The thunderous roars of canon fire permeated the cloudy morning sky in Cocoyashi Village. The small streets were filled with the horrified screams of women and children as they huddled in darkened corners for their life. Emerging from one of the houses to see what was happening outside was Nojiko, Nami's adopted sister.But the ones responsible for this attack were no pirates or thieves, but the Marines who they were supposed to trust above all else in this dangerous world. Before she had any time to react, the young woman found herself surrounded by a squad of marines, all aiming their loaded rifles at her. "Sir, we've found her!" All too soon, an ominous tall figure appeared behind the soldiers. Behind him trailed a large coat draped over him as if a cape. There was no mistaking it, it was Admiral Akainu.Nojiko's petrified, fear-stricken body refused to move, and in an instant, the taller man had made his way in front of her. He stared down at the frail girl before thrusting forward a gloved hand to wrap around her neck. Almost effortlessly, he lifted up her body against the wall. Akainu spoke with a sneer on his face. "Did you really think I would let that mongrel's love have a happily-ever-after?" With his other free hand, the Admiral undid the front of his pants and began to violently rape his prey where all would see. Nojiko wanted to scream, to fight back, but her body would not let her. She felt lightheaded, ashamed and with the tight grip on her throat, she was barely able to breath, let alone talk. A single voice cried out from among the crowd. It was Genzo, the insane, scarred-up old family friend with a penchant for cheap plastic wind toys. "N-No! Please, let her go, sir! I--" His frantic cries were shortly cut off by the unified gunshots from the firing squad of marines. Genzo's lifeless body fell before Nojiko in a wet thud, and all she could do was silently cry in her continuing anguish.When Akainu was finished (which he notified to all with a loud, raspy hoarsely moan), he dropped Nojiko before him. Her despair and sorrow were overwhelming, and she now wanted nothing short of death. Akainu once again spoke to her in his usual calm voice. "I hate you because you once made him happy. I hate you because you stand for that endless circle of corruption. But most of all.. I hate you because you now carry inside you that criminal's bastard offspring!" Akainu's fist bubbled into liquid magma, and in a flash, he drove it through Nojiko's chest. "I took that rat to the grave in his complete failure and misery. I will not let him have any scrap of joy even in the afterlife if it's in the form of his living son."Nojiko's cold, dead stare trailed off towards the gray sky, where it remained frozen. Her body was eventually carried by the troops towards Bellemere's grave, where it was dumped and urinated on by some of the Marine personnel. Once again, all was well in the calm seas.
