds archaic and mystical and whatnot.I usually try to take religious misunderstandings very lightly, since there has been so much misinformation and reinterpretation flying around for hundreds of years now. Keeps the blood pressure down.
>>276884Yeah, it's just everybody has those little things that bug them, you know? For me it's that and people typing "oi" when they mean "oy". I've got a whole rant on it.
