FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF you beat me to it.
Oh, so Sabo has a different hat, maybe this kid isn't as totally dead as we think he is.
I guess you could say that Absalom has some real animal magnetism.
Luffy sure was an annoying brat.Ace was a douche though.Sabo is weird though. Feels like he's been seen already.
somewhat neat chapter I got a real "huck finn" feel out of it.
Heh. Crazy kids.Garp isn't a real good guardian/judge of character is he? Luffy probably would have been safer off with Dragon than he is with these guys. Or with Garp. Or Shanks. Or anyone.
Absalom and Hogback have the cover story? That clinches it. We're not done with Moria yet.
>>7179Inorite? I did too.
>>7178He, uh... kinda looks like Bellamy?Tally up the classiest-looking dudes we've come across and maybe we'll find a connection. He's a dapper little dude, with his top hat and little cravat. Also Ace, you were a little creeper.
>>7181But Doflamingo killed Moria
>>7184You ARE kidding, right?
>>7173Wait... So... Oda does that mean there's some kind of tribe or island of Animal people? because that would make Bepo make WAAAAY more sense
>>7185I dunno. If Moria did actually turn out to be dead FOR REALZ, it'd certainly up Doflamingo's already considerably high hoshit factor. And he's killed before (as far as anyone can tell). On the other hand he's just as likely to say "jk lol" and go off to do his mysterious evil whatever the fuck he's been doing so... yeah.
>>7181We don't know if they're getting their own story. The covers have been featuring a wide range of characters these days.>>7186That sounds very possible, though I personally like the theory that Law used his powers to transplant human vocal chords into Bepo, either as a favor or just for the fun of it. Also keep in mind that most animals in the OP world have some degree of sapience and that some individuals exhibit exceptionally human behavior (i.e. the bear from Drum Island and Pappug the sea star).
Afjhdjkghdgjkdg
>>7189Oh man that kidso dead
>>7189Oh shit
>>7189Even with this, I'm still nursing the theory that Sabo is a young Kidd. DEM GOGGLES.
>>7194if Sabo is Kidd, wouldn't Luffy recognize him? Or Kidd recognize Luffy?
Maybe Sabo joined some group in the New World, and Ace set out to find him, like the Yonkou, or the Revolu-Ah who am I kidding he is deader than dead in a dead boat.
>>7178> Feels like he's been seen already. He may have been. You know Oda. Always dropping hints.
>>7195Well, if he is Kidd, he's looking pretty different. Luffy might not have recognized him. Not sure about the other way around, but hey, Kidd's a weird guy.
If Sabo does kick the bucket my sorrow might be a little dampened by the voice in my head going "called it!"
>>7194If Sabo's and Kidd's goggles are one and the same, it doesn't really mean that Sabo's Kidd.It could also mean that Kidd killed Sabo and took a trophy.
Gonna read this again when it hits mangastream because GODDAMN DID THAT GRAMMAR SUCK.Anyways, great start to what will surely be a tear jerker of a flashback story. Sabo, it'll be nice to know you, you dead son of a bitch!
You know, Sabo dying already seems so obvious that it could just be Oda screwing with us again and he doesn't (there may even be a part where it looks like he's gonna die but he doesn't).Though let's not get our hopes up : [
>>7173 How can Garp expect Luffy and Ace not to become pirates if he leaves them with people like that!? That on top of his "training methods" with Luffy, not what you would call great upbringing.
>>7212Garp seems kinda obliviousHence the "don't tell Garp when we go bandit-ing"
>>7212>>7213This. Garp, like all Ds... well, he can be rather silly, can't he?
>>7212Actually, I'm starting to think Garp left them with Dadan on purpose. He's starting to look less like he's doing stupid things for stupid reasons, and more trying he's trying to scare them away from the Marines. What this means for Luffy's ties to the Revolutionaries, though, I have no idea. All I'm saying is, there was another D we wrote off as silly last time. Then that same character started a war, used the commotion to break into Impel Down and boslter his crew, got the son of the last Pirate King killed, as well as a Yonkou, cut the Marines reach in the Grand Line effectively in half, and got his hands on not one, but two of the most powerful devil fruits out there.
>>7216When did we ever write Blackbeard off as silly?
>>7225I knew he wasn't going to be throw away when I first saw him but I had NO idea how nasty he was going to get
>>7225
>>7228
>>7229
>>7230
You know I keep thinking that Luffy, Ace and Sabo are going to be in deep trouble and then Dadan and her gang show up and kick all sorts of ass.
>>7228>>7229>>7230>>7231Man... I can't wait for the fight between these two.
>>7225"THIS CHERRY PIE TASTES SO GOOD IT HURTS!"Ds are not known for their tact, big bads included.
>>7246Agreed, it'll be crazyAnd about the Sabo = Kidd because of the goggles theory... Sabo's goggles are pentagonal and Kidd's are square...
.... Damn it Oda, QUIT WITH THE FLASHBACKS.QUIT DODGING THE ISSUE AND ADVANCE THE REAL STORY.
>>7250Problem is the real often because that much better because of the flashbacks eventually.
>>7252Has anyone really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like?
>>7253>>7252Quite.
>>7252>>7253Well, this thread sure got incomprehensible in a hurry.
Someone obviously needs to go through and list every single character wearing goggles ever shown. For science.
>>7256Usopp.
It's not the goggles.Something about his expression and teeth seems familiar.
You mean Konohamaru from Naruto?
>>7270
>>7180I don't get what was so bad about whoever Luffy was staying with at Fuschia Village...Well, Dadan's at least better than Garp's original choice...Thar Sea king just seemed so trustworthy
>>7275 He likely got pissed off that his Grandson now wanted to be the world's greatest pirate, and wanted to leave him somewhere he wouldn't come into contact with any more pirates.
>>7276My thinking here is this: He's purposefully leaving him with dangerous criminals to scare them into the clean cut Marines. Too bad he forgot that his kids carry the Will of D and don't seem to like the idea of straying from their chosen paths.
>>7277Garp is just doing what he thinks is right. It almost seems like after the death of Roger and battling Shiki, Garp just sort of went into semi-retirement to look after Ace and Luffy. I'm sure he wanted them to grow up to be Marines, but ultimately he just wants them to follow their hearts. Hell, if Garp and Sengoku are still around by the end of the series I can only imagine what their response to Luffy punching everyone marginally important will be.
>>7300Garp will laugh like a madman, Sengoku will facepalm harder than anyone has ever facepalmed before.
>>7303>Sengoku will Enel Facefixed.
I'm kinda getting annoyed with Luffy's character at this point. Would it kill Oda to give us SOME explanation as to why Luffy wants to be friends with Ace? Why he'd take all of that abuse and still chase after him? I don't see what's motivating him.
>>7327He's a child. A stupid one at that.
>>7328Yeah, given that Luffy did pretty much the same thing with Sabbo the second he met him it's probably just showing he'd be like that to anyone.
>>7327 Are you really that dense? Did the blatant flashback to Shanks not register with you?
>>7330Elaborate. I get how the flashback explains why he got over getting spit on, but how is it driving him to constantly pester Ace when Ace clearly shows he doesn't want Luffy around? I'd understand if Ace did something Luffy thought was particularly cool, or if Luffy had learned that Ace wanted to be a pirate... but Luffy didn't learn about the pirate thing until after getting caught by Ace and Sabo. I understand Luffy is supposed to be rock-stupid and extremely determined to get his way, but every other time in the past he started to nonstop pester somebody he's had a good reason for wanting them on his crew. I don't see where that happened with Ace.
>>7331He's a little kid. Ace is an older kid.I take it you've never had younger siblings.
>>7331>but every other time in the past he started to nonstop pester somebody he's had a good reason for wanting them on his crew.A certain zombie tree may disagree with you.
>>7332This. Eldest of three here. Also, grew up around kids older than me as well. If you can't understand the allure of the 'big kids,' then something went seriously wrong with your childhood.
