As the title says, well, yeah. Get ready for what's probably an entire match transcript.

So I was at this Gamestop-sponsored video game tournament where they hosted Super Street Fighter IV, Smash Bros. Brawl, and Pokemon, of course. The other two games had their tournaments pass, and they hooked the tournament Wii up to the big projector and put in Battle Revolution, to which me and my opponent would face each other on, instead of the DS to DS battles for the other parts of the tourney. Rules: No legendaries, Sleep/Species/Item/Evasion Clause.

Throughout the battle, we had commentary from a kid with a nasally voice, probably saying what the Battle Revolution announcer would have been saying.

Start:
My Staraptor(MOBIUS ONE, ENGAGE) vs. Swampert. The Swampert simply laid down a Stealth Rock while Staraptor 2-shot it with Brave Bird, however, taking major recoil damage. The next Pokemon out was his Aerodactyl, and since my Staraptor was Choice-locked, it had to go through with a suicide dive to the Aerodactyl...and didn't faint it. Next from my side, Machamp. A single Dynamic Punch was all it took to bring it down, while Stone Edge barely scratched it. He then took out a Starmie, while I then switched to Gallade, who soaked a Surf, but wouldn't take another one. It outsped my Gallade and Surf'd it out to sea. I brought out my Weavile, but it's Night Slash proved ineffective to his switch to Scizor. Rather than switching, I sac'd Weavile, doing a Brick Break for some damage and brought out my Rhyperior. He responded with another Bullet Punch, but this one barely did a fourth, while my Rhyperior shook its world. He brought out Starmie again, but I took out Machamp once more. Surf nearly swept up Machamp, but it rode the wave and followed up by a Dynamic Punch. The Starmie killed itself shortly afterward. He brought out a Jolteon, who T-bolted my Machamp into a fine dust. I sent out my Rhyperior, who took a 2/3'd health super-effective Hidden Power(Thank you, Stone Body) and responded in turn by re-enacting San Francisco 1906. He was down to his last Pokemon.

Garchomp. Fuck.

It quake'd my Rhyperior right back, and I was down to my last, as well. Some people questioned why I even had this in my competive team, but I've always picked one up on every version I played: Pikachu.

At that moment, I was about to just put my DS down and shake my opponent's hand for winning, but ultimately decided against it and opted to go down swinging. Hidden Power would possibly do some damage, but I forgot what I bred it to be. Besides, he probably EV'd and bred the Garchomp for speed, so I'd lose.

Pikachu went first.
It was a Super Effective hit.
Garchomp's life bar went down.
The crowd's volume went up.

"GARCHOMP has fainted!"

That wasn't the best part, though. After I won, one of the guys I faced earlier in the tournament came up to me in his white jacket.
"Don't get cocky. You're not done yet.
"You've still got work ahead of you."
To that, he put on a pair of sunglasses and disappeared into the crowd.

That just fucking happened. I don't even know.

>Glorious moments in Pokemon
Only two I can think of:
- Crushing Gym Leader Giovanni with a team of lvl. 35 Pokemon
- Taking out Red with a team of lvl. 55 pokemon. That one was particularly tough, as I had him down to two pokemon with only one Snorlax left. I managed to hold him off and work down his Snorlax's health, as he could take about 2 turns before I'd have to replenish health, then his Charizard came in and decided to Wreck house. I revived my Ferligator, let Snorlax hold off Charizard until I could get Ferligator to full health. Snorlax managed to survive one more turn so I decided to Hyper Beam Charizard; I can't quite remember if he dodged or if it barely even did anything worth noting, but Snorlax got ko'd that turn. Then I brought out Ferligator. At this point my little heart was beating hard; I either win this battle and take some sweet loot, or I get punked out and have wasted a shit load of full restores, elixirs, and revives. I decide to go all out and Surf this fucker for everything I can get. It takes out half his health and my heart sinks; Hyper Beam. I almost can't bring myself to watch as my beloved Ferligator takes the final blow and then it happened; Hyper Beam missed. I can almost hear Red scream "Shit!" as I select surf again. Charizard faints, my 13 year old self feels a surge of pride and I walk away with both a nice wad of game monies and the pride of knowing that I beat Red. Not quite Nocky's wonderful tourney story, but it will always be one of my proudest moments in video gaming, even if I was the only spectator to actually witness it.

Speed Running Sapphire using only my Blaziken. HM whores don't count.

Doing the same thing in Red/Fire Red with Blastoise.

No.10807
Beat Bugsy the first time solely with a Rattata. Level 7. Shit was fucking impossible, but I did it anyhow thanks to five critical hits in a row, perfect Attack IVs, and a lot of Tail Whips and Potions.

Also catching a Snorlax with just a pokeball almost every time I've played the games and using said captured Snorlax in almost every team I put him or her on. He and my starter are permanent roster tier.

How about beating Red with level 40 Pokemon, does that count?

First time I ever played Blue version, I was going through the Elite Four, and made it to the Rival, I think I just named him Gary because I was so into the anime.
All we had left were our starters, my Venusaur and his Charizard. I had plenty of potions and stuff, but the battle was really dragging out. We both ran out of PP and BOTH of them were just struggling. Venusaur eventually came out on top and I won Pokemon for the first time.

Venusaur has been my favorite pokemon ever since. Fuck what people say about Grass or poison types, fuck any of that Smogon/competitive nonsense, Venusaur is my bro for life.

I was about to gripe about how this guy totally ripped off my NU team.

Then I realized I was the one who posted it.

I feel dumb.

Pokemon Gold. Went up against champion Lance with only my Jynx fully capable of fighting for more than one attack (everything else was hanging on by a thread). Six Ice Punches later, I was champion.

Yeah, after struggling to get through everyone else, I one-shotted all of Lance's dragons. I felt pretty proud of myself...after the shock and disbelief wore off.

Nuzlocking Emerald. Never played the game before, but got far enough to challenge Steven. Wiped him out without a single loss.
