Ardor Affections v0.14 (Beta Testing)

Pepper Potts grinded her teeth together, drowning out the soft ticking of the clock on the wall. The fiery redhead’s gaze was fixed upon the strands of shimmering blonde hair two rows ahead of her. Whatever lecture Mr. Klein was discussing fell on deaf ears, as Pepper’s mind raced with thoughts and feelings of anguish, betrayal, and rage.

Pepper had only known Tony Stark for a little over three months, but she felt that the two of them shared a special bond of trust and friendship. She sympathized with Tony’s tragedy of losing his father, and earned his trust by keeping Tony’s secret of being Iron Man. Whitney Stane, however, had transferred to their school only a few months ago, but she had known Tony Stark since they were children. As much as it pained Pepper to admit it, a bitter sting of truth echoed in her heart. The rich, leggy, blonde in the small white skirt had sonority over her, but Pepper still couldn’t help but feel betrayed over the lies and deceit that Tony held over her.

Whitney Stane also had a secret; she possessed a golden mask that was invented by the late Howard Stark, Tony’s father. The mask allowed her to assume any form and become a completely different person if she desired. Her alternate persona was nicknamed Madame Masque, a name that Pepper herself had chosen for her. Now, Whitney wore the name with pride, almost as if to spite her, but Pepper retained enough sensibility to realize that that was impossible, as Whitney had no idea that Pepper knew she was Madame Masque. Whitney also didn’t know Tony Stark was Iron Man, and that was one piece of information Pepper confided in. It was the one thing of Tony’s that she had that Whitney didn’t.

At least, Pepper thought that she did. Tony Stark had learned about Whitney’s persona a month earlier, but for some reason had refused to tell her. Tony’s decision hurt her, but it also confused her. Pepper had always been there to support Tony in his decisions. She thought she had earned his trust by keeping his armored life a secret from everyone else, and by risking her own life numerous times in order to protect him. The very idea that Tony wouldn’t have trusted her about Whitney’s masquerade felt like a stab to her chest; a wound she was afraid might never heal.

Now, during the middle of class, the emotions in her heart and mind raced and clashed against one another. Rhodey, a mutual friend of her and Tony who also knew about Tony’s identity, was sitting next to Whitney; the two of them exchanging flirting glances and comments back and forth between one another. The anger inside Pepper grew ever more; the sight of Rhodey chuckling alongside Whitney felt like another blow to her. Tony had also lied to Rhodey about Whitney, and here he was chatting with her like they were old friends. Pepper was exasperated as to why Rhodey was so accepting of the lies and secrets. It wasn’t until halfway through the period of watching them and noticing Rhodey’s frequent glances to Whitney’s low-cut shirt collar and sometimes-rising skirt hem that she put two and two together. A little cleavage and leg was all it took to mend a broken friendship to him.

Pepper’s hands gripped the metal bars on either side of her seat tightly, struggling to keep her temper under control, but finding herself failing to do so. The student next to her must have noticed her awkward behavior and asked her if everything was alright. The next few moments became a blur to her, but she remembered getting out of her seat and screaming at Tony, Rhodey, and Whitney during the middle of Mr. Klein’s lecture. She remembered the sting of tears in her eyes as she struggled to keep her voice from cracking too much as she asked Tony and Rhodey how they could choose Whitney over her after all they had been through. She vaguely remembered Whitney berating and insulting her afterwards, followed by her swinging a fist or two at Whitney in retaliation. Other students, including the teacher, pull the two girls off each other and dragged them out of the classroom.

By the time Pepper realized what was going on she was in Principal Nara’s office being scolded by not only the principal, but her father, who was on speaker phone for a three-way conversation.

“You can be sure we’ll talk about this a lot more when I get home tonight, Pepper,” her father’s cold voice echoed in her ears before she heard the clicking sound of him hanging up.

“You are dismissed, Miss Potts. You’re suspended for the rest of the day, so please take this time to reflect upon your outburst,” Principal Nara’s calm, but stern voice barely registered in her ears as she stood up from the chair, grabbed her bag, and shambled out of the principal’s office.

Pepper exited out into the hallway, the squeaking sound of her sneakers on linoleum flooding the barren hallway. Fourth period was halfway over, and she wanted to leave the grounds before class let out so she wouldn’t have to see or speak to anyone else for the rest of the day. All she wanted to do at that moment was to head home and be alone. She trudged down the hallway towards the double doors at the end and pushed them open. She stepped into another hallway and locked her eyes on a second set of doors which would exit out to the front of the school. As she walked down the hallway, she glanced out each window, sunlight glaring in her eyes as she saw cars drive past in the city street.

“Just what is your problem with me, groupie?” a familiar voice chided from behind her.

Pepper quickly raised a hand to her face and wiped away a few tears that had built up in her eyes. Pepper’s other hand clutched at the bag to her side in a weak attempt to prevent her from flying into another fit of rage.

“Just leave me alone, Whitney,” she growled under her breath and continued walking down the hall.

She heard the sound of high-heels against tile behind her and realized Whitney was following her. The time between taps shortening as Whitney strode down the hallway to catch up with her.

“No, we’re going to settle this right now,” Whitney’s voice grew cold, almost hateful as Pepper looked at the other girl in the eyes. “Ever since I transferred here, you’ve done nothing but give me the cold shoulder. I’ve done nothing to you, other than step on your toes by being a friend to Tony, which is what I assume this is about.”

Pepper remained silent for a few moments, taking her time to think of a response that wouldn’t jeopardize Tony’s secret or implicate her own knowledge.

“It’s a lot more complicated than that, Whitney” she replied, and resumed walking down the hallway.

Whitney shot an arm out in front of Pepper, the orange sleeved appendage blocking her path down the hallway.

“Please move,” Pepper said with a stoic tone in her voice.

“Then explain it to me. Is that it? You’re just jealous that Tony has another friend now, isn’t it?” Whitney’s voice softened, and almost sounding sincere.

Pepper reached in front of her and grabbed Whitney’s arm, and lowered back down to her side.

“Ever since you transferred here you’ve done nothing but shadow Tony and cause him a lot of stress. Tony has enough stress in his life these days and doesn’t need you to complicate things and be a burden on him.”

After the words exited her mouth, she resumed her trot down the hallway, but felt a cold hand grab her wrist to stop her, almost yanking her back.

“You’re really something, Potts.” Whitney’s voice returned to a more callous tone. “I don’t know who you think you are, but Tony and I have known each other since we were toddlers. Our fathers worked together, we grew up together.”

Whitney paused, almost as if struggling to find the words to say.

“We spent a lot of time growing up. My father was always preoccupied with work, but Tony was there for me. He and his father would watch over me and make sure I had someone to confide in, even when my own father couldn’t be bothered to do so.”

Pepper turned to face Whitney, and was shocked to see a small quivering in Whitney’s eyes. Was she about to cry? Or was Pepper just imagining it.

“Tony has been my friend for as long as I can remember.” Pepper was taken back by how much ire she could now sense in Whitney’s voice. “So don’t you dare call me a burden on him.”

Whitney’s grip on Pepper’s wrist tightened, and Pepper found herself fighting back the urge to let out a small yelp.

“Because I won’t allow it,” Whitney hissed, and released Pepper’s wrist from her grip.

Pepper rubbed her wrist with her other hand and stared at Whitney in silence. All of a sudden she felt like she could sympathize with the troubled girl. She had known Obadiah Stane had been distant with his daughter, but hearing the young lady talk about it in person was the first time Pepper realized how much it troubled her. At that moment, she began questioning who she was really mad at: Whitney, for intruding on what Pepper erroneously thought was her exclusive friendship with Tony; Tony, for lying to her about Whitney being Madame Masque and not trusting her; or herself, for allowing this awkward sense of entitlement swell up to such a large proportion. It was then that Pepper remembered Whitney’s flirtatious behavior with Rhodey during fourth period.

“What about Rhodey?” Pepper asked, breaking the awkward silence between the two girls.

“What about him?” Whitney inquired.

“Um, hello? It’s obvious you have a thing for Tony, I can understand that; yet there you were flirting with Rhodey in the middle of class.” Pepper crossed her arms over her chest.

“So the truth finally comes out,” Whitney said with a smirk on her face.

“What’s that suppose to mean?” Pepper arched an eyebrow.

“You do like Tony, and resent me for being so close to him.”

Pepper frowned and shook her head, raising her hands up defensively. “Tony’s just a friend to me; a very good friend. That’s why I want to know what’s up with you. You said you liked him, but now I suddenly see you flirting with Rhodey. You’re up to something and I want to know what it is.”

“You’re getting awfully defensive here, groupie.” Whitney chided with an arrogant tone to her voice.

“I’m not defensive, I just don’t want you hurting Tony,” Pepper narrowed her eyes at Whitney. “And stop calling me groupie,” she said, increasing the tone of her voice.

“Then maybe you’re just jealous.” A sly smile rose to Whitney’s face.

A look of bewilderment overcame Pepper’s face. “Jealous? Of what? I told you Tony’s just a friend.”

“Jealous of all the attention everyone is getting but you,” Whitney teased her.

Pepper still looked confused. “Attention?”

Whitney took a step towards Pepper, who attempted to take a step back, but felt the window ledge press into her lower back which abruptly halted her retreat.

“Tony’s been my friend since we were kids, and now Rhodes has taken an interest in me. Correct me if I’m wrong, but they’re the only real friends you have.”

Pepper felt uncomfortable with Whitney being so close to her and having nowhere to retreat to.

“So what if they’re my only friends?”

Whitney leaned her face in close to Pepper’s, her voice suddenly changing to a softer tone. “With them preoccupied as of late, that must make you feel a bit like an outcast.”

Strands of Whitney’s hair fell forward with her shift in movement, flicking across Pepper’s bewildered face. Pepper could smell the sweet aroma of lilacs on the blonde girl, no doubt from some expensive perfume or hair product. The situation was becoming increasingly uncomfortable for the usual fiery redhead, but at the same time Pepper couldn’t helped but be soothed by the calming aroma that Whitney seemed to emanate from her elegant figure.

Pepper began to felt extremely flustered. She was not use to having someone in such close proximity to her, especially a girl whom she harbored such strong disliking for. When Pepper failed find an adequate response, Whitney continued.

“I’m right, aren’t I? You’re just upset you’ve been shut out from them.”

“Th-that’s not…” Pepper could only stammer out a weak excuse, unsure if she was caught off guard by Whitney’s suddenly aggressive behavior, or the possibility that Whitney might be right. It’s true her only two friends, whom she had just befriended a few months ago, have been keeping things from her and ignoring her as of late. She did also feel as if she was being replaced by Whitney, especially in Tony’s life.

Before Pepper could find an answer to complete her response, Whitney slowly reached out her hand and traced a finger up the middle of Pepper’s shirt, stopping at her chin which she playfully flicked.

“Don’t worry, groupie. If attention is all you need, then I can help you.”
Pepper’s heart began beating faster. The entire situation was becoming too uncomfortable for her, and she could feel feverous warmth beginning to rush to her face in response to Whitney’s touch. Pepper decided she should probably head home to think about what Whitney had said, but before she could leave the events in the hallway began to spiral out of control.

Whitney suddenly leaned and pressed her lips against Pepper’s, embracing her in a soft kiss. Pepper’s heart raced when their lips made contact, and felt that it would pound right out of her chest if it beat any faster.

What the hell is she doing? Pepper could only find herself thinking a response, as her body refused to move and break the kiss that the two girls were sharing. After a few moments which felt like an eternity, Whitney withdrew her face from the redhead, but only enough to allow herself to talk.

“Feeling better now?” Whitney teased.

“Wh-what?” Pepper said meekly, her mind unable to process the events that had just happened.

Whitney seemed dissatisfied with the results, and lowered her head slightly so she could resume her kissing, only on the side of Pepper’s neck. She gently nipped and pecked at the red-head’s soft skin, slowly moving downward as she did so. When she reached Pepper’s collar-bone, her nipping became a bit more aggressive. Pepper was free to talk, but found no words coming out of her mouth. As confused as she was about Whitney’s performance, a part of her didn’t want her to stop. Whitney stopped, but only to ask Pepper if she wanted her to stop. Pepper could barely hear the words over the pounding in her chest, and when she failed to respond, Whitney resumed with her work.

I'm not sure what you're going for here. The beginning is interesting, and eerily like an episode of the show I half remember, with Pepper freaking out and the whole little group ending up in a fight/holding her back.

Her resentment and inability to express it is solidly developed, though I have to wonder how many times Pepper and Rhodey are going to get super pissed over Tony's bad habits and then fizzle out; they have to either decide that they forgive him and will deal with it, or that the friendship is not able to withstand the flaws. (Conversely, Tony was justified in the second MM episode and the team found out as soon as he did and had a chance to explain. I think the end of the episode shows that Pepper and Rhodey recognize this but blah blah blah.)

The reasoning for the seduction seems a little hollow, to me. Pepper is lonely and wants attention so Whitney establishes dominance by fucking her? The whole first chapter felt like a tease, like a way to build Pepper's frustration instead of the release you or Whitney intended it to be. If that's what you're going for, great, but I do not know if you are or not. The sex itself is kind of...I like the build up and Pepper's confusion, but I feel like Whitney was able to maintain control, or the image of it, too well. The thing about Whitney is that she never realizes when she's about to go in over her head; she should stumble a few times in her efforts to be poised, cool, and in control.

Not sure where you're going with this, but I like this cast and so far you are writing them fairly well, so I look forward to the next chapter. To tl;dr a bit, the sex felt like all foreplay, so be aware that you are building up towards something that will need to be concluded properly. Keep writing!

I wrote it as a sort of re-telling of that episode you're describing.

Admittedly, I'm a bit disappointed with how this first chapter came out; mainly because it's my first foray into this kind of writing (both fanfiction and porn). I submitted some work to publishing companies in the past, so I feared the 'professional' part of me conflicting with the porn side of me. I was 3/4ths through the story when I remembered I was suppose to be writing smut, which may explain why the sex scene was a bit sudden and there.

I have lots of ideas, I just need to find the right execution (I knew I wanted a Whitney/Pepper scene in the hallway with fear of being caught) Also, as much as I don't like to admit it, I'm probably the worst at writing lesbian scenes; if only because I'm a guy who's had no real counter with lesbians outside of porn, so.. damned if I know what they're thinking)

The build up is another issue I played around with. I want this to be a multiple-chapter thing. The second chapter, titled Hotfix (yes I'm doing silly software terms for the titles like 'Alpha Testing (the process of testing the market to see if there's a desire for a product i.e. Whitney testing Pepper, because I'm autistic like that) and will be a shorter chapter and mainly about Pepper getting home, arguing with her dad a bit, and having a masturbation session in her room thinking about her encounter with Whitney) So probably more 'teasing'

After that I'm kinda at a crossroads. I can continue down the 'artsy psychological' route I already am, but I'm a bit afraid that, like you said, there will be more build up than actual pay off, which probably isn't the best for a porn fic The other is a more outlandish porn route where, say, Pepper throws Whitney to the basketball team for 'revenge' and is silly, but probably satisfying.

Like I said, I'm toying around with it because this is the first time I've done something like this, so suggestions are welcome.
