http://www.bnet.com/blog/advertising-business/esurance-axes-erin-after-the-secret-agent-took-on-an-x-rated-life-of-her-own/5034I love how naive the E-Surance guys were about this. Erin thread in memoriam?
lol @ Insurance companies.
Joke editorial articlehttp://www.bnet.com/blog/advertising-business/the-erin-esurance-autopsy-she-was-less-popular-than-microsoft-8217s-8220clippy-8221/5048Real reason is she wasn't popular.
They made a shapely female agent character and then they were surprised by naughty pictures of her? Someone should let them know no mascot is safe from the internet.
Hilarious. And yet sad, because Erin Esurance is dead and thus there will be no more rule34 of her. ...Oh, hey, some new KP and MLAATR porn! And is that a new Wuya DAT ASS pic? Oh yeah!Fuck you, Esurance. That ZONE flash will outlive you all.I think the "Clippy" survey is bullshit. People know Erin; they probably don't know what she was selling. I mean, my God, look at the EE "Bollywood" commercial; it's fun and pretty and...WTF is it about? The suits who greenlit that couldn't sell water to a man dying of thirst.
>>74023Is that supposed to be Erin and Flo?
>>74188>Is that supposed to be Erin and Flo?If so then Flo needs the toothy grin and ruby-red lips.
>>74069>They made a shapely female agent character and then they were surprised by naughty pictures of her? Someone should let them know no mascot is safe from the internet.reread the article. It doesn't state anything about their reaction to all the porn, it doesn't even say thy noticed the porn. It merely states two different things in one article, that there's porn of her and that she won't be featured in ads again, counting on the dirty mind of the reader to assume one is the cause of the other, but at no point does it state the two are related, and it turns out the porn's not the reason at all.
>>74208>and it turns out the porn's not the reason at all.Have they explicitly stated another reason then?
>>74210She was unpopular so they say.
>>74210yeah, she was one of the lowest ranked corporate mascots according to market research. Face it, if she'd been popular and the company had been bothered by the porn fanarts they'd just have C&D'd the sites hosting images.
I for one will admit that I only know of Erin because of rule 34. :/
QUOTE UNF....BUY UNFFFF...PRINT GRABBASBSAHASSS..splot...sorry
So this is a classic example of fanboyish pervertion ruining a mascot? To be honest she's only "popular" because she's in hentai.
The problem with Erin.
http://www.somethingawful.com/d/news/agent-erin-insurance.phpBetter article.
There's no way Erin is less popular than Clippy, though if they mean less well known because she isn't as infamous....
