Wait, on the same page Smoker starts talking... what happened? I know someone got shot and something. I couldn't make it out.

No.5575
>>5573
Dude gets shot, other Marine (a VA I think) says not to help him and to continue fighting. Both Tashigi and Smoker are not happy about it

Or once again, Kizaru is being a total troll and pretending he's at Beckman's mercy. Look at his face, and the way he exaggerates his name. I have little doubt he is not fucking with him.

I just think Kizaru can't make any other face.

Is Hal gonna have to go through all of Kizaru's appearances and make a collage of his expressions?

Check page 9 of this chapter. Its not misspelled, the D is on his thumb.

That's a new fix, then. Reread harder, rereading dude.

Oda had it as DETH before he was introduced in the anime, and toei made it DEATH. Oda changed it to clear up inconsistencies

No.5584

Alternate theory: it was always death but Law amputated his second index finger and put the D on his thumb.

I. . .what everyone else said. Wow. When it comes to manga I've been moved enough to tear up a little a number of times, and been floored enough by new developments to let my jaw go slack. . .heck, about once a month for the past year. But I don't know if one chapter's ever done both to me as a one-two punch before.

No.5591
Man, just when I want the arc to finally end.. IT GETS AMAZING AGAIN. ODAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

How the fuck are they going to adapt this arc for the anime? Every panel has more action than their whole years animation budget.

No.5606

90-minutes episodes!

Holy fucking shit where the FUCK was Coby hiding his enormous testicles!?

And in Loguetown they say,
That young Coby's balls

Nah, I think Kizaru's just being a goof like always, kinda mocking him with his hands in the air.

Then again he's Kizaru, he feels nearly impossible to read.

No.5611
I think Beckman must pose some kind of threat there, because otherwise Kizaru wouldn't have stopped laser'ing his top priority.

No.5612
>>5606
I approve of this

No.5620
>>5611
Gun probably shoots seastone bullets, and he's good enough to predict where Kizaru will show up.

No.5632
I predict we have only part of one more week at Marineford, just to show Shanks getting ready to kick ALL the asses.

But we never actually see that happening. We get a two-page splash of Shanks and crew getting ready, and then we cut away to Law's sub.

I'd also like to predict that that sub is going to wind up surfing the tsunami back to Shabondy.

No.5637

And I don't think it'd be too out of question for him to be a damn fine Haki user.. I mean he IS Shank's Zoro.

I do like the face Akainu is making on this page... it looks like he'll need a change of pants.

No.5696
Call me slow, but I just realised Shanks must know what One Piece is.

Buggy too, actually. Actually, I think I realised this before and forgot I realised it.

No.5697
>>5696

he might, we don't really know when they joined the crew, or HOW they joined the crew. Just they were on it at some point.

No.5698
>>5697
Well we did see them getting yelled at by Rayleigh.

No.5700
There will be a chapter next week. Right?

No.5722
>>5700
Haven't seen anything mentioning Oda taking a break, so I'd say it's a safe bet.

No.5746
>>5722

ok, cool.

Thanks!

No.5758
I hope next week starts a strawhat whereabouts cover story.

No.5759
>>5758
I hope that we just see the CREW soon. Seriously, the war cannot be going on THAT MUCH longer.

No.5760
>>5746
I propose that each week somebody says that Oda's taking a break. So that each week we're pleasantly surprised and abundantly that there's a chapter- And when there isn't a chapter it's just par for the course.

No.5761
I actually forgot to read One Piece this week, so I just got to reading the newest issue.

OH MY GOD. SO AWESOME. ODA DIDN'T EVEN FORGET ABOUT THE HAT.

No.5762
Man, I just realized. I completely forgot that the Shishibukai are even THERE.

No.5763
>>5759
Yeah. I wouldn't mind if right after the war we cut away to what the other Straw Hats are up to in the way of getting back the Sunny/whatever shenanigans they're up to. Actually a chapter or two for each Straw Hat making their way back would be bitchin'; nothing incredibly drawn out, just brief and action-packed/interesting.

No.5764
>>5762
That's the worst thing about this arc, really. They all had a few interesting moments but have mostly been disappointing.

No.5765
>>5762
So so much going on... It's impossible for anyone to keep track of all these characters.

Also there's a chance some of them bailed as well after Blackbeard showed what he could do.

- Mihawk is potentially standing back, possible out of respect for Shanks. (They're drinking buddies after all)

- Donflamingo is probably laughing so damn hard he can't see straight.

- Boa is going to do everything she can to get to Luffy, first chance she gets.

- Moira is frothing at the mouth, probably trying to get to Whitebeard's body (LETS SEE KAIDOU BEAT ME NOW!)

- Kuma is Pacifista please insert girder. (Seems all that was left of him to resist commands is gone now)

No.5766
>>5765
Well it's good in a way because it leaves some mystery to them and it would be a bit much to have them take up more screen time. Now that you mention it, Whitebeards body is mostly useless to Moria without the Gura Gura fruit, so BB stealing makes even more sense because Moria would have been far too powerful with it as well.

No.5768
>>5765
Suppose it isn't really Kuma.

The way the anime handled his confrontation of Law and Kidd (the manga left it nebulous as to whether they were confronted by Kuma himself or just another Pacifista, while the anime had it be a Pacifita whom they defeated only to run into another one with the exact same cliffhanger, implying it was indeed Kuma. Otherwise, why go to all that trouble?) That, combined with his affiliation with Ivankov and the Revolutionaries, his brief exchange with Rayleigh, and his sparing of the Strawhat crew not once but twice... well, he's clearly up to something. It is indeed possible that he set some sort of plan into motion before allowing himself to be rendered braindead by Vegapunk, but it seems possible to me that he could have switched places with a Pacifista at some point during the battle.

Who knows?

No.5769
>>5766
Can Moria take devil fruit powers from corpses? None of his zombies had any.

Anyway, even without the fruit Whitebeard's body is still hella powerful.

>>5768
How did Kuma arrange to be Vegapunk'd and why did he do it in the first place, is what I wanna know.

No.5770
>>5768
Pacifistas don't have the Paw Paw Fruit power though.

No.5809
>>5769
Not sure, though I know he could take the powers with just the shadows.

No.5846
>>5809
No, he took skills with shadows. Powers remained in the user's body, thought. so when Oars first woke up, he THOUGHT he could stretch but he couldn't.
