They are a seaside dwelling race. Make most of their buildings on docks and huts on the beach. They can breathe underwater and mostly fish and harvest undersea stones and coral. They rarely venture away from the sea but welcome visitors and are open for trade. Once every few decades, a mermaid is born to serve the godess of the deep, and act as the prophet for her will to her people.

The lips aren't defined well enough, and it's kind of confusing me.
