But closer to topic: any arguments on how something should be spelled irks me. Yes, Zoro is spelled that way on his poster, but not everyone here's been reading from the American or Japanese or Brazilian or French version, which all have their own differences to make sure a joke comes across. As long as I know who you're talking about, I'm fine with talking about Lysopp or Ruffy.

Phoenix have different colors depending on the culture. We base it more off of a peacock or eagle, but most of Asia base it off a crane or chicken. And even in original myth, the color was debated.

This'd be far more annoying if the color was never even mentioned, but since we were only given blue and nothing else about Marco, there's not much for artists to play with.

Even if there isn't any romance in the series, people (fangirls) are still going to ship people. It's fun, and it makes the series more interesting for them (us).

What's annoying is when they start taking their shipping too seriously, claiming that the pairings are totally canon even if the creator says otherwise and bashing anyone that doesn't agree with them. One Piece should not be serious business.
