You know, it looks like axel-rosered hasn't been updating the whole Battle of the Bulges as often as people would like (he hasn't evenupdated this week, I believe). In fact, he didn't even mention anything about it in his newest journal this week.

Nah, hedonism is pretty sexy.

It's a good chunk of why I'm into weight gain--a girl giving in to her baser appetites and indulging until she's overflowing with decadence is just straight up hot.

Yeah, for me fat, gluttony, and weight gain were always just the main component of a larger attraction to hedonism, luxury, and extravagance. I always had subsidiary attractions to things like women wearing fancy robes and lots of jewelry, surrounding themselves in an environment of total decadence with armies of people waiting on them hand and foot.

In fact, I am often convinced that decadence is at the heart of most fat fetishes--the idea of throwing away caution and descending into mindless gluttony can be very seductive. Not to mention, fat equals vulnerable--a fat person appears physically weaker, feeding (ha!) into the whole sub/dom thing for some people.

Exactly, it's sort of the draw of indulgence. Appeals to everyone on some basic level.

Of course, for me, it's also about the turnabout-is-fair-play thing. A powerful female athlete or dominatrix who gets fat, lazy and out-of-shape is much more arousing than just a generic fat schoolteacher or librarian.

Of course, I do have an obsession with roles and the ol' switcheroo, so maybe that's just me.

And then there's the whole "fat = more womanly" dealio. I could write books on that subject (basically already have) but overall a fat girl just seems more. . . feminine to me. The ideal mate is overflowing with flesh and fertility, or something like that. As you may guess the Venus of Willendorf was one of my first "hnngh" moments.

But overall I'm much more interested in the power play aspects of fat chicks. For instance, this gal here is basically trapped inside the wobbling flesh of her own body. That draws like ten sexy implications all on its own.

My interest in weight gain always seemed to be the inverse of that. Instead of being weak because they're fat, I enjoy when they get fat because they were weak in some way already. That's reflected in that I'm a natural-born sucker for revenge/sabotage gaining and situations where they just can't resist caving to their hunger (i.e. that old Totally Spies episode).

Personal opinion, but I think he's been going back to that a bit recently. While for a while there all of his works used the same style now he seems to more combine that style with the source materials'. Personally I always liked his work but I think he's certainly making more of an effort to put his own spin on other styles rather than just draw characters in his own style like he used to, but I doubt he's going to go back to straight imitating styles like he did at the very beginning.
