Isshu's in America. The Pokewar never came to the homefront.

No.13373
Okay, has anyone else noticed how anal Nintendo of America is being about Black and White?
First they didn't give the English games a release date outside of Spring of 2011. I'm not super pissed about this or anything but COME ON. The game is already out in fucking Japan, give us a month at least.
Then they started attacking English fan sites that were posting information and images. This pissed me off. In fact, I'm willing to bet they would've tried to have the info taken down if it wasn't for the fact that you legally can't pull information down from anywhere. Pictures, yes. Information, no.
And now they're sweeping through Youtube and having all the music and videos pulled down. I think I'm actually really pissed off about that one. That was some really good music.
Now, legally they have the right to do this, yes. But it's still pissing me off. They are being complete douche bags this generation. What the fucking hell?

>>13357
Along with Meloetta. Which I'm sure you'll realize very quickly is going to be the worst movie ever made for Pokemon. Think about it. Idol Pokemon.

"Hurry guys! We gotta get Meloetta to the concert on time or else she'll disappoint all her fans!"
Then they succeed and dance to shitty pop music for the final 10 minutes of the movie.

Sounds like they don't want anything spoiled for the English release. Kinda silly in this day and age.

Yeah, it's like they wanted those dream world abilities, event Pokemon and all the like to remain secret.

I'm pretty sure its more that her songs are magic or something (maybe they're needed to keep Dennis in a coma or else he wakes up and rapes everything.)

For some reason, she can't sing so Dennis comes to wreak havoc and the heroes have to help.

No.13483

Antagonist/Rival. The guy was manipulated by Gaycheese ever since he was young, isolating him with having only Pokemon as friends, giving N a warped view that the trainer system must go down, when in fact Pokemon and Humans can work together

Gaycheese's actual goal is to trick N to drive away the humans so that he can control all Pokemon in the end.

OK, this is sort of eyebrow raising:

There's a new ability called (according to serebii's translation) "perversity" which reverses changes to stats.

It can be used by a Dream World Shuckle, Spinda, and the Tsutarja line.

Tsutarja can learn Leaf Storm.
So unless the ability has some restrictions they haven't found out yet that make it completely useless (Anticipate, Feint), it will have an attack with base power of 140, STAB, and will increase their Special Attack by two levels every time they use it.

http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/List_of_moves_that_changed_in_attack_power

Thrash and Petal Dance rejoin Outrage in the same move/different type club.

Interestingly Bullet Seed's buff makes it's theoretical minimum damage it's old theoretical maximum.

You would think, but it's stats and pool move still limit it from being a viable attacker. It is a great support/wall though.

Do they have a list for accuracy too, because it seems like every new game fucks with Hypnosis' accuracy for some reason...

75 Special Attack and 113 Speed are too low for a STAB Leaf Storm which just keeps getting stronger to be powerful?

>>13499
Exactly what I was thinking.

>>13500
Especially since they both learn, again, Leaf Storm, and Critical Hits negate your negative stat changes.

>>13507
According to serebii, Hypnosis's accuracy is still 60 like it's been since Platinum.

I appreciate the indirectly nerfing of Stealth Rock (it can only be learned by level up, mostly by rock Pokemon with low speed) but everyone is just going to keep using it by transfer.

No.13516
>>13513
I thought criticals just negated your opponent's defense boosts?

No.13520
>>13516
No, it decides on modified or unmodified for each stat depending on whichever does the most damage.

In Gen I it would always do unmodified, so it would be possible for a critical hit to do less damage than a regular one.

No.13524
>>13516
It negates any of your Attack debuffs and your opponent's defence buffs, while keeping any of your Attack buffs and your opponent's defence debuffs.
Basically that weak move that always criticals is going to be a wall breaking machine. Especially if a Sniper learns it.

No.13527
>>13524
Moves, actually: Mountain Storm (Fighting) and Ice Breath (Ice obviously).

Granted, the fighting one is only learned by one Pokemon and they're otherwise identical.

Unfortunately, none of the ones that can learn either can have Sniper as their ability, even if they're from the Dream World.

Goddamn he's my favorite of these starters.

Unfortunately, I'm probably going to choose Piglit when the game comes out in the US, just because I want to get a Dreamworld Smugleaf with that awesome ability it's supposed to have.

Using it as my starter for my Nuzlocke of the hack, though.

No.13611

Fast, decent defenses, and can use an attack that's devastating in it's own right AND is the equivalent of using Nasty Plot at the same time. I think he'll be pretty high up there.

No.13613
>>13612
Yeah, sure.

I'm pretty sure items like Life Orb and Leftovers exist too.

Just sayin', don't knock it till you try it. It has potential to be a really powerful player.

No.13620
>>13612
It can use a choice scarf too, unless Perversity effects (which would be even better because then it could hold an iron ball to times its speed by 2 instead of 1.5 without penalty).

With that much power from that one move, it barely matters that it has no other non-Grass special damaging moves besides Hyper Beam, Wring Out, Sing A Round, Twister, and Hidden Power.

No.13621

The only thing that could hope to force it out is maybe a specially defensive Heatran.

No.13633
>>13632
Yes, but RIGHT off the bat. as in, you toss out Ditto and all your opponent ever sees is that you tossed out the same pokemon as him.

It's a bluff tactic mainly, or a decent counter if your running a pokemon with moves that could devistate it's own type.

No.13634
>>13633
No no. You toss out your Ditto and then it Transforms automatically into the other Pokemon, gaining its exact stats and moves.
Meaning.
If your ditto has like a Choice Scarf on it...it'll be the other Pokemon, except faster.
THIS IS A GREAT WAY TO DISCOVER WHAT KIND OF TEAM THE OPPONENT IS RUNNING AND HOW TO FUCK IT OVER.
IT'S -GREAT-.
