While waiting in my doctor's office for an annual check-up, I caught a shiny Fearow in my grinding territories outside Stark Mountain. Adamant and carrying a Sharp Beak, he was essentially the grand paragon of what all Fearows aspire to... truly amazing and the only natural shiny I've ever encountered. Minutes later he was resting inside an Ultra Ball being christened "Dr. Fury".

It's a shame Fearows suck, though.

I've got 2 instances of shiny pokemon in Silver back when i had it. Back then I was probably the dumbest kid to play pokemon. I was wandering around route 30 and I came accross a shiny ledyba. Back then I was thought it was just a waste of my time and just hit flee not knowing that these things were ultra rare to find under normal circumstances. So a couple of months later while surfing vermillion city around the gym area I came accross a shiny tentacool. Did I wise up and try to catch this differently colored critter? Not a chance, hit flee and was done with it. I let my level 100 feraligatr get to my ego and the lack of knowledge towards shiny pokemon. Didn't let that happen when I caught a shiny meditite in Diamond.

My first shiny was a shiny Bibarel I got on my birthday. I loled so hard.

I also happen to have a shiny Sneasel I caught on my nephew's game and he gave it to me since I caught it which is great because he's LOST his game. Then there's my shiny Flygon Halp and shiny Bayleaf Banana someone gave me.

Almost got'em stories? Sure.

In Gold, I found a shiny Pineco while headbutting trees. You might think it selfdestructed, but it actually didn't. Too bad you can't transfer out of those games and that the battery is probably dead now, golden Forretress was pretty boss.

Years later, after skipping RSE, I found a shiny Starly about an hour into Diamond. You might think I knocked it out, but I actually caught it. It was brave, too. It ended up jammed in a box in case I started battling online so it wouldn't be tainted with shitty EVs.

Other than that, my Red Gyarados was jolly on the first catch. Does that always happen?

The only shiny I've ever encountered was a Shellos and I had no idea what the sparkles meant and just killed it because you can't tell the difference between the shiny and the non shiny version of that thing.

Anonex has a shiny Sharpedo named Crash and it knows Slash, Skull Bash, Night Slash, and Thrash. He posted a pic of it and its stats but I didn't save it and I have no clue where on this board it is.

In Ruby, I found a shiny Spinda, shiny Zangoose and a shiny Gloom which is now a Bellosom. Less than A week ago in Pearl, I found a shiny Burmy which is now a Mothim.

This Raichu, as a Pichu in Diamond, is the only shiny I found by chance in Gens 3 and 4 (and, likely, V). She has a Jolly nature, and I eventually started using her in Cute Contests.

The rest, setting aside Red Gyarados, were from events (Linoone, Shiny Pichu that activates the Spiky-Ear Pichu), or from bros (Infernape, Bibarel). I also got a shiny Igglybuff from the Odd Egg in Crystal version.

I caught two shiny Poochyenas in Emerald (one male and one female) and spotted a shiny Absol but it ran away before I could get it.

I had a shiny Espeon once in my Silver game. I got it from some Asian kid at the store formerly known as the Pokemon Center, which probably means the thing was a complete hack but at the tender age of 12 I did not give one shit. It was awesome and fuck you gamefreak for not letting me keep it. :C

Caught two shinies in my (unfinished) Platinum game. Awesome Geodude which was mutha fucken GOLD so I named him King Midas. GOLDEN TOUCH BITCHES. But then he evolved and turned into a diarrhea brown so I think I renamed him to Living Shit or something.

Also, caught a shiny female Budew and was like HHHHHHNNNNNNNHHHGFUCK YES because purple and black roses when evolved and I'm such a homo for that colour scheme.

Never encountered a shiny other than red Gyarados. Feels bad man.

My first caught Shiny was, of course, the Gyarados in GS. But other than that I've seen a very limited amount of Shinies.

Other than that, I got a Shiny Unown in Ruby. People like to laugh about how useless a shiny Zubat is:, but let me tell you: NOTHING can compare to the uselessness that is a Shiny Unown (letter Z). My third shiny encountered was in Diamond and was, again, an Unown. But I was talking to someone at the time, so I only saw it for a split second as I glanced down and saw it faint (letter E).

Then a few months back in Platinum I encountered a shiny Chatot, kind of a crappy color scheme, but holy shit shiny sort of took over. Got it down to what was pretty obviously 1 hp, and kept putting it to sleep. I went through no less than 15 Ultraballs, 5 Dusk balls, 10 Great balls, and a metric shit ton of other balls. We're talking I seriously used, like, 50 fucking balls on this thing with 1 hp that was asleep and it didn't catch. I finally sucked it up and threw my Master ball.

A few days later I found a shiny Mareep and gave it to my girlfriend as an early birthday present.

True story: Not wanting to bitch out and use my Master Ball on Mewtwo I went through all 99 of my Ultras and my 30 Greats and was just down to some regular Pokeballs. For the hell of it I started to use them. I caught Mewtwo in the first Pokeball I threw at it.
