I don't think like, EVERY pokemon needs a hybrid, but if they added a couple ones it would give them a way to make new evolutions for old monsters without more of the dumb stones business. Adding more stones doesn't make for more interesting gameplay, it just gives me a bag full of stones with no idea what the hell they do. It'd give people who aren't hardcore enough to care about tracking generations to breed for perfect stats a reason to get into breeding besides making copies of their starters for their friends, and it would give you new monsters that you have to put extra effort into finding, because there's no reason for them to exist in the wild.
