Haven't had one of these threads in a while.
I'm bad at this.
Mark Strong has been a favorite since Rocknrolla, and each time I see him he never disappoints.
Dang it, Michael Pitt; now whenever you and Steve are both on screen I can't help but think about this movie (which was pretty good, I recommend it).Still, this is everything I wanted out of this series and I'm glad Steve is already doing an awesome job on it. My only complaint is maybe the overemphasis on the ol timey music (being used as the score).
Except it wasn't as good as either Batman or Sin City.
I'm still bad at this.
Did you know this was based on a real murder?
>>19533Obligatory.
>>19565I caught this on HBO around the dirt clod fight and watched it until the end. It was like watching my childhood get depression.
>>19567>It was like watching my childhood get caught up in some pretentious post modern self indulgent wank that did the story no justice.
>>19571lolno. The author himself said that it was a perfect adaption, exactly the way he wanted the story to be imagined as a film.
>>19572I think he said that more for the advertisement than anything else. I don't know anybody who felt the same things reading the book and watching the movie. They both had a very different tone. If that's how you were supposed to imagine it, I'm glad I didn't and the author is messed up for writing depressing children books.
i'm getting a huge Steve Brule vibe off him>>19572like the author's opinion has ever mattered to anyone
